Officials in the United States and United Kingdom have identified the man they believe is responsible for Monday’s suicide attack at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, England, which resulted in 22 dead and dozens more injured.
Salman Abedi, 22, a British national of Libyan origin has been deemed responsible for detonating an improvised explosive device just outside of Manchester Arena. Another 23-year-old man was reportedly arrested in connection with the attack, but his name has not yet been released.

CBS News reports that Abedi “was known to British authorities.” As terrorism expert Patrick Poole extensively documents over at PJ Media, Abedi is another “known wolf” in a long line of terrorists supported by global jihadist networks.
Abedi was born in Manchester in 1994 as the son of Libyan refugees who fled the Gaddafi regime, the U.K Telegraph reports.
The Islamic State terror group has claimed responsibility for the attack. A telegram memo from the group stated “a soldier” of ISIS “managed to place explosive devices in the midst of the gatherings of the Crusaders in the British city of Manchester, in revenge for Allah’s religion.”
“And what comes next will be more severe on the worshipers of the Cross and their allies, by Allah’s permission,” the message threatened.

In response to the attack, U.S. counterterrorism agencies are issuing a new terror alert for law enforcement nationwide.
Additionally, a State Department alert urged American citizens in Europe to “exercise additional vigilance” in locations that could potentially be targeted by ISIS terrorists.
President Trump called the jihadi terrorists “evil losers” in a statement condemning the bombing.
“I won't call them monsters because they would like that term. They would think that's a great name,” Trump said. “I will call them, from now on, ‘losers.’ Because that's what they are. They’re losers. And we'll have more of them. But they’re losers — just remember that.”
