Beauty salon owner rips Trump supporters as 'hateful' and 'misogynistic.' Now she says her clients are 'dropping like flies.'

A beauty salon owner blasted supporters of President-elect Donald Trump as "hateful" and "misogynistic," and now she's saying her clients are "dropping like flies."

Seems the hubbub, according to the New York Post, stems from a now-viral TikTok video from Tiffney Prickett, owner-operator of Voiage Salon in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

'I knew she was a Republican, which I don’t have a problem with you being a Republican. I have a problem with you wanting to strip human rights away from people. I will stand up for human rights and suffer those consequences.'

“Trump basically gave small men the ability and the courage to be misogynistic and hateful and say s**t like ‘your body, my choice’ and ‘you won’t have a choice’ and ‘you will bear my child whether you like it or not,’” Prickett said in the video, according to the Post.

“The comments are so gross. The things men say to women are so gross. And I don’t know why more men don’t come to the defense of women. I don’t know why men witness aggression towards women and stand idly by and do nothing. I don’t understand,” Prickett added, according to the paper.

The 40-year-old divorced mother of three also declared that men usually “shrug [it] off” when another man is mistreating a woman, the Post said.

“I don’t understand why more men don’t have the courage to stick up to [sic] these small men who think they can do whatever they want and say whatever they want to women. And I’m just f***ing sick of it,” she said, according to the paper.

It's unclear why a business owner in a red state like Idaho took it upon herself to rip Trump supporters, but as you might expect, the backlash was brutal.

In a subsequent video, Prickett had the following to say, according to the Post: “So this is me suffering the consequences of my own action. I just had a client send her husband into my salon and demand a refund for gift cards — pre-purchased — because of my stance that if you support a racist, homophobic, misogynist rapist, and you’re OK with those things because you supported them that you are in fact those things. And she was so offended by that, he said she did not feel comfortable coming to my salon anymore.”

The paper said she added that "I didn’t want to deal with them anyway because I knew that that whole family were Trump supporters because I’ve been doing her for 15 years, I’ve been to her family functions and family events. She’s given me gifts over the years. She was a very good client."

Prickett also said, “I knew she was a Republican, which I don’t have a problem with you being a Republican. I have a problem with you wanting to strip human rights away from people. I will stand up for human rights and suffer those consequences," according to the Post.

Pushing back against commenters who said she was “wrong” and would “lose her business," the paper said Prickett shot back that "if I lose my business because … I posted a video that said if you support a racist, misogynist, homophobic rapist, and you’re OK with it, then you are those things, I guess I lose my business."

The Post reported that another video shows Prickett saying "no" to a detractor who encouraged her to keep an open mind and engage in political dialogue across party lines. The paper said her reason is because the difference between Trump supporters and her is about "morals" rather than “opinion."

In another video from last week, the Post said Prickett shared that she lost even more Trump-supporting clients, adding that "they’re dropping like flies.”

The paper also noted that Prickett said she'd “rather go work at Chipotle” than allow Trump supporters to “feel comfortable” in her salon.

The Post noted that since her video takes went viral, the website for Prickett’s Voiage Salon "no longer appears to be active."

Leftists losing their minds that 'Mary' movie about Jesus' mother — who was from Israel — stars woman who's from Israel

November has not been a happy month for leftists.

Donald Trump was re-elected president a few weeks ago, resulting in left-wingers shedding actual tears and engaging in ill-advised freak-outs. Republican U.S. Rep. Nancy Mace of South Carolina introduced legislation declaring that biological men shouldn't be allowed to use women's restrooms on Capitol Hill, punctuated with a "Period. Full stop. End of story." Which, of course, raised the ire of transgender-affirming lawmakers.

'Jesus, Mary, and everyone in this show should be Palestinian.'

Now leftists have something outside of Washington, D.C., to complain about.

See, it concerns a Netflix movie releasing Dec. 6 all about Mary, the mother of Christ. The trailer description reads, "In this coming-of-age religious epic, Mary is shunned following a miraculous conception and forced into hiding. When King Herod ignites a murderous pursuit for her newborn baby Jesus, Mary and Joseph flee to save his life."

Pretty non-controversial so far, right? Not so fast.

Turns out leftists have gotten word that the actress who portrays Mary, Noa Cohen, is from Israel — and leftists are losing their precious minds over it.

