New York Times and Media Matters team up to censor BlazeTV hosts and other conservatives



The New York Times and the leftist outfit Media Matters dropped complementary hit pieces Thursday, accusing BlazeTV hosts Steve Deace, Mark Levin, and Jason Whitlock — along with various other prominent voices in conservative media, including Tucker Carlson, Ben Shapiro, Michael Knowles, and Lara Trump — of "election misinformation."

The apparent aim of this coordinated attack, which the Washington Post did its part to reinforce, is to pressure the Google-owned platform YouTube to demonetize or possibly even deplatform Democrats' ideological opponents before Election Day.

"Being lumped in with those fine fellows, and being labeled an enemy number one from the official Pravda of the regime, is truly the greatest honor of my career," Deace told Blaze News.

'It defines "false claims" and "election misinformation" so broadly.'

Times reporter Nico Grant gave the plot away in advance when asking Tucker Carlson, Ben Shapiro, and Mike Davis of the Article III Project on Monday about their respective memberships in the YouTube Partner Program, their track records of demonetization, and history of notes from YouTube regarding "misinformation."

Grant, whom Carlson told to "f*** off," indicated that Media Matters, a leftist organization founded by Democratic operative David Brock that is presently being sued by Elon Musk for alleged defamation, identified "286 YouTube videos between May and August that contained election misinformation, including narratives that have been debunked or are not supported with credible evidence."

Blaze News previously reached out to the Times and Media Matters for a working definition of "misinformation" but did not receive a response from either outfit. As a result, it remains unclear whether the Times' false or misleading reports about Russian collusion, former Covington Catholic student Nicholas Sandmann, the death of U.S. Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick, and jihadists' missile misfire at a Gazan hospital would qualify.

Journalists Matt Taibbi and Paul D. Thacker wrote Friday on the "Racket News" Substack, "The problem with the Times piece is it defines 'false claims' and 'election misinformation' so broadly that legitimate questions or analyses and even jokes get wrapped in with far-out conspiracy tales."

Media Matters did, however, shine some light on what sort of claims it apparently feels should not be uttered on YouTube, namely: suggestions "that the election process is 'rigged' against Trump, that the legal cases against him constitute 'election interference,' that Democrats want and are enabling noncitizens to vote in order to win the election, and that Kamala Harris was 'illegally installed' as the Democratic nominee in a 'coup' against Joe Biden."

If Media Matters gets its way, then YouTube might penalize critics for highlighting the unmistakable efforts by Democrats to throw Trump in prison before the election and to remove him from the ballot; Democratic lawmakers' publicly stated plans to invalidate a lawful Trump victory; the Biden-Harris Department of Justice's lawsuits aimed at restoring the voter registration of thousands of suspected foreign nationals; or for questioning the nature of Biden's ouster as Democratic candidate and Harris' voteless candidacy.

Media Matters specifically complained that BlazeTV host Mark Levin said in May that Democrats "will do anything for votes — imprison Trump, steal elections," and that Democrats would "change the electoral process" to get more votes.

The Democratic attack dog attacked Levin further for apparently suggesting in July that Democrats "stole the election from their own primary voters and they're going to install somebody who hasn't gotten a single delegate on her own."

Media Matters also set its sights on Deace, complaining:

Right-wing radio host Steve Deace said Democrats would be "dropping ballots" and "bussing people in … to keep the spigot going until they get what they want" on Election Day. Deace continued, "All they’re trying to do is make her credible enough so they can fortify this thing at the end here."

Media Matters was apparently distressed to learn that Deace could exercise his First Amendment rights and suggest on YouTube that Democrats might want to get the polls "within their narrative margin to justify cheating."

The hit piece also noted that BlazeTV host Jason Whitlock accused California of "manipulat[ing] voting."

A YouTube spokeswoman told the Times that the company reviewed eight videos identified by the liberal paper and found that none of them violated its community guidelines. However, that's not what the Times originally reported.

'But what they meant for evil, I will choose to use for good.'

"A YouTube spokeswoman said none of the 286 videos violated its community guidelines," wrote Grant.

The Times has since issued a correction:

An earlier version of this article misstated the number of videos that YouTube reviewed when asked for comment on whether they contained misinformation. YouTubesaid it reviewed eight videos, which were identified by The New York Times and referenced in the article, not all of them, and found that those eight did not violate its community guidelines; it did not comment on whether they contained misinformation.

