Planned Parenthood unveils new 'ground game' effort to defeat Republicans

Planned Parenthood is launching the "largest ground game" in its history to take out elected Republicans at the federal level, the nation's number one abortion provider announced Wednesday.

"Planned Parenthood Votes is launching its largest ground game ever to turn out voters and educate them about what's at stake," said Kelley Robinson, national organizing director for Planned Parenthood Federation of America, in a statement reported by The Hill.

"We'll knock on more doors and reach more voters than ever reached before in a midterm cycle."

The organization is partnering with other progressive groups and plans to reach 4.5 million voters. Their work begins on September 8, when 400 volunteers and staff will host over 30 canvass kickoff events in ten states.

"We are more than prepared to channel energy and advocacy into electoral victories," said Deirdre Schifeling, executive director of Planned Parenthood Votes.

"We know how this works, and effective immediately, our ground game will bring the fight to the ballot box."

This effort follows an ad campaign directed at opposing President Trump's Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh.

Earlier this month, Republicans once again failed to defund Planned Parenthood. Now the taxpayer-funded baby-murderers are working to kick them out of Congress. Lovely.
