'I don’t feel comfortable racing against men': Man claiming to be female since 2017 crushes another women's track record

A 50-year-old former soccer player and triathlete began claiming to be a woman six years ago. In an apparent effort to make up for lost time, he has since been racing to break records set by female athletes at various track events.

Over the weekend, "Tiffany" Newell placed first at the 2023 Canadian Masters Indoor Championship in Toronto. Catherine Weber, his sole opponent in the 50-54 age group for the women's 1500-meter indoor race, appears to have placed first among real women in the category.

Newell managed to break another record earlier this month, which has since been ratified by Canadian Masters Athletics under the regulations of World Masters Athletics. Newell ran 18:02:30 in the 5000m, beating the real woman previously in the top spot by six seconds.

Reduxx reported that Newell also secured the top spots on Jan. 8 in the women's 3000 meters in the 45-49 age group at the Winter Mini Meet and on Feb. 5 in the 1500 meters for women ages 45-49.

Running Magazine indicated that Newell began his process of gender transmogrification in 2017, but did not begin competing against women until the transition was reportedly complete in 2020, at which time his testosterone levels satisfied the requirements set by the World Athletics transsexual athlete policies.

Accordingly, Newell would have had to "demonstrate to the satisfaction of the Expert Panel (on the balance of probabilities) that the concentration of testosterone in her serum has been less than 5 nmol/L3 continuously for a period of at least 12 months."

He would also have had to keep his "serum testosterone concentration below 5 nmol/L for so long as she wishes to maintain her eligibility to compete in the female category of competition."

To satisfy the requirements adhered to by WMA, it is not necessary that a male transsexual competing with women undergo surgical anatomical changes or provide legal recognition of his gender identity.

Since completing his so-called transition in 2020, Newell has also competed against women at the 2021 Canadian XC Championships in the masters 8k, securing a silver medal, as well as at the 2022 Hamilton Marathon.

In response to the transsexual's recognized victories, the International Consortium on Female Sport, an advocacy group that seeks to protect meaningful distinctions in sexed categories, asked World Athletics and WMA: "WHY are you not protecting the integrity of the female category? WHY do you insist on showing such blatant sex-discrimination?"

“BREAKING ⚠️
New World #1 in women’s 50-54 age 1500m is a male athlete.

Qs to @WorldAthletics & @WMA_Social :
👉🏼WHY are you not protecting the integrity of the female category?
👉🏼WHY do you insist on showing such blatant sex-discrimination?

#SaveWomensSports
#WorldAthletics”

George Perry, an athlete performance coach, noted in a Twitter thread ahead of Newell's most recent victories that there are some meaningful differences between male and female track competitors, at least in the way of performance and outcomes:

“25/ Take another look at some of the graphs.

Imagine if they showed the results for all men and women in each AG for each event. There wouldn’t be empty space between the men’s record holder and the women’s record holder.

That space would be filled with men. Lots of men.”
— George M. Perry (@George M. Perry) 1674062144

Perry underscored that between the top man and the top woman will be a lot of "un-notable men, midgrade, mediocre men," of which he reckons Newell is one.

Running Magazine noted that in response to the suggestion by some critics that transsexuals compete in an open category besides those designated for biological men and women, Newell said, "The policy makes sense for non-binary athletes, but I don’t feel comfortable racing against men."

Newell suggested that an open category would categorize him in the sex he does not identify with: "I am a woman, and I feel most comfortable racing against women or other transgender women. I believe an open category can work if athletes can continue to race against athletes of the same gender."

One Twitter user suggested that when transsexuals like Newell "steal women's accomplishments it is the worst kind of sexism."

“This is why it is so important for
@WorldAthletics
to FIX their policy!!

This is another shameful man stealing women's records and accomplishments. Sex stereotype nonconforming men are not women. When they steal women's accomplishments it is the worst kind of sexism.”

The Guardian reported in 2020 that male transsexuals retain a 12% edge in tests two years after "transitioning." This conclusion was first reached in a paper published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine showing male transsexuals performed 31% more push-ups and 15% more sit-ups in one minute on average than real women and ran 1.5 miles 21% faster.

