'My children are all queer': '50 Shades of Grey' actress Marcia Gay Harden says her parenting inspired her transgender activism

Actress Marcia Gay Harden recently claimed that all her children are "queer" while participating in a online drag queen telethon.

The 63-year-old actress known for her roles in movies such as "The Mist" and the "50 Shades of Grey" series, spoke about her gay and transgender advocacy during the "Drag Isn't Dangerous" online telethon, according to Yahoo News.

"What drives me is because it’s right and what’s happening right now is wrong," Harden said. "What drives me is — my children are all queer. My eldest child is non-binary. My son is gay. My youngest is fluid. And you know, they are my kids and they teach me every day," she continued.

Harden has three children with ex-husband Thaddaeus Scheel, an art director. The adult children are named Eulala, 24, Julitta, 19, and Hudson, 19.

"This is so fear-based, and it’s spreading that kind of fear and hatred among other people. I believe this country will fight that," Harden said of what she described as anti-LGBTQ+ legislation.

"The only thing dangerous about drag is how hot these Queens are," Harden wrote on Instagram. "Join the fundraiser in support of LGTBQ+, which basically means in support of all of us! Our nation, our neighbors, our children, artists, our singers, our dancers, our better leaders, ceo's, writers, spiritual leaders, basically our humanity," Harden claimed.

"Gay is here to stay. Drag is here to stay. Donate what you can, and join us in spreading the love," the post concluded.

The telethon, which has now been set to private on the YouTube channels that broadcasted it, raised over $500,000 with help from sponsorships from the ACLU, Black Queer Town Hall, GLAAD, and many more organizations.

The show included segments from actors such as Jesse Eisenberg and Charlize Theron.

Theron has a transgender child, according to Yahoo News. "My daughter’s story is really her story, and one day, if she chooses, she’ll tell her story," Theron reportedly said in an interview. "I feel like as her mother, for me, it was important to let the world know that I would appreciate it if they would use the right pronouns for her."

Eisenberg called the "demonization of drag culture" both "greatly upsetting and completely shocking."

The actor also said that he idolized one drag queen in particular.

Drag 'makes you a better person': Charlize Theron, Amy Schumer, and Whitney Cummings star in 'Drag Isn't Dangerous' telethon

Numerous actors, musicians, and comedians participated in the "Drag Isn't Dangerous" online telethon, with actress Charlize Theron going so far as to say watching drag queens "makes you a better person."

The telethon, as reported by TimCast, aired Sunday, May 7, 2023 and featured popular performers such as Amy Schumer, Adam Lambert, Melissa McCarthy, Kelly Osbourne, Lance Bass, and Mandy Moore.

Several comedians also appeared on the broadcast, including David Cross, Sarah Silverman, and Whitney Cummings.

Between segments of drag queens appearing to pretend to answer phones were celebrity segments such as a video message from Charlize Theron.

"It's really, in all seriousness, there's so many things hurting and, really, killing our kids, and we all know what I'm talking about. And it ain't no drag queen," Theron began.

"Because if you've ever seen a drag queen lip sync for her life, it only makes you happier, it only makes you love more, it makes you a better person," the South African claimed.

Another segment of the show included a sketch showing a young boy in the dressing room of two drag queens, one of whom is purported to be the boy's uncle. The drag queens hand the boy a book that covers the topics "inclusion, equality, and respect," before his mother bursts into the room to ask him if he would be safer at an "amusement park, conversion therapy, or an NRA convention."

The boy responds, "Personally, I find the art form inspiring."

As the mother persists, one of the drag queens asks, "Look, lady, where do you think this kid is gonna feel safer, a room full of drag queens or a room full of Q-Anon Shaman?"

In another appearance, actor Jesse Eisenberg said, “The recent demonization of drag culture has been greatly upsetting and completely shocking to me.”

Comedian Sarah Silverman claimed “the number-one killer of children is guns, and these NRA pawns deflect it with a completely fabricated problem that puts the drag community in danger. The hypocrisy is astounding.”

The event's GoFundMe page raised over $530,000.

Promotional images stated that the event was sponsored by organizations that include the ACLU, Black Queer Town Hall, GLAAD, and many more.

'Leftists have suddenly realized what a woman is again!' Pro-abortion zealots mocked for transgender crusade that's harmed biological females

Leftists who've been losing their minds over the possibility that the U.S. Supreme Court may overturn Roe v. Wade are getting soundly mocked on social media for suddenly standing up for women after openly minimizing and marginalizing them through transgender advocacy.

