Our country faces its most existential threat ever—a subversive pan-Islamic Jihad that has been allowed to settle within our borders over the past few decades. The mix of mass migration from the Middle East and the intimidation of the Muslim Brotherhood against moderate Muslims have created a ubiquitous threat in every corner of our nation. Yet Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) wants you to know that he is a good person. Yes, he is a good person because he is not concerned with the problem; he is concerned about those of us who chronicle the problem.
Seeking the laudatory headlines from the media he’s successfully elicited, Flake went on a solidarity mission to the Islamic Center of the Northeast Valley in Scottsdale, AZ. During his sanctimonious pilgrimage, Flake outrageously asserted that Mohammad was persecuted like leaders of other faiths. “Early persecution drove Mohammed from Mecca to Medina,” bellowed Flake. He forgot about the pit stop Mohammed took to slaughter Jews (the “Banu Qurayza”).
Striking supercilious tones about “rhetoric,” reminiscent of the comments made by President Obama’s Attorney General, Flake declared, “[W]e are a better country than has been on display this week.” No, Flake was not condemning the multiple Islamic terror plots that have been uncovered over the past few weeks or the virulent anti-Semitism of the Muslim Brotherhood in our midst–the same maniacal Jew-hatred that led Mohammad to kill so many Jews back in the day. Flake wanted the public to know that he is concerned about conservatives in this country.
It is therefore not surprising that Flake chose as his photo-op venue a mosque led by Imam Anas Hlayhel, the head of the Arizona branch of CAIR. Remember, a 5th Circuit judge found CAIR to be a North American funding arm of Hamas during the Holy Land Foundation trial. Here are a few more tidbits that give you a glimpse into the radical Islamist, and often virulently anti-Jewish, nature of some of these mosques:
Anyone who wants to learn more about the leadership of this mosque should read this riveting op-ed by prominent moderate Muslim, M. Zuhdi Jasser. Jasser is president of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy and author of “A Battle for the Soul of Islam: An American Muslim Patriot’s Fight to Save His Faith.” After going on Fox to criticize the Muslim Brotherhood last year, Jasser was publicly shamed by an Imam at the Islamic Center of the Northeast Valley.
To Imam Yaser Ali that was worthy of takfir, a declaration of public apostasy. The mosque board and audience responded to his call to action against me, a Muslim he described as of “those who hate Islam,” with a resounding “inshallah” (God willing).
In the days to follow, local social media filled with subtle and not-so-subtle threats against me and my family from some rather prominent Valley Muslims.
While the venue was new, the mantra was a cheap rehash of the old, scorched-earth smear tactics peddled by the CAIR. Right after declaring me the enemy of all Muslims, Mr. Ali spoke of the so-called religious obligation to donate generously to CAIR.
Yaser Ali is the man standing next to Jeff Flake in the picture from the Arizona Republic article.
Folks, we have a political enemy within the Republican Party that coddles our national enemy within: radical Islamic supremacism.
Sure, there are individual Muslims who are not Islamic supremacists, such as Jesser and Dr. Nidal Alsayyed, the Imam who was fired for supporting a cool-off of immigration from the Middle East. And that is exactly the point. The only way to empower these moderates is too suspend the mass migration from the Middle East and expel the Muslim Brotherhood from our midst. Yet, instead of meeting with legitimate moderates, the reprehensible political class empowers the radicals who marginalize Muslims who are truly patriotic.
How surreal that an elected Republican visits a radical sympathizer of Hamas, which kills Jews with impunity, in order to decry the “rhetoric” of Donald Trump. How repugnant that Jeff Flake would empower a man who incited violence against a true moderate Muslim patriot.
That we have the Muslim Brotherhood in our midst is astounding. That we have Democrat politicians who champion them is repulsive. That we have Republicans like Jeff Flake empowering them is unconscionable.
In 2010, Judge Jorge Solis of the Northern District of Texas denied efforts by CAIR and other Muslim Brotherhood affiliates to have their names expunged from the trial record. Solis noted that “the Government has produced ample evidence to establish the associations of CAIR, ISNA and NAIT with HLF, the Islamic Association for Palestine (“IAP”), and with Hamas.” The judge cited a 1991 memorandum from a Muslim Brotherhood official explaining their goals in America as follows:
“Understanding the role of the Muslim Brotherhood in North America” is “a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and sabotaging its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all other religions.”
Sadly, there are endless Republican and Democrat politicians who are willing to serve as those hands for the Muslim Brotherhood.
