Ambassador Nikki Haley exposes UN’s anti-Israel kangaroo court

During an “emergency session” at the United Nations on Friday, U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley tore into the institution for its systematic bigotry against the state of Israel.

Haley defended President Trump’s announcement Wednesday recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, declaring that bullying tactics initiated by the U.N. have “done much more damage for the prospects of peace than to advance it.”

She reminded the delegates at Turtle Bay that “Israel, like all nations, has the right to determine its capital city.”

She educated U.N. members on the historic ties of the Jewish people to Jerusalem, adding that the United States “will not be lectured to by countries that lack any credibility when it comes to treating both Israelis and Palestinians fairly.”

For quite some time, the United Nations has been a militantly anti-Israel organization. From 2006 to 2016, the U.N. Human Rights Council has adopted 135 resolutions condemning countries. Of those, 68 resolutions (over half) singled out Israel.

From 2009 to 2014, UNESCO, another prominent UN agency, passed 47 condemnatory resolutions; 46 of them targeted Israel.

Haley stepped into her new ambassador role this year with some very tough talk and promises. As the U.S. representative on the global stage, she is making good on her words.
