Mark Levin may have a new best friend. In a special, free episode of LevinTV, Levin interviewed former “Duck Dynasty” star Phil Robertson, who is the host of the upcoming CRTV show “In the Woods with Phil.”

The two had never met before, and in the long-form interview style of LevinTV, Mark Levin explored who the “Duck Commander” really is, what he believes, and what his new show will be about.

Robertson talked about his faith, and how before becoming a Christian he had lived a life full of sin. It was the work of God in flesh, through Jesus Christ, that his sins were forgiven.

“That’s a lot of sin removing,” Robertson said.

Robertson also shared with Levin how there is no discrimination, no distinction between Jew and gentile in the Christian faith.

We learn a lot more about Robertson’s life and background. Why did he, for instance, give up a promising football career for a life in the woods?

“I could either choose to chase ducks or volunteer to get into a vocation whereby large, violent men are chasing me,” Robertson explained.

His life in the woods proved a major success. Phil and his wife started by catching and selling fish at the fish market. At the end of the first year, they had $8,000 in sales. Fast-forward to the present and Phil Robertson is a multi-millionaire. “It’s called capitalism, hard work” Robertson said. “And freedom,” Levin interjected.

“And freedom,” Robertson agreed.

“I had a great, great time today with Phil Robertson,” Levin said on the radio Thursday night. “I interviewed him on LevinTV and it’s going to be aired in front of the paywall.”

“We both hit it off. I really like this man. And he’s incredibly smart. The way he explains things that you and I agree with and the way I explain them are quite different. And yet, as we both discussed, we come to the same point from the same value system, from the same belief system, from the same morals,” Levin said.

“And one day I’m gonna go down to Louisiana, we agreed, and spend a little bit of time with him.”
