Trump is right to evict Palestinian terror-backers from DC

The Palestine Liberation Organization is, and always has been, a full-fledged Islamic terrorist organization. The Trump administration should call on the PLO delegation to the U.S. to make good on its threat to close its Washington, D.C., office, as its very presence in America is an insult to freedom-loving people everywhere.

Over the weekend, the Palestinians threatened to cut ties with the United States after the Trump administration insisted the Palestinians will face consequences for refusing to engage in peace talks with Israel.

Additionally, the State Department notified the PLO that its Washington office would be shut down if it continued to use the International Criminal Court as a weapon to harass Israel.

“We told them if they close the PLO’s office in Washington, they will be closing the door on negotiations and conversations with us,” Nabil Shaath, an adviser to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, told the Jerusalem Post.

“We said that you cannot claim to support peace between Israelis and Palestinians and then close the Palestinians’ office in your capital. If they close the office, we will stop communicating with the consul-general in Jerusalem and any of Trump’s envoys.”

The truth of the matter is that the PLO never had any business associating with the United States in the first place. In fact, harboring the PLO as a legitimate entity actually undermines the integrity of our war against radical Islamic terror.

Since its founding, the PLO has dedicated itself to the armed “liberation of Palestine,” (or, the annihilation of Israel and its people). The PLO was established as a reaction to the Zionist movement, with the sole purpose of defeating the cause for a national homeland for the Jewish people in the land of Israel.

The PLO, on its own, has engaged in thousands of terrorist attacks worldwide. For a long time, the PLO was a U.S.-designated terrorist organization. That changed when former Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat recognized Israel’s existence (but thereafter waged another holy war against the Jewish state).

PLO factions are responsible for popularizing Islamic terror tactics now commonly used by groups like al-Qaeda and ISIS, such as hijacking airplanes and using large vehicles as weapons of warfare.

The group is responsible for the infamous “Munich Massacre,” when Palestinian jihadis murdered 11 Israeli athletes at the 1972 Munich Olympics.

The group’s also responsible for initiating the First and Second Intifadas, which resulted in the deaths of thousands of Israelis and Palestinians. During the ‘60s and ‘70s, PLO-sponsored Palestinian hijackers took over several airliners filled with innocent Israelis.

The current chairman of the PLO is Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, who himself has incited countless acts of terrorism.

In 2015, Abbas rallied fellow Palestinians to wage Islamic warfare when he said, “Each drop of blood that was spilled in Jerusalem is pure blood as long as it’s for the sake of Allah. Every martyr will be in heaven and every wounded person will be rewarded, by Allah’s will.”

The PLO’s tactics have changed over time, but the group’s overall ambition remains the same. Sometimes, PLO officials play nice and get dressed up in fancy suits in an effort to present themselves as serious peace brokers who want to live side by side with Israel, fooling useful idiots like former Secretary of State John Kerry time and time again.

But behind the scenes, the group has always been a terrorist organization hell-bent on the destruction of Israel.