After taking hormones, a male transsexual was found to retain a 10% advantage in push-ups and a 6% advantage in sit-ups years later.

World Athletics president Sebastian Coe told Insider last year, "If you pushed me and said I had to choose between fairness or inclusion, I will always lean towards fairness, because that’s what sports have to be based on."

Arrest made in case of woman, 19, who lost eye after being punched in head while standing up for special-needs boy. She told her attacker to stop bullying him.

Readers of TheBlaze may recall reading about a 19-year-old good Samaritan who lost an eye after being punched in head while standing up for a special-needs boy in November. Bianca Palomera told her attacker to stop bullying the boy — and it cost her.

Well, police earlier this month said they arrested Isaac White-Carter, 20, in connection with the crime, KRON-TV reported. White-Carter was charged with two felonies: mayhem and assault causing great bodily injury, police told the station.

What's the background?

Palomera was working as an assistant manager in a Habit Burger Grill in Antioch, California, on Nov. 12 when she said she saw a man harassing a special-needs boy who was standing alone, the station said.

The boy’s older brother worked at the restaurant, and Palomera told KRON she intervened because it was the right thing to do, telling the bully, “You can just leave.”

Palomera told the station the man quickly became hostile toward her, yelling anti-Mexican slurs and punching her multiple times.

“An employee was punched in the face multiple times after protecting an individual with an intellectual disability from being bullied,” police said, according to KRON.

The culprit was with a group of other men, and they all departed in a gray BMW SUV, the station said.

“After he had attacked me, the other people he was with, they just collected their food and left, like nothing had happened,” Palomera said, according to KRON.

Palomera was rushed to a hospital trauma center, the station said: “I thought I was crying, but then I realized that it was blood going down my cheek onto my shirt. At the ER, when they opened it, I asked, ‘Did you open my eye?’ And that’s kind of when I knew I couldn’t see. It was just black.”

White-Carter admitted to police that he was at the restaurant on the day of the attack and told investigators “his side of the story,” police told KRON, adding that he could face hate crime charges, as police added that "there were statements made during the attack that will be reviewed to see if hate crime charges apply."

'Don’t be afraid to step up for somebody'

A GoFundMe page organized by Palomera’s sister has raised more than $225,000 as of Tuesday; the money will help pay for the victim’s medical bills, the station said.

Palomera told KRON that despite her life-altering injury, she hopes others will stand up to bullies: “Don’t be afraid to step up for somebody, whether you know them or not. If you won’t do it, no one else will."

A little girl was videotaping her game of tag at a park when a lethal gunfight broke out in Silicon Valley city

A terrifying video shows a little girl videotaping her innocent game of tag when a lethal gunfight broke out at a kids' park in an expensive Silicon Valley city in California.

The disturbing incident unfolded on Tuesday at the Jack Farrell Park in East Palo Alto at about 6 p.m.

A child can be heard saying, "Tag, you're it!" before the chaos.

The video captures the scenes of the girl running for her life through a softball field as numerous gunshots are heard in the background.

At the end, she pleads, "Help me!"

A witness who wants to remain anonymous told KRON-TV what happened next.

“That was my niece recording with some of my other nieces and nephews," said the witness. "She ran towards us at the softball field. Then the bullets came flying towards the softball field and bleachers where we were with all of our other kids.”

Police Chief Jeff Liu told reporters that about 33 gunshots were fired, and four adults were shot. One died.

Witnesses said there were at least 60 children playing at the park and they panicked and ran as the gunshots rang out.

The gunshots set off the East Palo Alto Police Department’s ShotSpotter alert system and police immediately responded to the park. There they found the victim, identified as 34-year-old Ralph Fields Jr. He died in an ambulance on route to a hospital.

He is also the cousin of Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams.

A second witness said one of the gunshot victims run towards the field where families were sitting with their children.

"We’re so very fortunate that none of us were seriously injured. One of my cousins was grazed by a bullet in the back of the head but he’s okay,” said the witness.

Liu said the other three victims are expected to survive.

A local pastor and community activist noted that the harrowing incident even broke the code of the street.