Some examples from X:

  • "Jesus, Mary, and everyone in this show should be Palestinian," one observer wrote.
  • "Palestinians aren’t available for the role?" another user wondered.
  • "A movie set in a time when Palestine was occupied played by the people who are colonizing Palestine now is beyond disgusting," another commenter declared.
  • "Easy to boycott as zionist Israeli[s] are in it," another user said.
  • "If they wanted authenticity they would have picked a Palestinian actress to play her given that all available genetic evidence suggests that modern [Palestinians] are the direct descendants of the inhabitants of the region at the time," another commenter noted.
  • "War criminal settlers are the main actors," another user stated. "My family will be boycotting this film @netflix."
  • "First Netflix taking all Palestinian content down and now they stream a movie about Mary with an all-Israeli cast whilst those same people are bombing the birthplace of Christ?" another commenter noted, while adding an accompanying video. "Boycott that s**t."
  • "The casting of an Israeli actress to play Mary, the mother of Jesus, is not just a casting choice—it's a clear political statement that trivializes sacred beliefs," another user exclaimed.

Other X commenters complained about what they characterized as the pale complexions of some "Mary" actors.

Director D.J. Caruso noted the following to EW last month in regard to the casting decisions: "When we started on this project, I immediately initiated a search for Mary. It was important to us that Mary, along with most of our primary cast, be selected from Israel to ensure authenticity."

You can view the "Mary" trailer here.

NYT roasted for absurd take after SCOTUS rules Virginia can purge noncitizens from voting rolls: 'Very rare'

The New York Times on Wednesday issued a rather jaw-dropping X post after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that Virginia can purge noncitizens from its voter rolls.

The Times' post noted that the high court was "siding with Republicans who said it was to prevent noncitizens from voting."

'NYT simps for "only a little bit of illegal voting."'

Then came the post's last sentence: "Studies show that noncitizens voting is very rare."

It would appear those final eight words raised the ire — and eyebrows — of more than a few observers.

You know, on the level of that infamous video of a burning building amid a nighttime riot in Kenosha, Wisconsin, during the summer of 2020 as CNN's video caption read, "Fiery but mostly peaceful protests after police shooting."

Or when ABC News anchor Martha Raddatz earlier this month downplayed the crisis of Venezuelan gangs in Colorado by insisting to Republican vice presidential nominee JD Vance that gang takeovers in Aurora have been "limited to a handful of apartment complexes ... a handful of problems."

So according to the Times, is it OK to keep noncitizens on voting rolls ... because they rarely vote anyway?

How are commenters reacting?

As you might expect, many commenters took exception to the "paper of record." Here are a few examples:

  • "Rare doesn't make it legal," one commenter stated.
  • "'Studies show.' Glad you can at least acknowledge that the number is not zero," another user noted. "Just an FYI, these people in this case self-identified as non-citizens. They cannot legally vote anyway. So removing them shouldn't be an issue."
  • "It doesn’t matter what your studies show," another commenter wrote. "There is no reason for non-citizens to be on any voting roll."
  • "How about just remove any chance of it at all?" another user asked. "NYT simps for 'only a little bit of illegal voting.'"
  • "Rare? Since when is rare acceptable? Have you not noticed what's going on at the Washington Post?" another commenter inquired. "Your 15 minutes of bubble liberal politics have come to an end."
  • "This is why you are trash," another user declared.
  • "Studies show that a particular crime is rare. Accordingly, laws against it should not be enacted nor enforced," another commenter wondered incredulously. "Is that how this works now?"

Left-wing editor cries 'Christian nationalism' after flight attendant wishes her 'blessed' night — and backlash is brutal

A left-wing editor said it was evidence of "creeping Christian nationalism" after a flight attendant wished her a "blessed" night — and commenters on X reacted to the journalist's complaint with a barrage of scorn.

Mother Jones editor in chief Clara Jeffery wrote on X, "Creeping Christian nationalism alert: @AlaskaAir flight attendant just wished us a 'blessed' night as we landed in SFO (!) to groans. Other adjectives that would have sufficed: great, awesome, fabulous, amazing, fantastic… As my rowmate said, 'this ain’t Montgomery, sweetie,'" according to various media outlets.

'You have issues greater than a flight attendant’s well wishes.'

It appears Jeffery deleted her controversial X post, which reportedly went live Friday night after her arrival in San Francisco — but plenty of notable observers read it and didn't like it one bit.

