Vote Alert: House: Approve the Keystone XL Pipeline

This vote would grant TransCanada immediate authority to begin constructing and operating the Keystone Pipeline, thereby circumventing all of the bureaucratic tape and stonewalling the Obama administration has created for years. If there was ever a slam-dunk positive initiative for the American economy, it is the Keystone pipeline. Completion of the 1,200-mile pipeline will create thousands of jobs, increase our energy output, and lower the price of oil and energy across the board for consumers. Moreover, pipelines are the most environmental friendly means of transporting oil, much cheaper and safer than transport by ship. The vote passed the House on January 9, 2015 in a roll call vote of 266-153.
