Levin: ‘Progressivism is the bastard child of Marxism’

LevinTV host Mark Levin spent the first hour of his radio show Thursday discussing progressivism at large, and how it is the opposite of what the founders intended.

“Progressivism is the antithesis of the principles set forth in the Declaration of Independence,” Levin said, explaining why the progressives “trashed” the Declaration.

“When I hear the Marxists dressed up as Black Lives Matter or Antifa … they like to talk about our Founding Fathers as slaveholders, and nothing more nothing less,” he said. “Yet they embrace an ideology, Marxism, that has resulted in the genocidal murder — mass murder, of tens of millions of human beings.”

Pointing to the Marxist societies in today’s world, such as Cuba, Venezuela, and North Korea, Levin noted how they are all repressive police states. Marxism “has to be imposed on people,” as it absolutely needs to be imposed on the people.

“Progressivism is the bastard child of Marxism,” Levin said, reminding listeners how the early progressives in America were huge admirers of Soviet revolutionaries.
