People have been waiting in line since Sunday to get in to President Donald Trump's rally in Houston, Texas for Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and the line is still growing.
Video captured by KPRC2 shows a multitude of people lining up outside the Toyota Center for Monday night's rally, which will begin at 6:30 p.m. CT.
Some of the individuals waiting in line told KPRC2 they arrived as early as 7 o'clock Sunday morning.
Over 100,000 tickets have been requested for the Trump/Cruz rally, but the Toyota Center can only accommodate 18,000 people. The Trump campaign organized a "Big Texas Tailgate" for the overflow crowds.
"Texas is big, and so will be the turnout for our MAGA (Make America Great Again) rally in Houston, Texas, Monday," said Michael Glassner, chief operating officer for Trump's campaign.
One thing can’t be denied: Donald Trump has more star power right now than any other politician in America. If Trump can turn crowd sizes into votes in 2018 like he did in 2016, Ted Cruz will be fine.
