Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, went into lockdown Monday night after reports emerged of an active shooter on campus. A student at the university, 19-year-old Hollis Daniels, is in custody after police say he shot and killed a university officer.
Fox 4 reports that a campus police officer who was making a welfare check on Daniels found drugs and drug paraphernalia. When the officer took him to the police station, the student pulled a gun on the officer and fatally shot him in the head.
The ghoulish freaks in the Texas Democratic Party immediately used this awful crime to go after concealed carry laws in Texas.
Allowing concealed guns on college campuses was a dumb and dangerous idea. Stay safe, Raiders. https://t.co/rppPSxqW8u— Texas Democrats (@texasdemocrats) October 10, 2017
There was swift outrage over the Democrats’ disgusting politicization. NRA spokesperson Dana Loesch summed up everything wrong with the tweet.
Um, how? Suspect reportedly 19, not old enough for FFL purchase or CHL. Did you even BOTHER waiting for facts before RUSHING to politicize? https://t.co/9l6UsZUw9Q— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) October 10, 2017
. @texasdemocrats deserves to be publicly shamed for rushing to blame illegal possession by a druggie on law-abiding CC licensees.— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) October 10, 2017
You realize that some early reports state that he grabbed a LEO gun? But YOU rushed to politicize this because to you agenda > truth.— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) October 10, 2017
You’re using an example of CLEARLY illegal activity to try to argue against legal activity. Absolutely moronic and reckless.— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) October 10, 2017
Facts don’t matter to Democrats as long as no crisis goes to waste.
