Tuesday evening, President Donald Trump announced his selection of United States Circuit Court Judge Neil Gorsuch to fill the Supreme Court seat left vacant after the passing of Justice Antonin Scalia.
This nomination was the key issue for many conservatives who voted for Donald Trump. Conservative Review Editor-in-Chief Mark Levin streamed Judge Gorsuch’s speech, and offered his analysis afterwards.
Judge Gorsuch must now contend with the United States Senate as a contentious confirmation fight is on the horizon, with Senate Democrats vowing to filibuster and obstruct this nominee. Levin urged Republicans to hold the line and get this nominee confirmed.
“The Democrat Party now is the kamikaze party. They’re out to destroy everything they possibly can because they lost an election,” Levin said.
“I not only expect, I demand that the Republicans in the United States Senate led by Mitch McConnell do whatever they have to do to make sure this nominee ends up on the Supreme Court.”
Later on in the program, United States Senator Mike Lee, R-Utah (A, 100%) called in to the program to offer his thoughts on Judge Gorsuch’s nomination.
Lee gave a glowing endorsement of Judge Gorsuch, calling him “unusually good.”
