A new poll of likely voters in Wisconsin shows that Republicans may have one more Senate race in play for 2018 than previously thought.

A Marquette Law School Poll found that Sen. Tammy Baldwin, D-Wisc., is holds just a two-point lead over her challenger, Republican nominee Leah Vukmir.

This poll shows a drastic improvement for Vukmir, who was trailing Baldwin by double digits at the end of July.

Registered voters polled also seem eager to vote.

Various midterm forecasts rate the Wisconsin Senate race as a likely Democratic win, but this new poll shows the race could be more competitive than thought. Republicans will need to go on offense in states like Wisconsin where Donald Trump won the presidential vote in 2016 in order to expand the slim GOP majority in the U.S. Senate.
