Vote Alert: Mike Lee Transportation Empowerment Act

This amendment would devolve local transportation responsibilities to the States. Each State could set their transportation priorities. It also reduces the cost of transportation projects and stretches taxpayer dollars further by providing federal regulatory relief. Simply put, states and local communities should make local transportation decisions, not Washington, D.C. The amendment was rejected on July 29, 2014 in a roll call vote of 28-69.
