On Monday morning, former Secret Service agent and host of “The Dan Bongino Show” Dan Bongino appeared on “Fox & Friends” to comment on reports of a new “caravan” of Central Americans traveling through Mexico toward the U.S. border.
Bongino argued that the open-borders position and support for the “struggle” of illegal immigrants is uncompassionate toward Americans who bear the costs of illegal immigrants and U.S. immigrants who follow the law. Watch:
“What about the struggle of the thousands of people from a lot of these other countries that have waited patiently on line to do this the right way? What about that struggle?” Bongino asked.
He pointed out that liberals ignore the consequences of illegal immigration.
“One, there’s a consequence for us — Americans who have to finance this chaos. This isn’t immigration policy; this is chaos,” Bongino said. “Secondly, for people who come to the country patiently and legally and they do it the right way. You can’t have a country without borders. It’s just a landmass without borders.”
