Brian Williams makes stuff up … Brian Williams, the disgraced former NBC Nightly News anchor, is at it again. This time he implied that someone told him Donald Trump didn’t even know the U.S. had troops in Qatar. The problem is that on his trip to Saudi Arabia, Trump mentioned the Central Command HQ in Qatar in remarks. Williams gonna Williams. NewsBusters has the story.
How do you say tora, tora, tora in Russian? … Not to be outdone, disgraced former CBS Evening News anchor Dan Rather went on Rachel Maddow’s show to say that Russia launched the equivalent of Pearl Harbor on the U.S. in the 2016 election. I wonder if Rather has some sort of memo to prove this? Once again, NewsBusters caught this gem.
Private hearing an ‘obstruction of justice’ … OK, this one isn’t about a disgraced former anchor, and considering it’s CNN, John King is somewhat balanced. But this statement was bizarre. King said on air that Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ meeting in a “private session” with the Senate Intelligence Committee could be “obstruction of justice” because he isn’t doing it in public. Never mind that public meeting of that committee are the exception, not the rule.
How do we stop the mainstream media from warping the national narrative? We push back together. With the truth. Be the first to receive CRTV’s free weapon against the worst the media has to offer. Introducing WTF MSM!?
WaPo takes the first step … The first step in any successful recovery is admitting you have a problem. Remorse comes later. Margaret Sullivan, the Washington Post’s media columnist, wrote this weekend about how the media is right to be biased against Trump. Sullivan writes, “The idea of balance is suspect on its face.” Sullivan was also a former public editor at the New York Times, the one who was supposed to guard against bias.
LOL Jennifer Rubin … Speaking of the Washington Post, its editors continue to call Jennifer Rubin their conservative voice. Which, of course, is laughable on its face. Rubin became a “conservative” when she joined the Post. I took the time to go over her latest LOL moments.
Bravo, Shakespeare sponsors … This one is not media, specifically, but culture, and an update to an item from last week. The Shakespeare in the Park production portraying U.S. Senators killing Donald Trump in the climactic scene of “Julius Caesar” has lost some of its funding. The NY Daily News reports that Delta and Bank of America have dropped their sponsorship of the organization.
