Ma'am in the Mirror: Spinster celebs tout joy of self-love

You don’t spend years trashing former Vice President Dick Cheney and then suddenly embrace the GOP leader.

Well, Kamala Harris and Tim Walz do, but not far-left funnyman Jon Stewart.

The guy they said is unfit to run for president is currently the president. Nobody has any issue with that. Which makes it very obvious that he’s not the president.

During an interview with Walz, the former and current “Daily Show” host had a simple reaction to Cheney’s support for the Democratic ticket:

“No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no!”

When the knucklehead in chief pointed out that they'd also landed the endorsement of a certain mega pop star, Stewart was not consoled.

“What country did Taylor Swift get us to invade?” he asked.

When court jesters have more backbone than your presidential ticket, you know there’s trouble.

Go Wes

Wesley Snipes must be laughing up his sleeve.

The action icon played Marvel’s antihero “Blade” in three films, all before the MCU took over Hollywood in 2008, starting with “Iron Man.” But when Disney decided to revive the vampire slayer, it went to Oscar winner Mahershala Ali to play the lead.

Great choice, but why not Snipes? He’s still fit at 62, and he brought the character back in the summer’s blockbuster “Deadpool & Wolverine.” He hasn’t lost a step.

Maybe the Comic-Con gods have smiled upon Snipes after all. The “Blade” revival has had more delays than days shooting. The project’s director stepped down earlier this year, and an alleged peek at the early script — which six writers have taken a whack at so far — showed it was as woke as a “Captain Marvel” trilogy.

As Blade himself said, "Some mother****ers are always trying to ice-skate uphill."

Now the film has been taken off the 2025 release schedule, with no update in sight. Snipes isn’t getting any younger, but why not hand the story back to him and be done with it?

Doc crock

Liberal Hollywood reporters have their heads in the sand. That’s the kindest explanation for missing too many great stories to count.

Need an example? The far-left Deadline shares a podcast recap on the state of documentaries. One takeaway? Gosh, conservatives just can’t seem to make a decent one.

Really. Really?

  • "What Is a Woman?"
  • "Am I Racist?" (the most successful doc in a decade)
  • "The Fall of Minneapolis"
  • "How Jack Became Black"
  • "What Killed Michael Brown"
  • "Created Equal: Clarence Thomas in His Own Words"

That’s just off the top of this scribe’s head. “Minneapolis” may be the most impactful film I’ve seen in years. Haunting. Powerful. Unforgettable.

It’s bad enough that Hollywood tilts to the left so hard it hurts. Can’t a few honest journalists cover the biz without liberal blinders on?

Biden his time

It must be nice to be a rebel comic like Tim Dillon.

The podcaster tells the jokes others in the mainstream won’t. The reward? Both a Netflix stand-up special and now a new Netflix comedy called “This Is Your Country.” Think the best of "The Jerry Springer Show" ... but intentionally funny.

Now he’s calling out the biggest news scandal of the year. Except no one in the mainstream press will cover it.

Who is our president again?

It’s technically Joe Biden, but we all realized after the June 27 presidential debate that he’s but a figurehead at this point.

So Dillon said as much:

The guy they said is unfit to run for president is currently the president. Nobody has any issue with that. Which makes it very obvious that he’s not the president. Nobody’s worried about his senility in any real sense because he wasn’t removed from the presidency. He’s sitting in the Oval Office supposedly making decisions about America. We’re supposed to believe that.

He's right. Of course. Late-night comics were too busy raising money for Biden’s doomed re-election campaign to joke about it.

Solemates

Celebrities are always one step ahead of us normies. Maybe two.

Consider Britney Spears and Chelsea Handler. While most of us saps are trying to find our soulmates, these two did it in a heartbeat: They looked in the mirror.

Handler recently bragged that she has a great relationship with herself and doesn’t need a man, something that threatens the fellas.

Not to be outdone, Spears shared a wedding picture on her Instagram feed announcing she had married herself.

Can you do a wedding registry for one?

Superstar boxer Ryan Garcia reportedly arrested at swanky Beverly Hills hotel, compares himself to Britney Spears, Donald Trump

Boxing sensation Ryan Garcia has been arrested following an incident at a swanky Beverly Hills hotel, according to multiple reports. The boxing superstar allegedly made several cryptic messages on social media, including comparing himself to singer Britney Spears and former President Donald Trump.

Police were reportedly called on Saturday after Garcia reportedly caused extensive damage at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. A Beverly Hills Police Department watch commander told ESPN that the luxurious hotel accused Garcia of causing an estimated $15,000 in damages. In California, vandalism causing damage over $400 qualifies as a felony.

