Bone-chilling video shows Florida man 'intentionally ambush' deputies by mowing cops down with car

An unsettling video shows the moment that a Florida man mowed down two deputies in an alleged "ambush" attack, according to police. The cops were critically injured, and one officer may need to have his leg amputated.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office stated that officers responded to a 911 call from a mother who said she was in fear of her son being violent. The mother allegedly told police that her son, Ralph Bouzy, was suffering from a mental health crisis.

Shortly before 8 a.m. on Thursday, officers arrived at the residence in Brandon, Florida. Deputies encountered Bouzy in the driver's seat of a car in the driveway of his home, according to a news release from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. Officers reportedly assured the 28-year-old Florida man that they were there to help. However, Bouzy refused to speak to the police and quickly drove away.

Bouzy drove back to the scene just minutes later in a Nissan Altima. Two deputies were standing beside a police SUV, and video shows Bouzy barrel into the deputies – pinning them to the patrol vehicle.

As the deputies were strewn on the pavement after suffering excruciating injuries, Bouzy calmly got out of his vehicle and walked toward another officer who was not hit by the vehicle. Police bodycam video shows Bouzy refusing to adhere to commands from the officers.

Police bodycam footage shows a deputy deploy a Taser on Bouzy, which causes him to fall to the pavement. Another officer apprehended the suspect while he was on the ground.

Bouzy was arrested and charged with three counts of attempted murder on a law enforcement officer.

Law enforcement noted that Bouzy has an extensive criminal history, with three felonies and 14 misdemeanors. In 2017, Bouzy was involved in a hit-and-run in which he punched a deputy in the face, according to WFLA.

"There is no other way to describe this other than an ambush," said Sheriff Chad Chronister. "Our deputies put their lives on the line every day to protect this community and what happened today makes me absolutely sick."

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said that he and his wife, Casey, are "praying for the deputies who were seriously injured during this ambush in Brandon."

"We don’t tolerate attacks on our law enforcement officers in Florida," DeSantis declared. "The coward who brutally attacked these deputies will be punished."

Corporal Carlos Brito, 39, and Deputy Manuel Santos, 31, suffered critical injuries and are receiving medical treatment at Tampa General Hospital.

Santos has a bilateral break in his leg with extensive ligament damage that will require surgery.

Brito’s injuries are so severe that his leg might have to be amputated. Brito's leg was crushed in between the two vehicles to the point that a piece of his femur bone was stuck in the car. A surgeon requested that the bone be dislodged from the vehicle and brought to the hospital to help save his leg.

Chronister said, "Deputy Brito is awake and surrounded by his family. The surgeons are monitoring his progress and continue to do everything possible to save his leg.”

"Corporal Brito and Deputy Santos came to work today committed to making a difference in their community," Chronister added. "Because of this man's deliberate and intentional actions, their lives, and their family's lives are changed forever."

'A lot of blood': Man mows down 10 pedestrians in a stolen car while evading police. New Yorkers made sure he wouldn't get far on foot.

A 20-year-old man driving a stolen SUV mowed down at least 10 pedestrians, including two children, in Midtown Manhattan during rush hour Tuesday, according to police. Upon wrecking his stolen ride, the suspect took off on foot, but New Yorkers ensured he wouldn't get far.

According to the NYPD, the suspect, who does not have a New York State driver's license and was described as "white or Hispanic," was driving a 2018 Hyundai Tucson with Illinois plates that had been reported stolen from the Bronx on July 31.

A license plate reader alerted police to the vehicle's presence at 45th Street and 2nd Avenue around 5:30 p.m.

Officers began following the vehicle while attempting to verify it had in fact been stolen. Having determined the report was accurate, police attempted to pull the vehicle over at 43rd Street and 3rd Avenue amid heavy traffic.

Although the driver initially motioned to comply, he quickly altered course, hit the gas, and attempted to evade the officers, striking a bicyclist, said police.

Patrol Borough Manhattan South Deputy Chief James Kehoe told reporters that officers remained in pursuit, but did so "at a lower rate of speed because of the heavy traffic."

After hitting a yellow taxi, the suspect pulled onto the sidewalk, where he plowed through several pedestrians near Grand Central Station.

"It was crazy, it was horrific," Michael Discioarro, a witness to the mayhem, told the New York Post.

Discioarro indicated one "victim on the ground was seriously injured. A lot of blood."

