Video: In 2011, Arizona Democratic Senate candidate Kyrsten Sinema attacked her own state as 'crazy'
October 11, 2018
Democrats and the media are trying to sell U.S. Senate candidate Rep. Kyrsten Sinema, D-Ariz., as a "moderate" Democrat, but she's actually a radical leftist who holds Arizona Republicans in contempt.
In 2011, Sinema attacked all Republicans in the state of Arizona as "crazy" in an address to the Texas Stonewall Democratic Caucus, an LGBT caucus of the Texas Democratic Party.
Her speech was themed "Arizona: Coming to a state near you."
The above short clips are edited together. In the full video below, Sinema says, "Over the past several years, people would watch what's happening in Arizona and be like, 'Damn, those people are crazy. Is it something about the water?' No, the water's fine, we stole it from Colorado. There's nothing wrong in the water; there's something wrong with the people in office in Arizona."
"And people say, 'Oh the Tea Party, the Tea Party.' Please, those people have been in charge for like 20 years in Arizona. They're called Republicans," Sinema continued.
"Tea Party, Republican, it's all the same thing. It's called crazy."
In her speech, Sinema attacked attempts by the Republican state legislature in Arizona to crack down on illegal immigration as "anti-immigrant." She slandered the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) as a "thinly veiled white power hate group" and warned that the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) was using "a national strategy to mainstream hatred that has been highlighted and flourished in the Arizona state legislature." ALEC helps state legislatures by creating model legislation to share conservative ideas across the country.
Sinema cited pro-life bills to have pregnant women view an ultrasound of their unborn babies before seeking an abortion as an example of "crazy" legislation that originated in Arizona
"What's happening in my state is pure craziness," Sinema said.
