Today is V.E. Day, or Victory in Europe Day, commemorating Nazi Germany’s formal surrender of its armed forces on May 8, 1945, ending the war in Europe.
The U.S. Department of Defense tweeted a cool video commemorating the victory, showing the U.S. Army destroying the Nazi Party emblem at Nuremberg Stadium, a site for countless Nazi Party rallies.
