Levin: What the MSM ‘dolts’ won’t say about Manafort’s indictment

Monday evening, LevinTV host Mark Levin kicked off the week reminding all those in the mainstream media who are forgetting crucial details of Paul Manafort's indictment.

The former Trump campaign aide has been charged with conspiracy against the United States in a money-laundering scheme involving the approximately $75 million Manafort and his associate Richard W. Gates made as unregistered foreign agents working in the Ukraine.

“Listen to me clearly: You’re not gonna hear this on these news programs ‘cause they’re dolts, or they’re ideologues, or they’re cutting jokes,” Levin said. “If these are serious charges, the statute of limitations would’ve legitimately run out on the earlier years that they’re talking about, with respect to the conspiracy charge.”

Listen:

Special counsel Robert Mueller was serving as FBI director while Manafort was allegedly engaged in this criminal activity. The question, Levin asks, is why wasn’t a case brought against Manafort when Mueller was in charge of the FBI and the statutes of limitations a non-issue?

“That means somebody dropped the ball,” Levin said.

“And furthermore, Donald Trump had nothing to do with any of this,” he added. “This predates his campaign. This predates his announcement that he’s running for president of the United States. There’s no Donald Trump world involved in any of this.”

“This isn’t about justice. This isn’t about seeking the truth,” Levin said. “This is about doing everything possible to make a case against the president of the United States when you don’t have a case against the president of the United States.”