Garcia, 25, was arrested shortly before 5:45 p.m., Beverly Hills Police Department officials told KCAL-TV.

TMZ reported that the star boxer was seemingly under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, but complied with law enforcement. The outlet published a video of the arrest of the talented fighter.

Police said Garcia complained of a medical issue and was transferred to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Garcia was reportedly booked on suspicion of felony vandalism and has since been released.

Garcia recently claimed that his mother, Lisa Garcia, had been diagnosed with breast cancer and appeared to hint that he would commit suicide if she died.

Garcia's attorney, Darin Chavez, told ESPN that Garcia's arrest comes at "an extraordinarily challenging time for Ryan, as he has been grappling with devastating news regarding his mother's health."

"Ryan has been open about his struggles with mental health over the years, and at this time he is dealing with an immense emotional burden," Chavez said in the statement. "The support and understanding from fans and the public are crucial as he navigates these personal challenges. We are working diligently to provide Ryan with the resources he needs. Our team is committed to ensuring that he receives the appropriate help and care to address both his immediate and long-term well-being. We ask for continued support and compassion as Ryan focuses on his family and his health at this time."

Following his arrest, Garcia's social media accounts have presented unusual posts, including tweets about pedophiles and comparisons to Spears and Trump.

On Sunday, Garcia's alleged X social media page noted that he was "worried" and he is being held at a "weird hospital and they are trying to give me medicine and they have me on a hold for who knows how long, they will determine."

He asked his more than 1 million followers to "pray" for him and that "God help" him.

Garcia added, "Prayer warriors, please I need prayers. A lot of prayers. Prayers can move mountains. LORD JESUS SAVE ME."

The boxer wrote, "Kinda funny both Trump and I are in jail. I don’t know if he is in jail but I know he got convicted. This sucks, but I love Jesus I will be okay."

In his most recent tweet, he said he feels like Britney Spears and that he "never hurt anyone."

Garcia tweeted, "And try to make a change in this cruel world. I love you Christ Jesus. Amen."

In March, Garcia's social media account seemed to imply that he was deceased.

Garcia boasts a 25-1 record in his professional boxing career and was the World Boxing Council's interim lightweight champion in 2021.

Like Britney Spears, Many Women Feel Pressured Into Abortions They Do Not Want

'If it had been left up to me alone, I never would have done it,' Spears writes in her new memoir.

Britney Spears Says Abortion Was Among The ‘Most Agonizing’ Experiences Of Her Life

'To this day, it's one of the most agonizing things I have ever experienced in my life,' Spears said of the abortion she was pressured into.

Britney Spears posts VERY STRANGE video, leaving many wondering if it was wise to free her

Pop icon Britney Spears is just as famous for her music as she is for her ever-prominent presence in the tabloids.

Back in 2020, Spears was finally freed from the controlling conservatorship her father wielded over her, but since her liberation, she’s been doing some rather bizarre things.

And when we say bizarre, we mean even more bizarre than her typical doings.

Sara Gonzales plays a recent clip of Spears, who’s wearing very little clothing (nothing new there), while dancing with large kitchen knives.

The video sparked serious criticism and raised questions regarding the decision to end her conservatorship.

Apparently, “Shakira danced with knives during a concert,” which is where Spears allegedly drew inspiration.

“Her excuse was like, 'I was just trying to do what Shakira did, I was just kind of emulating her, they're not real knives, Halloween is soon, [so] don't worry about it,'" reports Sara.

“But everyone is now up in arms like, ‘Oh my God, we did the wrong thing by trying to convince a judge to release her conservatorship,”’ she mocks.

“I still disagree. … You have the right to be a crazy person in this country.”

“If she wasn't famous, nobody would give her a conservatorship based off of what I've seen,” Sara continues.

Blaze Media editor in chief Matt Peterson admits that he might be “old man-ing this,” but he can’t understand why anyone would care about “Britney Spears doing a knife dance at her mansion” considering all of the other madness on the internet.

“Have you seen the internet? Have you been on the internet? There's a lot of other things wrong with it, too,” he says.

However, “I think that Taylor Swift should get a conservatorship to stay the heck away from the NFL and its football players,” he jokes.

TMZ, on the other hand, finds Britney’s “fascination with knives” a cause for serious concern. A previous report by the tabloid revealed that Spears is apparently paranoid that someone will hurt her, which is why she “keeps [knives] all around the house.”

But that’s not convincing enough for Matt.

