Cruz: If bill doesn’t solve problems of Obamacare, ‘I’ll vote no’

Conservative Review Editor-in-Chief Mark Levin brought Senator Ted Cruz, R-Texas, on his program Tuesday night to discuss the free-speech crisis on college campuses and the Obamacare replacement being drafted in the Senate.

Cruz discussed a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing held Tuesday on “The Assault on the First Amendment on College Campuses," highlighting the importance of open debate and discussion — and how administrators and professors on college campuses are a huge part of the problem.

Moving to health care, Levin asked Cruz how he sees the fight playing out.

The Texas senator revealed that the bill is being drafted by the staff of Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., but hoped that the bill reflects the concerns of conservatives. Cruz said that he hasn’t seen the bill yet, but if it does not “solve the underlying problem” with Obamacare, he will vote no.

“We have to honor our promise to repeal Obamacare,” Cruz said.
