VIDEO: Gay coffee shop owner kicks Christians out of his shop

The nonexistent “tolerance” of progressivism was on full display in Seattle, Wa., last week when a homosexual coffee shop owner refused service to a group of Christian pro-life activists and kicked them out of his shop.

According to The Liberator, the Christians had been evangelizing people in the city for days, handing out pro-life pamphlets and engaging with people to expose the horrors of abortion. When the group stopped in Bedlam Coffee for a drink and a rest, they were interrupted and told to leave.

“We had nothing on us, we weren’t distributing anything,” Caytie Davis told The Liberator. “We bought coffee and went upstairs.”

Alerted to their presence, the owner asked the Christians if they were the ones handing out pamphlets. He said that he was offended by their literature and proceeded to curse them out, blaspheme against Jesus Christ, and demand that they leave. The whole thing was caught on a video that has since gone viral with over 389,000 views.

The Christians attempted to reason with the owner, but he wouldn’t have it.

“So you’re not willing to tolerate our presence?” one of the Christians, Jonathan Sutherland, asked.

“Will you tolerate my presence?” the owner responded. Sutherland attempted to explain that they would, noting, “We’re actually in your coffee shop.”

“Really?” the owner demanded. “If I go get my boyfriend and f*ck him in the a** right here you’re going to tolerate that?”

The exchange did not improve. The owner demanded that the group vacate his shop immediately and said, “Tell all your f*cking friends, don’t f*cking come here.” After the Christians agreed to leave, Davis attempted to share the gospel message with the owner. “Just know that Christ can save you from that lifestyle,” she said.

“Yeah, I like a**,” the owner responded. “I’m not going to be saved by anything. I’d f*ck Christ in the a**. OK? He’s hot,” he said, blaspheming.

Now, where are the progressives leaping to the defense of the Christians? Isn’t this just like recent controversies involving Christian business owners who have cited religious objections to serving homosexual weddings? Shouldn’t the gay coffee shop owner be castigated in the media for discriminating against Christians and fined, like Christian bakery owners, for refusing service?

No, progressives won’t bother with this case, even though it is worse than a Christian refusing to participate in gay wedding. In each of those cases, the Christians have politely explained their religious objection to participating in a wedding ceremony the Christian faith teaches cannot be valid. Here, progressive “tolerance” included curses, blasphemy, and blatant discriminatory refusal of service to individuals because they are Christians.

In contrast to such hate, the pro-life Christians were utterly graceful. They told The Liberator they wish no harm on the coffee shop owners and do not want to see them treated like those Christian business owners who have been sued by angry homosexual couples.

It’s pretty clear who the “tolerant” ones are.
