Classic Ted Cruz: New ad shows senator with anti-gun Moms Demand Action
April 23, 2018
Senator Ted Cruz, R-Texas is kicking off the week with a new campaign ad.
"Texans are strong, fearless, independent," Cruz says in the two-minute video posted to social media. "Texans are free and we love freedom. And Texans are tough."
The ad checks off all the conservative boxes. Cruz talks about defending the Constitution, preserving freedom, lowering taxes, lowering regulation, reducing the national debt. The video features shots of different cities around Texas, decorated veterans supporting Cruz, "Back the Blue" T-shirts, and Cruz standing with ... "Moms Demand Action for gun sense in America" supporters?
Blink and you'll miss it. See screenshot:
Cruz is a strong supporter of gun rights. So what's he doing taking pictures with women supporting "Moms Demand Action," a left-wing anti-gun group?
It looks like they came to him. See this April 8 tweet featuring the two women in the Cruz ad.
That's not the first time Cruz has met with leftist protesters, listened patiently, and taken a great photo.
Once he even invited a protester to the microphones with him to debate the Iran nuclear deal for twenty minutes.
Give the senator credit: He handles these situations with class.
