In Sunday night’s episode of “Life, Liberty & Levin,” Mark Levin interviewed Media Research Center founder and president Brent Bozell, discussing Republicans who attempt to appease the mainstream media.

Levin used the anti-Trump op-ed written by Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, as an example of how Republicans undermine themselves. Levin described Romney as a “chameleon” Republican, someone who changes his political positions to run for office. Bozell told Levin Romney is preparing to run for president by taking an anti-Trump position.

“If Mitt Romney is on a mission to revive and to restore and rehabilitate his image with the American people — an image that was shattered when he blew a campaign that he should have won — he’s doing it by running for the Senate and he is going to run for president in 2020,” Bozell said.

“He denies it,” Levin pointed out.

“Look, if you were Mitt Romney and you were running for president, what would you do? What would I do? I’d write an op-ed in the Washington Post attacking Trump. … I would declare war immediately on him,” Bozell said.

“This is the first salvo in Mitt Romney trying to get moderates to back him,” he added.

Bozell agreed with Levin that Romney is a “chameleon,” noting he is like many Senate Republicans who behave like conservatives “to win elections” and act like liberals in office.

He noted that Romney happily accepted President Trump’s endorsement for Senate before attacking Trump after winning the election.

“He was so grateful for it, and it helped him get elected,” Bozell said. “I think it’s disgraceful.”
