Love him or hate him, you will never have to guess what Kid Rock is thinking. The Michigan native, rock star, and potential candidate for U.S. Senate will flat out tell you — with language that leaves nothing to the imagination.
In a lengthy Facebook post and response to criticism from the mainstream media, Kid Rock (real name: Bobbie Ritchie) warns his fans to “Pay NO attention to the garbage the extreme left is trying to create!”
He writes, “They are trying to use the old confederate flag BS, etc. to stir the pot, when we all know none of this would be going on if I were not thinking of running for office.”
The liberal media are not waiting for Kid Rock to formally announce his candidacy before trying to smear him as a racist. The Detroit Free Press ran an editorial recently that labeled Kid Rock’s music as “crass cultural appropriation of black music,” and criticized his use of the Confederate flag and “Fuck Colin Kaepernick” statements.
Kid Rock says they’re just scared.
“Pretty funny how scared I have them all, and their only agenda is to try and label people / me racist who do not agree or cower to them!! No one had a word to say when we sold out the six shows at [Little Caesers Arena] back in January! My track record in Detroit and Michigan speaks for itself, and I would dare anyone talking trash to put theirs up against mine. I am also a homeowner and taxpayer in the city of Detroit, so suck on that too!”
Kid Rock also blasted an “idiot” New York Post reporter who erroneously claimed the rocker gloated over a story of Al Sharpton’s daughter being arrested.
“The idiot that posted it is such a bad reporter that he/she did not even check to see if this was my Twitter (which it is NOT!) – of course the press will report on everything else I have said here except this fake news,” Kid Rock wrote.
“Unreal. (and these are the types of stories that can not be taken back in this day and age because they go viral so quickly and the damage is done before the corrections can be made.)”
Still not done, Kid Rock doubled down on his condemnation of Colin Kaepernick, writing “Fuck ANYONE who takes a knee or sits during our national anthem,” and reminded his audience that he will be performing at Little Caesar’s Arena in Detroit. “I LOVE BLACK PEOPLE!!” he said.
If Kid Rock does toss his hat in the Michigan Senate, it will once again be a campaign unlike any previously seen in American politics.
How do we stop the mainstream media from warping the national narrative? We push back together. With the truth.