The YouTube spokeswoman whose response was initially misrepresented by the Times apparently also told Grant, "The ability to openly debate political ideas, even those that are controversial, is an important value — especially in the midst of election season."

Evidently not all are keen on open debate and free speech.

Kayla Gogarty, an LGBT activist who interned at the Human Rights Campaign before becoming "research director" at Media Matters, said, "YouTube is allowing these right-wing accounts and channels to undermine the 2024 results."

Media Matters was not entirely impotent regarding its censorious crusade. The Times indicated that YouTube censored three videos and placed "information labels" that link to supposedly factual information on 21 other videos.

Deace told Blaze News, "The timing of this hit piece is obviously to induce Google, which also owns YouTube and thus the two largest search engines on this planet, to censor those of us who are among the most effective in deconstructing the Left's attempts to deconstruct America right before the election. But what they meant for evil, I will choose to use for good."

Taibbi and Thacker summarized the attack campaign thusly:

A DNC-aligned group produces a "report" documenting a sciencey-sounding quantity of "misinformation" incidents, then passes the scary number to a politically willing mainstream news outlet, which trumpets the new "facts" while publicly and privately pressuring platforms to remove offending material. White House's Orwellian attempt to alter record of Biden's 'garbage' smear might be criminal, say lawmakers



President Joe Biden upheld the long-standing Democratic tradition of belittling Republican voters this week, claiming in a videotaped call Tuesday with Voto Latino that Trump supporters are "garbage."

Keenly aware of how damaging Biden's remarks were to Democrats in general but especially to Kamala Harris, who has recently been juggling Nazi accusations and promises of unity, elements of the liberal media attempted to fudge the record. They were not alone, however.

The White House also tried to gaslight Americans into thinking the president said something else entirely. It turns out that doing so not only resulted in a discrepancy between public and official records but was likely illegal.

Citing two U.S. government officials on an internal email, the Associated Press revealed Thursday evening that the White House press office ultimately released a transcript different from that prepared by official White House stenographers.

According to an internal email from the head of the stenography office, the change was made after the White House press office "conferred with the president."

'The Press Office may choose to withhold the transcript but cannot edit it independently.'

In the email, the supervisor claimed that the press office's revisionism constituted "a breach of protocol and spoliation of transcript integrity between the Stenography and Press Offices."

Here is what the White House transcript claimed that Biden said when complaining about comedian Tony Hinchliffe's Puerto Rico joke at President Donald Trump's Oct. 27 rally at Madison Square Garden:

In my home state of Delaware, they're good, decent, honorable people. The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporter's — his — his demonization of Latinos is unconscionable, and it's un-American.

This is the version posted on the White House website and repeatedly shared online by White House senior deputy press secretary Andrew Bates.

The addition of an apostrophe to "supporters" radically changes the meaning such that in a world where there was no video of Biden's remarks, Democrats could argue, perhaps with greater success than they have this week, that the president was just suggesting Hinchcliffe's supposed demonization of Latinos was unconscionable garbage.

There is, however, video evidence of remarks, where Biden clearly says:

The Puerto Rican that that I know — or Puerto Rico where I'm fr — in my home state of Delaware, they're good, decent, honorable people. The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters. His, his, his demonization of Latinos is unconscionable, and it's un-American.

The Associated Press confirmed that "supporters" in the original transcript prepared by the White House stenographers contained no apostrophe.

"If there is a difference in interpretation, the Press Office may choose to withhold the transcript but cannot edit it independently," the supervisor noted in the internal letter. "Our Stenography Office transcript — released to our distro, which includes the National Archives — is now different than the version edited and released to the public by Press Office staff."

'The move is not only craven, but it also appears to be in violation of federal law.'

The stenography office supervisor reportedly wrote to White House communications director Ben LaBolt, press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, and other Biden officials, "Regardless of urgency, it is essential to our transcripts' authenticity and legitimacy that we adhere to consistent protocol for requesting edits, approval, and release."

The supervisor apparently declined to comment, whereas Bates doubled down, suggesting, "The President confirmed in his tweet on Tuesday evening that he was addressing the hateful rhetoric from the comedian at Trump's Madison Square Garden rally. That was reflected in the transcript."

