Jennifer Rubin is a leftist posing as a conservative

A political game the Washington Post has been playing for a long time is paying a leftist to pose as a conservative in the paper’s so-called “Right Turn” blog. Jennifer Rubin is called a “conservative” by the paper in order to tweak conservatives and force them to respond to her complete lack of integrity. In her hate-filled screeds, usually about actual conservatives, she does nothing but produce talking points to help the Left in its quest to destroy the nation.

This weekend, she continued to hold up her reputation as a professional political hit-man, a propagandist whose allegiance to the Left is more and more plain to see. Rubin’s comments this weekend about Sarah Huckabee Sanders on a leftist news show, as reported by The Hill:

“Sarah Huckabee Sanders is so concerned that people aren’t nice to her,” Rubin told MSNBC’s Joy Reid on "AM Joy." “And people like me think that — not that she should be harassed — but that she should be shunned. The reason is that she lies.”

First of all, is that an accurate statement of what Sanders has been trying to point out? That she is just “concerned that people aren’t nice to her”? Actually, Sanders is the target of absolute viciousness, prompting the Secret Service to provide her with a detail. Of all the nasty things for someone to say, in turning serious threats and harmful rhetoric into some sort of triviality, Rubin shows her true colors.

Not only does Rubin give the leftists what they want  — the head of a conservative  — she engages in what the leftists have sworn to do to every single person connected with the Trump administration: destroy their income and therefore their future. The level of political toxicity is at such a fever pitch that Rubin doesn’t even blink when she advocates destroying someone’s future.

Now, rest assured, Sarah Huckabee Sanders will in no way be shunned. In fact, it would surprise and disorient Rubin to know that Sanders is well beloved by Republicans. But she’s also not one hundred percent disliked by Democrats. If Jennifer Rubin wants to throw dirt at Sanders, she ought to be concerned about what Republicans think of Sanders if she wants to continue the charade of playing “conservative.” Sanders has a near eighty percent approval rating among Republicans. Not only that, but she was listed as one of the top ten most admired women in America by YouGov.

Also, Rubin repeats the mantra of the Left, saying that Sanders “lies” all the time. What do you call it when one side, the side that doesn’t hold any power, continuously calls the other side “liars”? It used to be called “sour grapes,” but we are supposed to believe the Left is concerned with accuracy in media after eight years of allowing the Obama administration to write their news for them.

Rubin continued:

“[Sanders] attacks our free press and no respectable employer should hire her after this term,” Rubin continued. “Also, no university and no news outlet. She has lied and she has endangered the lives of reporters and that’s why she should be shunned. Not harassed — shunned.”

This is the type of stuff Rubin has been doing for many years — she attaches herself to a great big noble idea, in this case, “our free press.” Much like “our mother” or “our son,” as if it is a monolithic entity that we have the duty to defend and praise, but not the right criticize. Until, of course, the great big noble idea comes after one of her pet RINO politicians; then her ire is directed at it, much like a sullen wife calls her naughty child “your son” to his father.

Rubin is neither stable nor principled in her criticisms. It’s not only Sanders; Spicer was a liar too. She penned several commentaries talking about how Spicer was “hapless,” “widely ridiculed,” and “frequently dishonest.” I guess everyone is a liar in the job of being the president’s press secretary. After all, even though it is statistically impossible, according to the press and Rubin, everything Trump says is a lie, and therefore everything anyone connected to him says is a lie.

I guess everyone in the Trump administration ought to be “shunned,” according to Rubin, which is not much different from what the Left is doing to every member of the administration. Rubin makes the effort to sound less threatening than the Left by saying Sanders should be shunned instead of harassed, but really, on the Left, there is little difference in the severity of the actions. Because she is being harassed, Sanders is the first press secretary to receive Secret Service protection.

But why should she never be allowed to work again? Because harpies like Jennifer Rubin can’t tell the difference between leftist media smears and the truth?

More Rubin:

“We don’t have to put [the press briefing] on television, we don’t have to put it on television live,” Rubin suggested on Sunday. “If by some chance she utters some morsel of accurate information it could be fact-checked and related to the audience. The same thing with the rallies — no reason to put them on live television.”

That’s rich. Rubin thinks she’s a member of the press. “We” don’t have to give Sanders or the president any air time. “We” can listen to the officials and then tell the people what “we” heard.

If in fact the press is free, and information ought to be free-flowing, and all those lofty principles about the freedom of the press Rubin is supposedly standing for, why in the world is Rubin calling for silencing and shunning the person tasked with talking to the press and the president of the United States himself?

Rubin is a lefty blogger posing as a “conservative,” which is in quotes because she is posing as what the Washington Post believes is a conservative. But the Post wouldn’t know what conservatism is in the first place. Instead, the paper is using Rubin to give conservatism a bad name.
