LevinTV host Mark Levin began his national radio show Wednesday evening by calling out California Democratic senator and potential presidential candidate Kamala Harris.

Levin’s statement was in response to Harris’ persistent questioning of CIA director nominee Gina Haspel earlier that day over the latter’s views of now-controversial interrogation techniques used against suspected terrorists in the wake of the 9/11 attacks.

“I don’t know what you were doing almost 17 years ago,” Levin said to Harris, “but Ms. Haspel was trying to help this country protect the American people.”

To remind listeners of the gravity of the situation back then, Levin played clips of emergency calls made in the chaos and confusion after the World Trade Center was attacked on that infamous late-summer day in 2001.

“They’re asking this wonderful lady, this Gina Haspel, about her moral compass?” Levin remarked incredulously of Harris and other Democratic senators who questioned Haspel at Wednesday’s hearing. “They’re grilling her about her morality when she stepped into the breach to try and protect the American people from enemies unknown when we were hit on 9/11?”

“I cannot stand these people,” Levin furiously concluded. “I despise these people.”
