Footnotes: The 15 most rewatchable movies if you're NOT a commie

Making the Twitter rounds this week is a 2015 FiveThirtyEight list of "The 25 Most Rewatchable Movies of All Time." The problem is that most of their readers are socialist, pinko-commie SJWs. So, while many of the movies are good in their own right, when you think of a rewatchable movie, it isn't necessarily the BEST movie you have ever seen, or even the most cinematic. Instead, a rewatchable movie is something that speaks to you in a way that other films don't.

So, since I am stuck working today, I figured I would share with you my list. If you like this sort of content, you would probably LOVE my Footnotes email, which you can sign up for at the bottom of this post to get it in your inbox everyday. Well, most weekdays, unless preempted by a federal holiday.

So here's my list. I don't really say which movies I would displace, but you can be sure that The Notebook and The Lion King would be off the list.

1. Rocky/Miracle

If you don't have some USA-centric sports movie on there ... you're probably a communist.

2. Top Hat

Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers ... if you haven't seen it, get thee some culture and watch it. You'll learn to dance, or at least want to the more you watch it. Millennials be like, "Ginger who?" probably.

3. The Rocky Horror Picture Show

Literally defines the genre of cult, rewatchable, audience engagement movie-watching. Come on people.

4. McClintock!, The Searchers, The Quiet Man, The Shootist, ANY JOHN WAYNE!

Again what pinko-commie wrote the FiveThirtyEight list? Who leaves out at least one movie from the Duke? Memorizing the one-liners is half the fun!

5. Spaceballs

Star Wars deserves to be on the list ... but so do Rick Moranis and Mel Brooks. When someone whips out a Star Wars quote, hence rewatchable, you can one-up them with a Spaceballs companion quote. Also, watch History of the World: Part I.

6. Elf

Christmas Vacation should go here, but along with A Christmas Story, cable syndication has sort of burned us out on these. Elf will soon befall the same fate I am sure, but for now ... it belongs.

7. Mean Girls

Obviously. Plus, this is WAY better than that stupid Notebook movie.

8. Blade Runner

The original gritty reboot, except it was the gritty original. This movie is almost perfect.

9. Breakfast at Tiffany's

Spoiler: It's about high society prostitutes. But it's Audrey, Hannibal from A-Team, Truman Capote, and Mickey Rooney playing the most un-PC role ever.

10. His Girl Friday

You think witty, walk-and-talk, cerebral, fast-talk banter was invented by Aaron Sorkin? Ha! Watch this Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell pic. Maybe not Grant's best ... but it's definitely REWATCHABLE.

11. The Big Lebowski

You're outta your element, Donny!

12. The Wes Anderson Collection

Honestly, they are all good in their own way, and should be watched as a collective, and rewatched to glean more and more from them each time.

13. The Jerk

Steve Martin at his finest. Some amazing one-liners in this movie.

14. Little Shop of Horrors

WHAT A CAST! Also, the songs are worth knowing. This is a funny, gothic, rewatchable movie for the ages!

15. Monty Python and the Holy Grail

How this didn't make the original list ... it's a CRIME! Terry Gilliam is a genius.
