During a White House press conference Wednesday explaining the administration’s new immigration proposals, WH adviser Stephen Miller got into a back-and-forth with CNN correspondent Jim Acosta over the history of American immigration policy.
It did not go well for Acosta (who cited a poem for his argument). Because Miller brought historical fact.
The reviews are in: Acosta got wrecked.
I've previously posited the theory that @acosta is a conservative plant to make liberal media look HORRIBLE. More evidence here. https://t.co/q8JQPzqNIH

The poem on the Statute of Liberty isn’t US law. That was a bad way for Acosta to make his argument.

Oh man. Stephen Miller SLAMS CNN's @Acosta for ? over new legal immigration policy. "Your cosmopolitan bias is showing"

Doublechin Jim @acosta stereotypes immigrants in most bigoted way. All kinds of Asians, Indians, Muslims, Latin Americans fluent in English

Dear @Acosta: Approximately 1.5 billion people on this planet speak english https://t.co/IiiXKXcBD0 pic.twitter.com/r8D3c2tJYR

stephen miller has the advantage in this exchange w/ acosta of actually knowing what he's talking about

Miller was quite good at pointing out Acosta's "cosmopolitan" bias ?? https://t.co/HuN9WO5Uw0

My advice for @acosta is to learn something about an issue before talking about it, but what do I know
— John Podhoretz (@jpodhoretz)August 2, 2017
According to my timeline, Jim Acosta thinks the Statue of Liberty decides immigration laws.
— Stephen Miller (@redsteeze) August 2, 2017
.@Acosta an advocate for a political point of view, not as a neutral reporter. He's not even playing the devil's advocate. This is bias.

Liberal reporter citing a sentimental poem as the basis for our laws pretty much fulfills every MSM stereotype ever.

Better luck next time, CNN. Try again when your reporters want to be objective ... and know something about what they’re asking.
