Trump tweets … Back in July, I highlighted how the firm that compiled the “Trump Dossier” was getting very little play in the mainstream media. Fast forward to today, President Trump tweeted: “Workers of firm involved with the discredited and Fake Dossier take the 5th. Who paid for it, Russia, the FBI or the Dems (or all)?” This sent media types into a frenzy.
WaPo reporter unaware of WaPo story … One of those journalists was Washington Post national correspondent Karen Tumulty, who tweeted: “Astonishing allegation by a President of the United States against the Federal Bureau of Investigation:” The Washington Examiner’s Byron York fired back with a link to a story in Tumulty’s own newspaper about an agreement the dossier’s author had with the FBI for payment that was reportedly never fulfilled.
Payment predicated on corroboration … Trump has a legitimate right to question whether or not the FBI paid in any part for the “dossier.” In April of this year, the NY Times reported that the FBI offered the author “$50,000 for his efforts.” The catch was he needed solid corroboration. The Times further reports that no payment was made, according to two sources. But what if those sources are wrong? This is the problem with the media — they forget what is reported and react in a knee-jerk manner.

Still no coverage of uranium deal … Also earlier this morning, Trump tweeted: “Uranium deal to Russia, with Clinton help and Obama Administration knowledge, is the biggest story that Fake Media doesn't want to follow!” Trump is absolutely right here. Checking again this morning, CNN and MSNBC have not covered this story at all, though many local news channels covered that the Senate Judiciary Committee is looking into the matter.
Chelsea Handler’s show canceled … Talk-show host and military coup fan Chelsea Handler’s show has been canceled. NewsBusters has the story. The short version is, Handler wants to leave the shackles of a network to be able to become a full-time anti-Trump activist. Funny, is that any different than what she does now?
More undercover Planned Parenthood videos? … The Federalist reports that even though there are multiple lawsuits against the Center for Medical Progress, the undercover investigation into Planned Parenthood’s practices will continue. The media should be praising the organization for its commitment to showing the truth, instead of relentlessly attacking the results.
I can’t fight back alone against the mainstream media. I need your help. There are two ways you can help. First, send your friends – and even your enemies – over to the WTF MSM!? email subscription page and get them sign up. Second, email me at email@example.com with anything questionable you see the media do. Together, we can fight back.
