Two questions …

Praetorian Guard … In a nod to the elite troops that protected the Roman emperors, CRTV host Mark Levin routinely calls the media the Praetorian Guard. Over the past few weeks, that moniker has been apt. Media types are proactively working against transparency and openness. They are defending efforts to keep information from the American public. If they aren’t the ones publishing selective leaks of classified information, that information shouldn’t be made public, they clearly feel. Here are just a few of the most recent attempts over on Twitter:

It’s not just on Twitter. As I’ve discussed time and time again, Brian Stelter has been a virtual one-man wrecking ball on conservative coverage of the possibility that the Obama administration may have used intelligence agencies and law enforcement to spy on political opponents. It has been a constant drumbeat for months.

Then there’s yesterday’s Politico Magazine piece, which claims, “Trump’s Saturday night massacre is happening right before our eyes.” The argument of Norman Eisen, Caroline Fredrickson, and Noah Bookbinder is that “The aim of the campaign against the Mueller investigation and the FBI is clear: Obstructing justice.” Really? It can’t be to get at the truth?

Two questions … To these folks in the media, and other left-wing types, I have two questions.

  1. What if everything in the Nunes memo is true? What if there is real evidence that the Obama administration used intelligence agencies and law enforcement to spy on associates of Donald Trump during a political campaign?
  2. If the answer to the first question is “yes it is all true,” do you regret advocating against release of the memo?

Those are really the only two central questions that should be asked. Yes, I’ve brought these questions up before. I bring them up again because, in the end, nothing else really matters. Multiple reports say that the memo will be sent back to the House Intelligence Committee by the White House tomorrow, and it will subsequently be released. When you watch social media explode, remember to keep these two questions in mind.

Shameless plugs …

Bongino’s take … I know, I know, I told you all about how my colleague Dan Bongino has been out front on the issue of possible FBI, DOJ, and intelligence malfeasance by the Obama administration from the beginning. That’s why his CRTV podcast, distributed by Westwood One, has been on fire and rapidly moving up the charts recently. Today’s podcast is a must-listen. Bongino breaks down how we are rapidly reaching the end game on this scandal and that the media attempts to propagandize aren’t working.

Thanks for joining us … If you watched CRTV’s coverage of the State of the Union, thanks. Because of people like you, CRTV was ranked 8th for FB Live coverage of the speech by Delmondo. That’s right, more people watched the speech on CRTV’s FB page than on NPR, C-SPAN, CBS News, or any other non-cable conservative network. It is all of you who are helping us break through the liberal MSM nonsense to bring you facts. Thanks for reading this email and Conservative Review, and thanks for watching CRTV.

Is this newsletter the truth? …

Is this newsletter the truth? I like to think it is, and because you are reading it, I assume you do too. Of course I could be wrong. You could be reading just to laugh at me, not with me. No matter why you enjoy reading this newsletter, would you spread that joy? It’s easy. Invite your friends to sign up for the newsletter over at the WTF MSM!? email signup page. Then send me an email me at [email protected] to share the good news of how many more people you’ve invited to the inbox party. As always, feel free to tell me anything questionable you see the media do.
