Video: Levin interviews Mo Brooks, hero of Alexandria shooting

Thursday evening’s episode of LevinTV will feature an exclusive interview with Rep. Mo Brooks, R-Ala., one of the Republican congressman who was present at the baseball practice field where James T. Hodgkinson opened fire with a rifle, injuring five people including Rep. Steve Scalise, R-La.

Brooks, one of several Republicans attending baseball practice that morning, was one of the heroes of the day, acting fast and tending to the wounded in the aftermath of the attack.

In promotional videos released for the episode, Rep. Brooks provides the harrowing details of the shooting to Conservative Review Editor-in-Chief Mark Levin.

The shooter, a Bernie Sanders supporter and far-Left partisan, came to that baseball field with the intent to kill. “He was clearly trying to kill Republican congressmen,” Brooks said.

According to Brooks’ account, if not for the Capitol Hill police in Rep. Scalise’s security detail bravely going on offense against the shooter, many people could have died.

“I tell ya, if they hadn’t been there, or if they had not risked their lives – two of them got shot; they were wounded, and they still persevered to protect all of us – but if they hadn’t been there, if they hadn’t done what they had done or if the shooter had taken them out, there easily would’ve been 10 or 20 people dead.”

Brooks also gave Levin a previously unreported detail of the attack, in which he described how Rep. Trent Kelly, R-Miss. is “the luckiest man alive,” after the shooting.

Rep. Brooks is a candidate in the Alabama Republican primary for U.S. Senate. The full episode featuring his interview with Mark Levin will air on CRTV Thursday evening at 9:00 pm ET and is available on demand for CRTV subscribers.