“There is a street code that’s out there. You even broke the street code by shooting where kids were. Kids were running, saying ‘mommy help me.’ This is totally unacceptable,” said Pastor Paul Bains to KRON.

"If you see something, say something," he said at a media briefing with police. "Otherwise this is going to happen again. Because retaliation is what ignorant, stupid minds want to do. We're not gonna tolerate this."

In February, the average price of a home in East Palo Alto exceeded $1 million, according to a report from Zillow.

Transgender Jeopardy champion Amy Schneider claims that bills in US 'will cause the deaths of children'

During a visit to the White House Thursday on International Transgender Day of Visibility, "Jeopardy!" star Amy Schneider, a biological man who identifies as a woman, claimed that bills around the U.S. will lead to child deaths.

"They're really scary. And, ah, some of them in particular that are denying, ah, medical services, ah, to trans youth ... those are lifesaving medical treatments," Schneider said, claiming that "these bills ... will cause the deaths of children."

Immediately after issuing that dire prognostication, Schneider was asked about the possibility of engaging in activism to push back.

"Not at the moment," Schneider replied. "I am trying to figure out where that sort of advocacy and activism fits in to my life," Schneider said. "I would like to do more of it," Schneider said, expressing uncertainty about the right way to do so.

So, um, this happened. They did *not* tell me I would be asked questions, but put me on a stage and I just can’t help but perform lolhttps://twitter.com/cspan/status/1509609780838637571 …

Some states have approved or are considering measures to protect children against radical leftist gender ideology.

Schneider, who rose to prominence by attaining an impressive winning streak on the trivia gameshow, racked up 40 consecutive wins, an achievement eclipsed only by Ken Jennings, who holds the record with 74 consecutive game wins.

Last year, Larissa Kelly, the woman with the highest all-time Jeopardy earnings, congratulated Schneider for breaking the record.

"Well, it was fun to hold a Jeopardy record for a few years...but it's been even more fun to watch @Jeopardamy set new standards for excellence, on the show and off. Congratulations to Amy on becoming the woman with the highest overall earnings in the show's history!" Kelly tweeted.

"Thanks so much, I’m honored to be in your company, and I look forward to some day watching the woman who beats us both!" Schneider responded.

COVID-quarantined Hillary Clinton asks for movie suggestions — instantly regrets it

Be careful what you ask for, especially when you're a certain former secretary of state with ties to Hollywood-worthy catastrophes, such as what happened in Benghazi or with Jeffrey Epstein.

As you may have heard by now, Hillary Clinton has tested positive for COVID but is "feeling fine." The former first lady made the announcement on Twitter (adding a pitch for the COVID vaccine) before asking for "movie recommendations."

"Well, I've tested positive for COVID. I've got some mild cold symptoms but am feeling fine. I'm more grateful than ever for the protection vaccines can provide against serious illness. Please get vaccinated and boosted if you haven't already!" she tweeted. "Bill tested negative and is feeling fine. He's quarantining until our household is fully in the clear. Movie recommendations appreciated!"

Facebook slaps down The Babylon Bee, claims that a post from the satire site 'goes against our Community Standards on hate speech'

Facebook has declared that a post by the satire site The Babylon Bee ran afoul of standards regarding hate speech.

The popular satire site had shared an article mocking the idea that Amy Schneider, a biological man who identifies as a transgender woman, broke the record for winning the most money of any woman in the history of "Jeopardy!"

Facebook slapped down the satire site for posting the piece titled, "Trans Woman Breaks Jeopardy Record, Proving Once And For All That Men Are Smarter Than Women."

"Your post goes against our Community Standards on hate speech," Facebook declared, according to a screenshot posted by Babylon Bee Managing Editor Joel Berry. "No one else can see your post. We have these standards because we want discussions on Facebook to be respectful. Repeatedly violating our Community Standards can cause further account restrictions. If you think we've made a mistake you can disagree with the decision."

Berry tweeted, "Pretty proud of this. It's not often we manage to get transphobia and misogyny into one headline."

The Babylon Bee's CEO Seth Dillon said that the site will appeal, according to Not the Bee.

During Schneider's impressive winning streak on the gameshow, Larissa Kelly, who had previously held the record as the woman with the highest overall "Jeopardy!" earnings, congratulated Schneider for breaking that record.