"Another victim was laid up against the door of a store. She was clearly hurt," said Discioarro. "Her leg was twisted in a way you shouldn’t twist a leg."

The Daily Mail reported that one witness saw a victim go "flying through the air" after being struck.

At a crowded 42nd Avenue intersection, the suspect made a U-turn, hitting additional victims, then sped down Lexington Avenue going the wrong way.

The vehicular component of the chase came to an end when the suspect barreled into a black 2011 Toyota RAV-4.

Although his stolen ride was immobilized, the suspect carried on, making a mad dash through the nearby crowd. However, bystanders intervened, pinning him until police could arrive.

Video obtained by the Post shows multiple Good Samaritans tackling the suspect to the ground, then holding him down while he kicked and flailed.

"When the cops showed up, the guy they took into custody was trying to fight with the cops — trying to push the cops away," said Discioarro.

While police got their man, a female suspect who had been with him managed to get away and remains on the loose, according to authorities.

Kehoe indicated, "Upon initial review of this incident, it does not appear to have any connection to terrorist activity."

Among the 10 victims taken to Bellevue Hospital, all of whom survived with non-life-threatening injuries, were a 6-year-old and a 10-year-old. The eldest victim is 72.

The suspect reportedly is known to police, with several previous arrests including two on gun charges and others for drug crimes.

Georgia woman slams her SUV into Popeyes restaurant because her order was missing biscuits: Police

A Georgia woman slammed her SUV into a Popeyes restaurant because her order was missing biscuits, according to police.

Around 7:45 p.m. on Saturday, a woman ordered food at the Popeyes restaurant in Augusta, Georgia. The woman claimed that her order at the fast food restaurant was missing biscuits. A Popeyes manager informed authorities that the order was corrected and the customer was given biscuits. However, the woman was reportedly "still not happy."

The woman instructed the restaurant staff to hurry up with the order "because she was coming back," according to the Popeyes employees.

The woman allegedly made several threats to the staff of the Popeyes in Augusta — even threatening to drive her car into the restaurant, according to the incident report from the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.

An 18-year-old employee was standing near the front of the building and was almost struck by the car when the woman's SUV crashed through the restaurant, according to WJBF.

The woman smashed into the Popeyes restaurant and then punched the gas pedal and drove another four feet into the building after the initial crash, according to authorities. The woman stopped crashing into the building after debris prevented the SUV from going any further, according to the arrest warrant. Nobody was injured by the woman ramming her car into the Popeyes restaurant.

The woman fled the crime scene.

Four days after a vehicle drove into the Popeyes restaurant, police arrested a suspect. On Wednesday, police arrested Belinda H. Miller. Authorities said that Miller's vehicle was found at her home with front-end damage.

She was booked Miller into the Charles B. Webster Detention Center. Miller, 50, was charged with aggravated assault and first degree criminal damage to property.

WJBF provided video footage of the damage the SUV caused at the Popeyes restaurant.

Woman charged with attempted murder after plowing through crowd of Trump supporters with car

A woman was arrested and charged with attempted murder for driving her car through a crowd of President Donald Trump supporters on Saturday. Two people were hit by the vehicle and suffered "major injuries."

There were dueling protests in Yorba Linda, California, on Saturday afternoon between Black Lives Matter supporters and a pro-Trump crowd. There was also reportedly a demonstration by "Caravan for Justice," a Black Lives Matter-inspired social justice group that is "dedicated to the next level of progression in our fight for equality and justice" and calls for the "boycott businesses and foundations that support and fund corrupt police departments," according to the group's Facebook page.

The Orange County Sheriff's Department believes the driver that rammed demonstrators is a member of the Caravan for Justice event, ABC News reported. Authorities identify the driver as Tatiana Turner, 40, of Long Beach.

"Federal records show that Turner filed a trademark application for Caravan4Justice in July," the Daily Mail reported. Turner was named as a "beneficiary" for a GoFundMe campaign titled "Fundraising for Caravan4Justice" that was launched in July.

At around 3 p.m., a white car drove into a crowd of Trump supporters who were gathered at the parking lot of the Yorba Linda Public Library. Shocking video shows the vehicle smashing through people who were waving American flags and wearing pro-Trump paraphernalia. After the car accelerates into the crowd, knocking several people to the ground, a man punches and breaks the rear window of the car as Turner drives away.

The crowd chased after the car after plowing through the rally. After getting the attention of law enforcement, police pulled over Turner a short distance away from the incident.
