Levin: Why do we need to hear from politicians in the wake of the Florida shooting?

LevinTV host Mark Levin began his national radio program Wednesday night discussing the horrific school shooting that occurred in South Florida. Levin questioned why exactly America needs to hear from politicians in the wake of the tragedy.

“I just wish at times like this we could just turn off every single politician,” Levin said. “Why do we need to hear from any politicians right now?”

Just hours after the shooting, lawmakers like Sen. Bill Nelson, D-Fla., and Rep. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., began making the rounds on news outlets calling once again for gun control in the wake of a tragedy.

“I don’t care what they say. I don’t care how many times they say it. I don’t care how emotional and passionate they are,” Levin said.

But, Levin noted, while many Americans would rather not see this tragedy politicized and exploited, it’s unavoidable.

“It will start with the Left, and let it start there,” he concluded, adding in that in contrast, “we have our humanity; we have our decency.”
