Zuckerberg-funded tech foundation pals around with CAIR

Officials from the tech giant-funded Silicon Valley Community Foundation (SVCF) were present at the terror-tied Council on American Islamic Relations San Francisco chapter’s annual fundraiser this weekend.

The non-profit, which is heavily funded by Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, received an award from the CAIR branch for its “incredible allyship” (massive donations) to the group’s causes.

Given the tech foundation’s supposed “progressive” values, it may come as a shock to explore the company they keep in the form of CAIR and its abettors.

CAIR’s San Francisco Bay Area chapter (CAIR-SFBA) is one of the most radical branches of the organization, which really says a lot, considering the fact that CAIR as a whole was labeled an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terror-financing case in U.S. history.

CAIR was founded to support Hamas, a U.S.-designated terror group, and it has been banned in the UAE as a terrorist organization.

Zahra Billoo, the director of CAIR SFBA, has in the past used the occasion of Memorial Day to rant about how U.S. soldiers are “killing innocents.” She also claims that American service members are worse than ISIS. She is known for her vicious hatred of Israel and advises fellow Muslims to attempt to thwart FBI investigations.

In 2011, her chapter created a poster that said “Build a Wall of Resistance; Don’t Talk to the FBI.” And in 2014, she tweeted that she will not renounce the concept of jihad, an Islamic caliphate, or sharia law.

At this weekend’s banquet, the radical Islamic activist told the audience that the threat of “genocide” from the current leaders in Washington “is not so distant.”

Other speakers included Linda Sarsour, who has made waves for calling for a “jihad” against President Trump.

Another featured speaker was Imam Siraj Wahhaj, who was listed as an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombings, and serves as a “mentor, motivator, and encourager” for Sarsour. The Islamist preacher has called homosexuality a “disease” that is punishable by death.

Basim Elkarra, the director of CAIR’s Sacramento chapter, served as the master of ceremonies. He has refused to condemn Hamas and Hezbollah as terrorist groups. Moreover, as a member of the Muslim Students Association (MSA), he led a panel featuring a Hamas operative.

Given the aforementioned instances of radical behavior, it might come as a shock to learn that Silicon Valley’s major players continues to finance CAIR’s operations.

The Silicon Valley Community Foundation not only partners with CAIR on several initiatives, it delivers the organization six-figure grants to bolster its outreach. Since 2008, the SVCF has dished out $330,524 to CAIR and another terror-tied group, Islamic Relief, according to Sam Westrop of the Gatestone Institute.

And the SVCF has incredibly high cash reserves to continue funding the terror-tied group. In 2012, Zuckerberg donated 18 million Facebook shares to the SVCF, the value of which is now well over $3 billion.

But Facebook’s Zuckerberg is hardly the only major giver to the SVCF. The foundation is partnered with a who’s who of tech giants, including EBay, Hewlett Packard, Dell, Microsoft, and Cisco, to name just a few.
