Portland jury sides with Antifa after activists ASSAULTED journalist Andy Ngo
Portland, Oregon, is on fire – literally and metaphorically. It has one of the highest crime rates in America; between 2019 and 2022, violent crime specifically skyrocketed 300%.
And while there are likely a multitude of factors that play into Portland’s rampant crime, one those factors is undoubtedly the city's pathetic justice system.
Yesterday, a Portland jury sided with Antifa members who were caught on camera assaulting conservative journalist Andy Ngo.
“Andy Ngo [is] attempting to find some way to receive justice for the fact that his own First Amendment rights — freedom of the press” were violated, Jack Posobeic of Human Events explains to Glenn Beck.
Back in 2021 at a Portland protest, Ngo was allegedly severely beaten by two Antifa members and other left-wing extremists for doing what? His job – reporting.
But Portland’s joke of a justice system, despite substantial evidence, has ruled against Ngo and allowed violent anarchists to walk away scot-free.
Why?
According to the judge, “Andy had provoked it.”
“That’s justice in Portland,” Posobeic says.
John Hacker and Elizabeth Richter, both of whom are Antifa members, “targeted Andy. … They were giving live updates in real time on Twitter as they were chasing Andy through the streets of Portland,” but apparently that’s not sufficient evidence.
“This is on video – you have them showing up to the hotel” where Andy fled after being beaten, “we have their Tweets, we have their text messages … but the judge later said the jury wasn’t allowed to take a look [them] because they were deemed immaterial,” explains Posobeic.
“This whole argument came down to ‘well, Andy does it too because he posts people’s pictures after they’ve been arrested,” he continues.
“That’s a journalist!” Glenn Beck exclaims in utter disbelief. “Every newspaper has done that forever.”
“After this ruling,” Glenn thinks it’s time to “get the hell out of Portland.”
“If this is going to be tolerated, you’re living in … Nazi Germany,” he says.
