These progs losing it over 'spineless' Dems might be your new favorite thing

Three days later, the #SchumerShutdown is over. The Senate voted Monday to reopen the government, after it quickly became apparent that shutting down the government to demand amnesty for illegal immigrants may not have been so smart.

At the end, Democrats caved. They demanded amnesty, but all they got was a promise from Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., to have a vote on a DACA bill — which was going to happen anyway, sometime before the March deadline to provide legal protections for illegal immigrants brought to the U.S. as children.

Progressive activist organizations are blasting the Democratic Party, accusing Senate Democrats of caving to the Republicans without scoring any progressive victories.

Weird, right? Usually it's conservatives who complain about the Republican Party not representing us.

Let's step through the looking glass:

Ouch!

Hahahah! Conservatives have been burned by the Republican Party for years. How do you like it, progressives?

Man, these guys are upset.

Actually, that's right. The Democratic Party's messaging is terrible. They wanted to prioritize illegal immigrants ahead of American citizens, and they shut down the government to do it.

Turns out American citizens don't like it when one party prioritizes illegals ahead of them.

So what are the progressives gonna do about it?

Oh yes. Yes, yes, yes. Make our day, Democrats. Campaign on identity politics. Knock off red-state Democratic incumbents like Claire McCaskill, Joe Manchin, or Heidi Heitkamp. Nominate extremists -- and then LOSE!

Buckle up, folks. The 2018 midterms are going to be amazing.

P.S. Does Sally Kohn know what "craven" means?
