Mike Lee has a new book and Mark Levin wants you to read it

Earlier this week, Conservative Review Editor-in-Chief Mark Levin had Senator Mike Lee, R-Utah, on his radio program to discuss his new book, “Written Out of History: The Forgotten Founders Who Fought Big Government.”

Lee’s new book details the stories of American founding fathers who have largely fallen out of favor with academics and have been forgotten in American history – men and women who fought for limited government and individual liberty.

“This topic is very, very important,” Levin said. “And very interesting to me.”

Listen:

Lee’s book details people like Mercy Otis Warren, one of the most prominent female writers in the founding era and a friend of John Adams, who warned about the dangers of an encroaching federal government. Sen. Lee also discusses Canasatego, an Iroquois chief who taught Benjamin Franklin the principles of federalism and separated powers.

“If we can come to grips with their warnings now, we can reverse a lot of the damage that’s been done within our constitutional system,” Sen. Lee said. “But in order to do that, you first have to change people’s awareness and understanding of it. To do that, you have to tell the stories, and that’s why I wrote this book.”

“I think this is a really outstanding book,” Levin said. “I think you’re going to enjoy it very much.”