On Wednesday, House Republican Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) and House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) penned a letter to White House counsel Edward Siskel, demanding that the Biden White House retain and preserve all documents and internal communications pertaining to the release of the doctored transcript.

Stefanik and Comer suggested that by releasing a false transcript, the Biden White House may have violated the Presidential Records Act.

"Americans were rightfully insulted when President Biden, seeking to boost Ms. Harris's presidential campaign, referred to an enormous swath of the country as 'floating ... garbage,'" the Republicans noted in their letter. "President Biden's vindictive words were unsurprising, given his previous statements regarding people who choose not to vote for his preferred candidate. Unsurprising too were the White House's actions after he said them."

"Instead of apologizing or clarifying President Biden's words, the White House instead sought to change them (despite them being recorded on video) by releasing a false transcript of his remarks. The move is not only craven, but it also appears to be in violation of federal law, including the Presidential Records Act of 1978," added the letter.

The lawmakers also demanded that the White House issue "a corrected transcript with the accurate words."

Biden and his allies should by now be accustomed to correcting the record.

The Biden-Harris FBI recently had to change its crime statistics for 2022. Whereas the bureau originally claimed that violent crime fell by 2.1% that year, it actually spiked by at least 4.5%.

Blaze News reported in August that the Biden-Harris Bureau of Labor Statistics came clean about overstating job gains by 818,000 and was forced to revise down the total in its preliminary annual benchmark review.

Woman spills cocaine at elementary school, beats staffer who tries reporting — even strangles victim with his own tie: Police



An Illinois woman was arrested after she reportedly attacked a staff member of an elementary school Wednesday — and baggies of cocaine spilled upon the floor sparked the alleged assault, according to authorities.

Officers with the Rockford Police Department arrested Shakeda Barfield, 33, on Wednesday after accusations that she battered an elementary school employee.

The elementary school visitor reportedly became violent and subsequently attacked, punched, scratched, and bit the victim.

According to WREX, the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office filed the following charges against Barfield: possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, aggravated battery/strangulation, aggravated battery to a school employee, and disorderly conduct.

Police were summoned to the Welsh Elementary School around 9:35 a.m. after a 911 call about a “disruptive visitor” who was battering a staff member, according to WTVO.

The news outlet reported that Barfield was at a morning meeting with a school staff member when baggies of cocaine fell from her clothing to the floor. The elementary school employee noticed the baggies of cocaine before Barfield scooped them up, according to court documents.

The school staff member allegedly attempted to call police to report the illegal drugs, but Barfield reportedly became violent and subsequently attacked, punched, scratched, and bit the victim.

During the physical altercation, Barfield purportedly attempted to strangle the male victim with his own tie, court docs said.

Police said the elementary school employee suffered multiple injuries and was bleeding when officers arrived. Medics arrived at the Welsh Elementary School to tend to the staff member's injuries, which were considered non-life-threatening.

The alleged violent confrontation caused a lockdown at the school. Classes reportedly continued after the lockdown was lifted.

Officers arrested Barfield and took her to the Winnebago County Jail.

'God jammed the gun': Pastor survives apparent assassination attempt mid-sermon



A man strode up Sunday afternoon to the sanctuary of Jesus' Dwelling Place Church in North Braddock, Pennsylvania, where Pastor Glenn Germany was preaching the gospel. Unlike the Islamic terrorist who just weeks ago savagely stabbed an Australian bishop mid-sermon, the man who approached Germany was armed with a handgun.

Although the gunman allegedly left a corpse at home, he would not leave another before the Christian church's altar.

"I started to begin to preach, and all of a sudden, from my left-hand side, I saw him move from the back to the front of the church, and he set up in the front corner of the church and smiled at me," Germany told WTAE-TV. "All of a sudden, I just saw a gun pointing right at me. And at that point, all I could try to do is run for cover."

Footage of the incident shows the gunman, identified by police as 26-year-old Bernard Junior Polite, take aim at the pastor, then allegedly attempt to pull the trigger. Pennsylvania State Police indicated the firearm "failed to discharge."

"I'm thankful to God that I'm still here, because he definitely pulled the trigger," said Germany.

The pastor told WPXI-TV, "You heard him shoot it. God jammed the gun so the bullet didn't come out."

The gunman's trigger pull was met with neither a thunderclap nor a gunshot, but rather the heroic charge of the church's deacon, Clarence McCallister.