Kamala Harris fundraiser Armand Domalewski replied to Jeffery: "Respectfully, I’m a pretty left leaning guy, and I wish folks a blessed day fairly often. It’s just a nice thing to say."

Jeffery shot back: "Eh. It’s a matter of respect for the audience before you. Respecting their space and norms and wishes. Dominant cultures always feel they have a right to enforce their norms and intents. And…way off @AlaskaAir’s brand."

With that, Domalewski smartly retorted, "As a practicing Catholic I don’t feel like being publicly Christian is really the dominant culture here in SF lol."

Others reacted similarly:

Others pointed out that Jeffery herself has used the term "bless" in the past.

Jeffery so far hasn't deleted a pushback post apparently against the derision her "creeping Christian nationalism" statement elicited; not surprisingly, she specifically notes those of the right-wing persuasion:

— (@)

"The thing about being dragged by rw 'alphas' is that they are all so so so dumb," she said.

But Jeffery promptly got dragged yet again as her apparent pushback post has been massively ratioed as of Monday morning with just over 200 likes and nearly 1,000 comments. Here are some of them:

  • "I hate to break it to you sweetie pie, but relatively few of those dragging you are [right wing]. So far it has been mostly [left wing] and centrists and really every tribe on the planet," one commenter observed. "Could be the real [right-wing] 'alphas' think the wicked witch of Mother Jones is just beneath them. Bless your heart."
  • "Looks like you're being dragged by just about everyone, have a blessed day!" another declared.
  • "Maybe log off for a couple years," another suggested.
  • "Have a blessed day," one commenter said.
  • "Clinical psychopaths are quite good at portraying themselves as victims," another noted. "Maybe you should look into that, psycho."
  • "Have you thought that maybe YOU’RE the problem? I mean, look at the comments," another wrote. "Maybe some self reflection would be a good thing for you."

VA Axes Secret Plan To Hide Iconic V-J Day Photo Over Lack Of ‘Inclusivity’

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) abandoned plans Tuesday to remove an iconic World War II-era photo from its facilities due to an alleged lack of “inclusivity.” The move came following backlash that emerged immediately after the decision was leaked earlier that day. In a memo issued last Thursday, VA undersecretary RimaAnn Nelson requested agency […]

Leftists argue 'rest in power' for black people only after it's used for white airman who set himself on fire. Backlash is brutal.

When active-duty U.S. Air Force member Aaron Bushnell, 25, died after setting himself on fire outside the Israeli Embassy in Washington, D.C., while hollering "free Palestine!" woke social media users flooded the X platform with tributes to Bushnell punctuated with the phrase "rest in power" as opposed to the traditional "rest in peace."

For example, Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein posted the following message, which has received well over 1 million views since Monday: "Rest in power Aaron Bushnell. 'I will no longer be complicit in genocide. Free Palestine!' May his sacrifice deepen our commitment to stop genocide now."

Uh-oh

Well, it appear that leftists of a more rabid nature aren't too happy with the likes of Stein, and they're demanding that the phrase "rest in power" be reserved for black people only.

The following X user created a video showing a whole bunch of social media posts from annoyed wokesters explaining the unwritten rules surrounding the proper usage of "rest in power." Content warning: Language, potentially disturbing images:

Here comes the backlash

In the wake of the pointed "rest in power" corrections from the militant left, let's just say not everyone is down with being ordered around over their speech. To wit:

Some others:

  • "I will now say #RestInPower every time a white person of notoriety dies," one X user wrote. "Not because it’s important to do so, but because we’ve been told we’re not supposed to by those who attempt to demean us with controlled-speech. I reject their hollow dictates."
  • "Put the kids to bed. Told them all to rest in power," another commenter quipped.
  • "What if someone was electrocuted? Technically wouldn’t they Rest in Power?" another user wondered with tongue fully in cheek.

Gay bar halts Palestinian burlesque dancer's show over her sign 'targeting' Jews — then apologizes after drag backlash

A Philadelphia gay bar banned a Palestinian burlesque dancer from taking the stage because of her sign "targeting" Jews — but following fierce drag community backlash, the bar apologized.

What are the details?