What are the details?

The rise of transgenderism — and the lockstep support it has received from leftists — runs into some problems when placed side by side with abortion rights.

First we've seen a number of stories about transgender men — biological women who identify as men — getting pregnant. And since leftists by and large love that pregnancy is apparently no longer the exclusive domain of "women," it would seem they'd need to stop holding signs that demand abortion protections for "women," right?

I'm the Only Pregnant Transgender Male in Texas | Extreme Love youtu.be

After all, they've been saying men can give birth, too — as evidenced by the last year's appearance of a "pregnant man" emoji — along with pushing terms like "birthing people" and "people who menstruate."

Pro-family group pushes back against 'pregnant man' emojihttps://www.foxnews.com/lifestyle/pro-family-group-pushes-back-pregnant-man-emoji …
— Fox News (@Fox News) 1650986700

It culminated with Supreme Court justice-to-be Ketanji Brown Jackson infamously saying during her confirmation hearings in March that she cannot define the word "woman" because she's "not a biologist."

What's more, now that men also can give birth, the decades-old mantra that men aren't allowed to comment on abortion would seem to be wrongheaded as well.

And while not connected to abortion rights, the other huge transgender agenda item dominating the news of late has been the explosion of transgender women — biological men who identify as women — competing against biological female athletes. Incredibly many biological women, without embarrassment, advocated for it, despite such competitions consistently hurting biological female athletes.

Let the mockery commence

Here's a look at the left getting ridiculed following the news about the possible Roe v. Wade overturn. First up is our own BlazeTV host Sara Gonzales:

And just like that, all the leftists have suddenly realized what a woman is again!
— Sara Gonzales (@Sara Gonzales) 1651543538

Matt Walsh of the Daily Wire had his fun, too:

For one news cycle at least women are females again. It’s a miracle.
— Best Selling Biologist Matt Walsh (@Best Selling Biologist Matt Walsh) 1651578872
The transphobia from leftists right now is simply staggering. Overturning Roe is "an attack on women"? It's like you people have never heard of pregnant men all of a sudden. Absolutely appalling. #EndTransphobia
— Best Selling Biologist Matt Walsh (@Best Selling Biologist Matt Walsh) 1651586909

And the hits just kept on coming:

By engaging in sophistry such as “trans-women are women” the blue team has lost all credibility as a protector of women’s rights. In that context, arguments about the indifference of conservatives to the plight of women just sound delusional. #RoeVWade
— Bret Weinstein (@Bret Weinstein) 1651555040

Others saw the left's ridiculousness as well:

 • "Since 'trans women are women,' are they allowed to have an opinion on abortion, or are we still subscribing to the 'no uterus, no opinion' thing? Lolol," one commenter wondered.
 • "It’s hard to hear pro-abortion rebuttals from the same group that won’t defend women’s rights from the trans lobby and from the same group that say[s] 'men can be pregnant,'" another user offered. "All credibility and rationality has already be destroyed."
 • "Transactivists have robbed women of the collective term 'women' so we can no longer speak about our rights as a sex class which has been oppressed by men," another commenter declared. "Women now pretending to be 'trans men' have made it so abortion is now a mens' rights issue, and this is the result."
 • "Overturning Roe can't possibly be an attack on women since we cant even identify what a woman is in todays clown world," another user said. "What about all the pregnant men? How do they feel or do we not know what a male is today, either?"

Anything else?

If you want proof that many leftists remain true believers in this stuff, check out the deluge of tweets underscoring that abortion rights are for transgender and non-binary folks as opposed to women only.

Like 'I WILL END COVID'? Twitter mocks Biden's promise to stop pipeline for Russia if it invades Ukraine

President Joe Biden bolstered international confidence on Monday with another of his inspiring speeches, this time promising that "if Germany, uh, if Russia invades" Ukraine, "then there will be no longer a Nord Stream 2. We, we, we will put an end to it."

Asked by a reporter how exactly he would do that "since the project and control of the project is within Germany's control," our commander in chief responded, "I promise you we'll be able to do it," following it up with his signature creepy smile.

Strangely, there were a few people who seemed to doubt the president's promise, or at least his ability to remember making it, and took to Twitter to express their concerns.