As McCallister closes in on Polite from the rear, the video shows the would-be shooter attempt to get a clear view of Germany, who leaped behind a podium for cover. However, before the gunman can line up a shot, McCallister tackles him, gripping him tightly until Germany can wrest the gun out of his control.

Pastor Germany indicated that the deacon who ran to his defense "could have lost his life in that struggle."

"He sacrificed himself for everyone, and he's the hero," added Germany.

McCallister told KDKA-TV, "There's something that needs to be done, and I jumped up and handled my business."

The pastor reportedly spoke to Polite before police carted him away and accepted his apology.

"This guy was just dealing with spirits, he said, and he came in and wanted to shoot somebody," Germany told KDKA. "He said you ducked a taco today, that's what he told me, and I guess that's slang for you ducked a bullet."

According to the charging document, Polite told police he tried to gun down the pastor because "Gold told him to do it" and he wanted jail time to clear his mind, reported WTAE.

Polite stands a good chance of landing plenty of time to clear his mind, as he was charged with multiple offenses including aggravated assault and attempted homicide. Polite has been denied bail. His potential role in the death of Derrek Polite remains unclear.

KDKA reported that the Eastern Regional Mon Valley Police Department received a call about a shooting around 8 p.m. Sunday and discovered the body of 56-year-old Derrek Polite in a home along Stokes Avenue in North Braddock. One nearby resident reported hearing a gunshot earlier in the day.

Neighbors told WTAE that there had not previously been any problems with Bernard and the victim, both of whom were described as nice.

"Nothing bad has ever happened in that home. There were no domestic violence, no fights, no argument that we know of that we could ever have heard," said neighbor, Guy Diperna.

Benjamin Jordan, another neighbor, said, "I just hope it ain't Bernard, that's all, because he was a nice guy, and so was Derrek."

While Germany could easily have ended up like Derrek Polite, he appeared more impacted by the fact that his 14-year-old daughter had to witness the incident.

"The thing that hurts me the most and brings tears to my eyes because I couldn't watch my daughter break down," the pastor told KDKA. "I still had to be strong, because I had to be strong for her, but I couldn't take it, and just seeing her, that's the part that's hard for me to digest."

Jesus' Dwelling Place Church noted in a statement on Facebook, "We are so thankful and grateful to God for keeping His hands over each and everyone of us there."

"Pastor Glenn is doing fine and he says he is doing great and Blessed to be alive!" said the statement. "He sends his love to everyone and he thanks you all for your prayers and concerns! On behalf of Jesus’ Dwelling Place Church we want to thank you all for continuous prayers and the love that is being extended! We are deeply appreciated and we truly give all the Praise, Glory, and Honor to God!"

Alex Stein goes camping with pro-Palestinian protesters



Alex Stein had one goal as he ventured onto the campus of Sacramento State: find and join a pro-Palestinian protest encampment.

While the protesters ended up being less than thrilled to see his friendly face and were not very good at sharing their tents, he did have some interesting interactions, to say the least.

As Stein ventured through the encampments, he found himself face to face with many students who identify as transgender or nonbinary.

“Don’t you think it’s kind of weird being a trans person protesting for Palestine? Doesn’t it seem hypocritical?” He asked one student who was wearing a mask. “I’m not even hating. I’m celebrating your transgenderism, but don’t you think that’s kind of weird that they would probably treat you very poorly?”

While the protester gave no comment, another protester, also wearing a mask, showed Stein his middle finger as the Palestinian flag billowed across him in the wind.

While Stein continued to ask how the protesters felt about the treatment of gays in Palestine, they continued to stand strong, masked and silent. However, when Stein went to leave this particular group, they began following him in silence.

“Everybody’s just mute,” Stein observes. “I’m happy they’re all following me.”

There were a few students from outside the protest who did have something to say.

“I’m scared of freedom of speech now. I’m scared to say something and then next thing you know I’m going to get kicked out of the school,” one student tells Stein.

“What do you think about the gay people that are trying to protest for Palestine?” Stein asks him.

“I think we should care about America first,” he answers.

Parents sound off after transvestite student with 'hit list' allegedly bashed open Pennsylvania girl's head



A teen transvestite with an apparent history of violence will likely face several charges over a savage, unprovoked attack that sent a 12-year-old girl to the hospital with head trauma Wednesday in North Wales, Pennsylvania.

