Liberal pundit Sally Kohn has recently taken to defending one of the Left’s most infamous hateful bigots – Linda Sarsour. Sarsour, “a Hamas-tied and prominent Women’s March leader, Islamic supremacist, and anti-Semite,” as CR’s Jordan Schachtel wrote, recently called for a “jihad” against President Trump.
Kohn took to Twitter to ask those “attacking” Sarsour to “read what she actually believes IN HER OWN WORDS.”
That tweet led to a bit of epic trolling by people who have actually read Sarsour’s hateful statements.
Sarsour in her own words: anti-semitism not as bad as other racism. It "can’t exactly compare . . . to anti-black racism or Islamophobia." https://t.co/gJlFGSvp2P— Evan Siegfried (@evansiegfried) July 20, 2017
In case those two quotes don’t convince Sally she’s completely off her rocker in defending Sarsour, here are some more …
“Is there room for people who support the state of Israel and do not criticize it in the movement? There can’t be in feminism.” (Sarsour, The Nation, March 13, 2017)
“I want to make the distinction that while anti-Semitism is something that impacts Jewish Americans, it’s different than anti-Black racism or Islamophobia because it’s not systemic.” (Sarsour, Jewish Voice for Peace Video)
“Nothing is creepier than Zionism.” (Sarsour, Twitter)
Bottom line? Linda Sarsour is an avowed anti-Semite and intolerant Islamic supremacist.
You shouldn’t defend the indefensible, Sally.
Editor's note: D'oh! In an earlier version of this piece, we misspelled the last name of CR correspondent Jordan Schachtel. Sorry, Jordan!
