On Thursday, Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., rose in objection to a proposed resolution from Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., that would support intelligence agency assessments that Russia interfered with the U.S. elections in 2016 and shield the Mueller probe from “interference.”
“Trump derangement syndrome has officially come to the Senate,” Paul declared.
Sen. @RandPaul: "Trump derangement syndrome has officially come to the Senate. The hatred for the President is so intense that partisans would rather risk war than give diplomacy a chance."

“Nobody is saying or excusing Russia’s meddling in our elections — absolutely, we should protect the integrity of our elections,” Paul said. But he accused this resolution of “simply bringing the hatred of the president to the Senate floor.”
Paul ripped those calling President Trump treasonous for talking to the Russians.
“For goodness’ sakes, we have the former head of the CIA, John Brennan, gallivanting across TV, now being paid for his opinion to call the president treasonous. This has got to stop. This is crazy hatred of the president; this is crazy partisanship that is driving this.”
Sanders introduced his resolution Thursday morning. It demands that Trump fully impose sanctions on Russia passed by Congress and fully cooperate with special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian collusion with the Trump campaign.
I am introducing a resolution at 11:20 AM on the Senate floor to demand that the President of the United States represent the interests of the American people and not Russia. Watch here: https://t.co/zyKevj3vFl pic.twitter.com/ty97d6skoV

Does anyone else think it’s funny that Bernie Sanders, who took his honeymoon in the Soviet Union, is now posing as a Russia hawk?