The attack, which was caught on video, took place at 1:20 p.m. in the cafeteria at Pennbrook Middle School.

According to Upper Gwynedd Police Chief David Duffy, video of the incident in Montgomery County "depicts a sudden, violent, unprovoked assault with the assailant coming from behind the victim," reported WPVI-TV.

The video apparently shows the attacker brutally hammer the victim over the head with a Stanley cup, then smash her face repeatedly against the table. A security guard reportedly had to pry the attacker off his bloodied victim, who was subsequently shielded by a teacher.

Duffy told North Penn Now that the 12-year-old victim required staples to close her head wound and was placed in a concussion protocol.

Police have indicated the teen will likely face numerous charges including felony 1 aggravated assault.

Pennbrook principal Nick Taylor informed parents in an email that "school security and school staff were on hand and quickly responded, and are to be commended for their swift actions." Taylor noted further that police and medical responders were quickly dispatched to the scene.

On Thursday, concerned parents and community members packed a North Penn School District meeting, demanding answers and questioning the narrative that has been seeded to the media. The district appeared keen to dodge parents' questions about the incident.

"This was avoidable, and the district truly failed to protect the students at Pennbrook," said one parent. "What are we supposed to say to our children after this? How do I send him back to school?"

Another parent indicated that there were clear signs school administrators understood in advance the threat posed by the alleged attacker, granted they apparently escorted him around the premises over safety concerns.

"It's unreal. It don't make sense. And it will make sense later because somebody had to let this child come to the school ... knowing their background, knowing everything about this child," said a dad whose child was supposedly on the attacker's "hit list."

A young student named Emily testified at the NPSD meeting that she and others warned school employees that the transvestite student was planning an attack.

"Wednesday morning, I went to the guidance counselor and told her, since I was second on the hit list, knowing that there was something going to happen," said Emily, "because there was a girl she was targeting every day at lunch. And they would go to the counselor and tell them every day that this is going to happen."

According to Emily, the school official to whom she had expressed her concerns reassured her that nothing was going to happen. The transvestite student, who apparently referred to himself as "Melanie," was apparently keen to prove the school employee wrong.

Emily indicated that she and two others warned school officials on the day of the attack that they anticipated something bad was going to happen. Afterward, Emily said she was told, "'Watch your back. He is going to come for you and this other girl at lunch.'"

Emily was in the cafeteria just feet away from the attack when it occurred.

"I just hear all this screaming and everybody running, and I see Mel running in after somebody," Emily recalled. "This girl who got attacked didn't see it [coming] because she was faced backwards, and all of sudden you just hear these terrible, like, loud bangs of the Stanley bouncing off her head. And then you see Mel grabbing her hair and hitting her against the table and just repeatedly hitting her with the Stanley."

"There was blood going everywhere," said Emily, noting she was at a neighboring table. "All you see is blood everywhere. ... We had to sit in there and watch them clean up the blood off those tables and ground, and we had to watch them take her out with blood dripping down her face."

Stephanie Palovcak, a parent who spoke at the meeting and had received a distressed call from her daughter amid the chaos Wednesday, took issue with principal Taylor's suggestion that the incident had been a fight. "This isn't a fight," said the mother. "This is an assault."

Palovcak also emphasized that the school had failed to act on repeated warnings from students and parents alike.

"There were multiple parents who reached out about this child making threats," said Palovcak, referencing the hit list.

Some parents indicated that the alleged attacker had been expelled from another district middle school over violence and inappropriate behavior. However, North Penn superintendent Todd Bauer claimed the assertion the student was expelled from another NPSD middle school for violent in-school behavior and transferred was false.

Stefan Ross, another parent, indicated his son went to the transvestite's previous school and was left with the distinct impression the transvestite had violent tendencies. Ross noted an incident off school grounds where "the person came out from the trees and brandished a knife on my son and his friend."

Parents indicated that the alleged attacker's first day at the school was Monday.

Some community members expressed outrage that in the wake of the attack, media reports neglected to mention the attacker was a biological male.

"How come none of the articles said it was a boy attacking a girl? How come half the people kept switching between 'he' and 'she,'" said one impassioned father. "I've got nothing against any type of community, but what is right is right and what is fair is fair, and that's not cool. If this kid was protected simply because they were trans and not because of any other reason, that's not cool. They have a violent past."