"Well, it was fun to hold a Jeopardy record for a few years...but it's been even more fun to watch @Jeopardamy set new standards for excellence, on the show and off. Congratulations to Amy on becoming the woman with the highest overall earnings in the show's history!" Kelly tweeted.

Transgender 'Jeopardy!' contestant's winning streak finally comes to an end

Transgender "Jeopardy!" contestant Amy Schneider's impressive winning streak came to an end after a whopping 40 wins on the show.

Schneider racked up more than $1.38 million in winnings and will return in the future for the gameshow's "Tournament of Champions."

Schneider now sits in second place behind Ken Jennings for the most consecutive games won on the show —Jennings won 74 consecutive games.

"The best outcome of all of this always is going to be whatever help I’ve been able to offer the trans community," Schneider said, according to the Associated Press. "I'm here because of the sacrifices countless trans people have made, often to the extent of risking their lives. To do my part to move that cause forward, it's really special."

After Schneider, a biological male who identifies as a woman, surpassed the record held by Larissa Kelly for the most all-time winnings of any woman on the show, Kelly congratulated Schneider for "becoming the woman with the highest overall earnings in the show's history!"

Schneider replied, "Thanks so much, I’m honored to be in your company, and I look forward to some day watching the woman who beats us both!"

Transgender 'Jeopardy!' contestant, who is a biological male, congratulated for 'becoming the woman with the highest overall earnings in the show's history'

"Jeopardy!" contestant Amy Schneider has been on an impressive winning streak, earning more money than any female competitor in Jeopardy history — but Schneider, a transgender woman, is actually a biological man.

Larissa Kelly, who previously held the distinction as the woman with the highest all-time winnings, congratulated Schneider on taking the top spot.

"Well, it was fun to hold a Jeopardy record for a few years...but it's been even more fun to watch @Jeopardamy set new standards for excellence, on the show and off. Congratulations to Amy on becoming the woman with the highest overall earnings in the show's history!" Kelly tweeted.

Schneider apparently had no qualms laying claim to the women's record, replying, "Thanks so much, I’m honored to be in your company, and I look forward to some day watching the woman who beats us both!"

Kelly replied: "I hope there will be a long line of such women, but you are certainly setting the bar extremely high for them! (And holy hell, that's *before* any tournaments...can't wait to see the fireworks to come!)"

So far Schneider, who won the game that aired on Tuesday, has won 20 games and racked up $768,600 in winnings, surpassing Kelly's $655,930 record.

"I am a trans woman, and I'm proud of that fact, but I'm a lot of other things, too!" Schneider tweeted in November.

"The fact is, I don't actually think about being trans all that often, and so when appearing on national television, I wanted to represent that part of my identity accurately: as important, but also relatively minor," Schneider wrote in the same Twitter thread. "But I also didn't want it to seem as if it was some kind of shameful secret. While it's gratifying to know that people didn't necessarily know I was trans until they read about it, I do want people to know that aspect of me. I think being trans is really cool!"

JK Rowling points out the obvious truth about trans rapists — and the left trashes her as a transphobe

Famous author J.K. Rowling is under fire from transgender activists and Twitter leftists again — this time for simply pointing out an obvious truth about transgender rapists.

What are the details?

The "Harry Potter" creator was hit with swift backlash over the weekend after she responded to news that police in Scotland plan to record individuals accused of rape as the gender by which they self-identify and not their biological sex.

The reported policy means Scottish police will log rapes as carried out by a woman so long as the offender "identifies as a female" — even if the offender has male genitalia.

On Sunday, Rowling pointed out the absurdity of the policy's upside-down logic in a tweet, saying, "War is Peace. Freedom is Slavery. Ignorance is Strength. The Penised Individual Who Raped You Is a Woman," putting her own spin on a famous quote from George Orwell's novel, "1984."

— J.K. Rowling (@J.K. Rowling) 1639332414

Rowling wasn't the only one to criticize the measure as absurd.