A Dec. 8 show at Tabu Lounge and Sports Bar in the city's so-called Gayborhood advertised Palestinian burlesque dancer Leila Delicious as one of the featured acts, but the bar stopped her performance, which would have used a sign that read, "OUR GENERATION WILL FREE PALESTINE," PhillyVoice reported.

An X post from performer Mew Ikki indicated Tabu had told Delicious that the bar didn't want political commentary or performances about the Israel-Hamas war, the outlet said.

The next day Tabu released a now-deleted statement on social media saying the bar "strongly condemns all forms of hate speech, including the recent display of a sign promoting genocide against Jews," PhillyVoice said, adding that the bar said an image of Delicious' sign making the rounds lacked "full context" since it showed only showed one side — and that the other side "contains text targeting the Jewish community."

The text on the other side of the sign read, "BIDEN, DEMAND A CEASEFIRE / IF YOU SUPPORT GENOCIDE, You ISREAL DUMB!"

— (@)

What happened next?

PhillyVoice said many in the city's drag and burlesque community blasted Tabu on social media, challenged the bar's claim that the other side of the sign was anti-Semitic, and rose up in solidarity with Delicious, saying they wouldn't perform at Tabu or attend shows there.

With that, Tabu deleted its original statement condemning Delicious and posted a longer statement Sunday afternoon, the outlet reported: "While our initial decision to prevent a performer from addressing the Israel-Palestine conflict was made with the intention of fostering a positive environment, we now recognize that it had unintended consequences."

The statement from the bar — which PhillyVoice said didn't immediately respond to requests for comment — added that the original move was meant to ensure "emotional safety" for everyone in the venue and that Tabu "may have misinterpreted the intention" of the sign, which did not promote genocide against Jewish people.

The statement also included an apology to Delicious, who was not directly named in the text, and added that Tabu management will reach out to her for an "open conversation," the outlet noted.

Not enough, apparently

In a follow-up story, PhillyVoice said nearly 70 performers and producers signed a letter expressing solidarity with Delicious and demanding more action from Tabu's ownership.

The outlet said attorney Amer Zahr, who's also president of New Generation for Palestine, shared the letter with PhillyVoice, adding that the letter says Tabu's statement placed Delicious "at considerable physical risk," citing recent anti-Palestinian hate crimes, and lists two demands: a commitment to "freedom of expression and speech" with concrete guidelines on what is allowed and an apology to Delicious that retracts the accusation of "promoting genocide."

“I am simply calling for justice, dignity, and respect. I never thought that calling for an end to genocide would end up in an accusation of genocide against me," Delicious said in a statement included in Zahr's email, the outlet added. "Sadly, the environment we are in seeks to silence Palestinian voices. As a Palestinian, I refuse to be silent."

PhillyVoice said the letter's signees indicated they won't perform or work at Tabu until management meets the letter's demands.

'Your voice WORKS': Liberty Safe RESPONDS to backlash over FBI 'backdoor access'

If you take the DOJ seriously, you might be swayed to think that, as Stu Burguiere puts it, “all insurrections start with Infowars-branded Space Force shirts.”

This is what the DOJ noted 34-year-old Nathan Hughes to be wearing on January 6th, when he allegedly assisted rioters in physical attacks on the police.

Hughes was charged with a felony offense of civil disorder and several misdemeanor offenses related to the protest at the Capitol.

FBI agents arrested Hughes and raided his home in Arkansas, where they found a locked gun safe. They then contacted the company that made his safe to get his access code. Liberty Safe — one of the largest gun safe manufacturers in the country and whose marketing caters to freedom-loving Americans — complied.

The company gave the access code of a private citizen to the FBI because the agency had a basic warrant, and now Liberty Safe faces a similar fate to that of Bud Light.

Glenn Beck isn’t buying any of it.

“The Arkansas Times noted that the FBI was able to identify Hughes on the basis of ‘the distinct notches at the top of his ears,’” Glenn says, adding that this is interesting because agents can’t find the pipe bomber, even though they have his face; can’t find the guy captured in clear photos who was up on the scaffolding; and can’t find the fence cutter.

“Those people all had smooth ears, no notches,” Stu says, deadpan.

The conservative community is outraged, and Liberty Safe is clearly listening — and worried.

In its most recent statement, the company claims it will now give customers the ability to have records of their access codes expunged.

“That should have been done in the first place,” Glenn says.

The backlash was swift after Liberty Safe acknowledged that it has a database of secret access codes for its safes that it would hand over to law enforcement...