“Were some of the people in the riot videos, did any of them have knives?” he asks. “I think I see a lot of people who need conservatorships … roaming around the country.”

Touché.

'All we can do is keep praying': Britney Spears' father gives first interview in a decade, believes controversial conservatorship may have kept pop star alive

Jamie Spears, the father of Britney Spears, gave his first interview in more than a decade. In the rare interview, the father of the pop music star weighed in on his daughter's conservatorship and the #FreeBritney movement.

The elder Spears told the Daily Mail, "Not everybody's going to agree with me. It's been one hell of a time. But I love my daughter with all my heart and soul. Where would Britney be right now without that conservatorship? And I don't know if she'd be alive."

On Jan. 3, 2008, Spears was transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after she refused to turn over her two sons to her ex-husband Kevin Federline. Police believe that Spears was under the influence of an unidentified substance.

Spears was then involuntarily committed to the psychiatric ward of Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center for treatment and evaluation during a 72-hour emergency hold, known as a 5150.

Spears was placed under a conservatorship for 13 years – which gave her father complete control of her assets.

Spears' father claimed that the iconic pop star was "broke" at the time despite being one of the most successful entertainers of all-time.

"She had no money whatsoever," the 70-year-old Spears said. "The conservatorship set a resource where she could get back financially. And, you know, we worked — and she worked — and she got herself straight up financially. ... The conservatorship allowed the finances to be better."

"My understanding of a conservatorship is to help someone regain their life and return back to society, and to be able to live normally," he explained. "I want to say that I made a difference. There were a few people behind me that really helped bring it to a point where we could help her."

Speaking of criticisms of him through the #FreeBritney movement by her massive fanbase, Spears said, "All I can say is that most people don't have a clue what the truth is. Her lawyer doesn't have a clue what the truth is. The media has not heard the truth. They've heard the allegations from Britney."

He added, "I don't mind taking that beating because I know it's not true, and because I don't want to start something else. For my daughter to end up going further down the hole than she had been."

Federline got custody of their two children during the drama. Spears is still estranged from her two teenage sons as well as her father.

"For protecting her, and also protecting the kids, conservatorship was a great tool," Spears told interviewer Daphne Barak. "Without it, I don’t think she would have got the kids back."

Spears misses his grandsons, but is keeping the faith that the family can be reunited.

"I miss my two boys really, really bad," he said. "I do. You know, we were very, very close. They were around that age where you could start having a good time with them. But they were developing a mind of their own. God makes things happen for a reason. I don't know what that reason is but it's been a tough three years without them. The family's a mess. All we can do is keep praying."

Britney Spears shares tragic news of miscarried 'miracle baby' on Instagram

Britney Spears announced that she lost the “miracle baby” that she was pregnant with.

The 40-year-old pop star and cultural icon shared the news on her Instagram page on Saturday, Fox News reported.

In a joint statement with her fiancé Sam Asghari, Spears wrote, “It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that we have lost our miracle baby early in the pregnancy. This is a devastating time for any parent. Perhaps we should have waited to announce until we were further along however we were overly excited to share the good news.”

The post continued, “Our love for each other is our strength. We will continue trying to expand our beautiful family. We are grateful for all of your support. We kindly ask for privacy during this difficult time.”

In mid-April, Spears announced via Instagram that she was pregnant by posting a picture of a pink teacup surrounded by flowers.

The post’s caption jokingly bemoaned the ironic loss of weight for vacation only to regain it in the coming months.

Spears wrote, “I lost so much weight to go on my Maui trip only to gain it back. I thought ‘Geez … what happened to my stomach ???’ My husband said ‘No you’re food pregnant silly.’”

In the post’s caption, Spears said, “I obviously won’t be going out as much due to the [paparazzi] getting their money shot of me like they unfortunately already have … it’s hard because when I was pregnant I had perinatal depression … I have to say it’s absolutely horrible.”

She continued, “Women didn’t talk about it back then … some people considered it dangerous if a woman complained like that with a baby inside her … but now women talk about it everyday … thank Jesus we don’t have to keep that pain a reserved proper secret.”

Spears currently has two sons, aged 16 and 15, with her ex-husband Kevin Federline.

In the past, the pop star has mentioned that she is open to having more children. In November 2021, she shared that she was “thinking about having another baby” and suggested that she hoped it might be a girl.

During the 2021 legal battle to dissolve Spears’ conservatorship, it was revealed that she had an IUD put in place and her conservators would not let her “go to the doctor and take it out.”

Spears’ conservatorship was terminated in November.