"As a lawyer for 20 years and Justice Secretary for almost eight, I’ve seen some legal absurdities," former Holyrood Justice Secretary Kenny MacAskill said, according to the Scottish Sun. "But this tops it all and is dangerous. It’s physically impossible and is about dogma overriding common sense.”

But as a prominent global figure who has been branded an anti-transgender activist, Rowling caught the majority of the flak on social media.

What was the reaction?

Transgender activists blasted the author with online missives, characterizing her once again as a transphobe who can't stop attacking the trans community.

VICE News complained that Rowling "just won't stop attacking trans people online."

"Queer Eye" star Jonathan Van Ness slammed Rowling's tweet as "transphobic cherry picked vitriol," adding, "As trans women are assaulted, deprived of work, killed, and raped JK is safe in her mansion."

The biggest threats of violence against women has always been cis gender men. Not trans women, unless Jk’s constant transphobic cherry picked vitriol convinces you otherwise. New York Times best-selling author Shannon Hale claimed Rowling's comments put transgender women at risk and argued "amplifying bigotry helps no one."

All women should be safe. This includes transgender women, who are far more likely to be a target of assault than a perpetrator. If a woman commits rape, that is still a crime and reprehensible. Calling a woman a woman won't change that. But amplifying bigotry helps no one.

It should be noted that despite the overwhelming vitriol leveled at Rowling, many on social media commended the author for her courage to speak the truth.

Video: Mob of thugs descend upon apparent Chicago bus driver, tackle him to street, repeatedly punch and stomp him

Video circulating on social media shows what appears to be a Chicago Transit Authority bus driver getting swarmed by a mob of thugs, tackled to the street, and repeatedly punched and stomped over the weekend in the popular downtown shopping area known as the Loop.

What are the details?

The clip shows the apparent driver standing outside a bus and facing one individual as a crowd gathers around them. One person is heard telling the driver he'd "better get back on that bus!"

Image source: Twitter video screenshot via @Paulvallas

Suddenly the apparent driver seems to push with his left hand the individual facing him, and that individual appears to move away. Second later screams are heard and a fight breaks out.

The apparent driver has the upper hand at first, grabbing and pushing one male backward for a considerable distance.

At the end of the clip, a police officer appears and seems to be moving toward the attack.

What else do we know?

Chicago police said a 49-year-old CTA bus driver was traveling in the Loop around 9 p.m. Saturday when he heard a loud noise, WFLD-TV reported, after which the driver stopped the bus to inspect it.

While the driver was doing this, police told the station a male and female began to push the driver and then punched the driver multiple times before fleeing.

Police told WFLD the driver's face and body were bruised, and he was taken to a hospital in fair condition. The station's report does not include the video circulating on social media.

A 15-year-old male identified as a suspect in the attack was arrested in the 100 block of North Michigan Avenue and charged with one count of aggravated battery to a transit employee and disorderly conduct, police added to the station.

Fox News said police did not confirm that the video circulating on social media shows the attack on the 49-year-old bus driver. Police instead directed the cable news network to the "initial narrative" that two suspects were involved and added that the department "[does] not have any additional information," Fox News noted.

While the report on the attack from WBBM-TV doesn't include the video circulating on social media, either, it does show what appears to be a bus driver holding a cloth or towel on the side of his face and walking into an ambulance — and the victim looks similar to the apparent driver the mob attacked in the cellphone video.

Anything else?

Police told WGN-TV at least 20 juveniles were taken into custody Saturday night amid violent chaos in the Loop that forced authorities to use crowd control measures. In addition to the attack on the bus driver, a 15-year-old was shot in the arm after bumping into a man, the station said.

The next day Mayor Lori Lightfoot was asked how she plans to curb violence in the Loop moving forward, WGN said.

“We are going to take significant, swift action to quell any issues,” Lightfoot replied, according to the station. “[Saturday night] there were a large number of children that were down at Millennium Park. We followed the protocols that we put in place from the summer of 2020. When it was time for them to leave the park, we made sure they left the park without incident.”

I asked @chicagosmayor about this. Thanks to @CWBChicago for the information.
@MorningAnswer @DanProft https://twitter.com/paulvallas/status/1467556467716808709 …pic.twitter.com/oxcIXOkJAA
