Planned Parenthood medical director: Here’s how we dodge the law

The Center for Medical Progress has released yet another undercover video exposing Planned Parenthood’s evil.

This latest video shows Dr. Suzie Prabhakaran, the vice president of medical affairs for Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida, describing in detail how the nation’s number one provider of abortions performs late-term “dismemberment” abortions and skirts federal law banning partial-birth abortions.

In the video, Prabhakaran describes how Planned Parenthood trains its abortionists to certify compliance with the federal Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act, which outlaws an abortion procedure in which a fetus is extracted alive from its mother’s womb and killed. Prabhakaran explains how Planned Parenthood abortionists can appear to comply with the law by using a feticide like digoxin before the abortion to kill the baby in the womb, or by documenting their “intent” to perform a “dismemberment” abortion.

“So some people train to just document that like, you know to comply with the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban, you basically have to say, ‘I intend to utilize dismemberment techniques for this procedure,’” Prabhakaran says. “So every time you do a procedure, that’s how you document. So, like, there’s like a checkbox,” Prabhakaran explains, “so it would be before the procedure, you do your evaluation, you write, ‘I intend to utilize dismemberment techniques for this procedure.’”

Prabhakaran explicitly states that she never uses digoxin to kill the fetus before the abortion. “I’m not doing digoxin, and we’re just going to document and there’s never been a problem.”

The Center for Medical progress notes that Prabhakaran’s statements corroborate statements made by Dr. Deborah Nucatola in their first undercover video, showing a loose attitude toward compliance with the federal ban on partial-birth abortions.

“The Federal [Partial-Birth] Abortion Ban is a law, and laws are up to interpretation. So there are some people who interpret it as it’s intent. So if I say on Day 1 I do not intend to do this, what ultimately happens doesn’t matter,” Nucatola said.

There is no one in the room during these abortions to ensure that Planned Parenthood is following federal law. This video, and the other CMP videos describing how Planned Parenthood uses abortions to harvest organs for profit, clearly demonstrate the need for a full-scale congressional investigation. They certainly make Congress’ hesitance to defund Planned Parenthood inexcusable.

American tax dollars are supporting this evil organization. It is high time President Trump rallies Congress to defund Planned Parenthood once and for all.
