Ilhan Omar puts many a good zealot to shame

It was only a month ago that the president honored a Holocaust survivor in the House of Representatives at the State of the Union address. Judah Samet’s father, when the family’s train to a concentration camp was stopped, jubilantly cried out, “It’s the Americans,” believing our forefathers in the red, white, and blue were the instruments of his deliverance from demonic evil. Democrats joined with Republicans in cheering his legacy.

A month later it appears that #NeverForget has already become #WeDoneForgot.

Those same Democrats in that same House of Representatives passed a “sham” vote supposedly decrying anti-Semitism but not its newfound champion, Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn. A chilling reminder that being condemned to repeat history isn’t just for the ignorant who fail to learn its lessons. It’s also for those fiends who think the saints of history were really the sinners, and therefore a return to the good ol’ days of Jew-hunting is just what the doctor ordered.

Omar was voted into office by a Midwestern state that knew full well some of her hateful predilections. And now she is being protected by a major American political party that defends her in part by treating her like a child, or by saying those pointing out her hateful rhetoric are actually the Islamophobic bigots.

I’m reminded of the accounts of those war veterans who came out of watching the opening battle scene of “Saving Private Ryan” feeling emotionally and psychologically overwhelmed because of how it returned them so viscerally to a terrible past. Who could blame a Jew for feeling something even fleetingly similar right now?

And Jews have more reason to feel that way than perhaps many of us know. Because here’s an undeniable truth of history for us to take a hard dose of: All human endeavors (whether they be nations, associations, movements, enterprises, or otherwise) that are in open rebellion to God or have rejected Him will ultimately embrace anti-Semitism.

Now, add to that, the long-term game plan of spirit-of-the-age progressivism has always been deicide — the killing of God, His truth, and His people — and you need not be remotely wary about accusations of paranoia in the face of the clanging whispers of Jew hate currently hanging in the air.

Sadly, you can now add anti-Semitism to the pile of issues including infanticide, religious freedom, and gender dysphoria that most of us wouldn’t have dared to predict would have gone mainstream. That’s why those with a concern for reviving America’s chapter of Western civilization need to start taking very seriously how quickly the wheels of history are now turning, as well as how dark the road will get before they are prepared to do their duty and intervene.

For whatever you choose and whenever you choose it, Omar is already countless steps ahead of you. Her passion for what she believes, and her dedication to turning those beliefs into reality, would put many a good zealot to shame. She is for real. She’s been in Congress for barely six weeks and has already bent the entire Democrat Party to her will.

And if she is continually allowed to get away with telling you exactly who she is with little or no consequence, she will sooner or later win the day. I mean, it’s not as if the Democrats just ran cover for a bunch of black-face wearing infanticide fanatics, is it?
