Tonight in Wyoming, Sen. John Barrasso, R-Wy., is facing a significant primary challenge.
David Dodson, a businessman, has invested $1 million of his own money in his campaign to unseat Barrasso. He's running as a Washington D.C. outsider and initially had launched his campaign as an independent candidate before switching to run as a Republican. Barrasso has refused to debate Dodson, but has launched ads criticizing his opponent as a former Democrat donor.
John Holtz, Anthony Van Risseghem, and Rocky De La Fuente are also running.
Wyoming is a closed primary state, meaning voters must register with a political party to vote in that party's primary. Unaffiliated voters may register with a party on the same day they vote. The polls will close at 9:00 p.m. ET.
