Monday on the radio, LevinTV host Mark Levin discussed the merger of CRTV and TheBlaze into the new company Blaze Media.

“America is the land of firsts. America is the land of pioneers,” Levin said. “The old media environment is toxic, destructive, and undermining this republic. It is ideologically driven and dressed up as freedom of the press.”

“The progressive agenda is the antithesis to freedom of the press. It’s the antithesis to constitutional republicanism. The purpose of freedom of the press, like freedom of speech, is to have a robust debate,” Levin added that freedom of speech is “not about how to destroy America or fundamentally transform it.”

“This is not a merger of personalities, it is a merger of pioneers,” Levin said.

“We’re the early pamphleteers of this technology, CRTV and TheBlaze, and we’ve come together to create Blaze Media. We aren’t the wealthiest. We aren’t the most powerful. We aren’t the most famous. But we are part of a new media revolution, and so we wanted to muscle up,” he continued.

“This is about the republic and saving this country.”