Liberty Safe in full damage-control mode over backlash for giving FBI backdoor access to customer's safe — but it's not working

Liberty Safe, the prominent gun safe company, promised Wednesday to give customers more freedom to prevent unwanted obtrusions into their safes.

What is the background?

The company is facing intense backlash after admitting it provided a customer's safe code to the FBI. That customer, an accused Jan. 6 protester, had his safe breached last month after the FBI, with a search warrant in hand, asked Liberty Safe to give the bureau the code to the customer's safe — and the company complied.

Liberty Safe confirmed in a statement that company "protocol is to provide access codes to law enforcement if a warrant grants them access to a property."

Ironically, Liberty Safe claims it is committed "to protecting the personal property and 2nd amendment rights of our customers" and "to preserving our customers' rights, and we will remain unwavering in those values."

What is happening now?

Liberty Safe released a statement late Wednesday announcing a policy change that allows customers to erase their safe codes from Liberty Safe's records.

"Effective immediately, existing customers can visit www.https://www.libertysafe.com/pages/combination-removal and fill out the form to have records of the access codes expunged," the company said in a statement. "In the coming weeks, we will be releasing a feature that gives every new customer this option when registering their safe."

"This change allows customers to take control of how their information is stored and protected," the statement added. "We understand that many of our customers are willing to assume responsibility of safeguarding their own combination. While those who opt out of our data storage process will have limited recourse in case of a lost combination, we respect their choice and are here to support them in the way that's best for them."

Importantly, Liberty Safe is also changing how it cooperates with law enforcement.

Now, instead of providing access codes when presented with a warrant, Liberty Safe "will require a subpoena that legally compels Liberty Safe to supply access codes."

The caveat, the company noted, is that subpoena compliance can only happen if someone's code remains in the company's database.

— (@)

For many customers, however, the policy change is too little, too late.

  • "Seems like an admission that you provided access codes without a subpoena in the past.Sorry. Trust lost forever. You'll never get mine back," one person said.
  • "How can we trust there aren't any more secret access codes, though?" one customer asked.
  • "Well, good on you for making the policy change. But the damage is already done. If the FBI had a warrant for the homeowners' property, it should be the homeowners' responsibility to give the code," another person said.
  • "[W]hy in God's name would you provide the code without a subpoena?Where is the apology?" one person asked.
  • "The last thing I’m doing is visiting your website and giving you MORE of my personal information," one person said.
  • "The problem is you don’t actually stand for liberty. You are doing this because you were called out- Not because of your core values. Bye," another person responded.
  • "Your apology is missing the apology part," one person observed.
  • "Opt out? How about YOU should have ASKED customers if they want to opt in," another person suggested.

Why do liberals ALWAYS try to ruin the Fourth of July?

No matter the occasion, someone will always try to ruin it. Unfortunately, this is especially the case if they’re on the political left and the occasion has anything to do with patriotism.

This time it was the Fourth of July, and one naysayer who wanted to upset all in celebration was the notoriously liberal ice cream brand Ben & Jerry’s.

Ben & Jerry’s took the holiday opportunity to tear down America, despite the financial success that our capitalist system has allowed the company.

The brand wrote in a tweet: “This 4th of July, it’s high time we recognize that the US exists on stolen Indigenous land and commit to returning it.”

Sara Gonzales is less than amused.

“Um, actually it was conquered,” Gonzales responds, “because that’s how things work.”

Pat Gray agrees, adding that every other land has been conquered, “but it’s only us and Israel that ever has to be labeled that way.”

Jaco Booyens is also in agreement.

“We celebrate King Charles. They only colonized, I mean, just about everything,” Booyens says, adding, “but, hey, listen, that quote comes from an ice cream company.”

One Twitter user, Ashley St. Clair, pointed out that Ben & Jerry’s is technically stealing milk from cows for its ice cream.

“What about that? Did they give consent to that?” Gonzales mocks.

While leftist companies and politicians do what they can to ruin the Fourth of July for others, Gonzales and her guests aren’t letting them ruin the true spirit of the Fourth and what it stands for.

“The freedom to be who God’s called you to be, but in unity, in this nation, you become an American. And that’s what sets us apart. There is no other nation on earth that historically has had unity to move as a unit,” Booyens says.

“And all things in the world work better like that. Light focused, become a laser,” he adds.
