Hostile Dems FAIL to trap Durham in Congress

Justice Department special counsel John Durham was met by hostile Democrats when he testified in front of Wednesday’s House Judiciary Committee, but he didn’t take it lying down.

When Rep. Steve Cohen (D-Tenn.), accused Durham during a cross-examination of damaging his own reputation by allegedly helping former President Donald Trump, Durham responded, “My concern about my reputation is with the people who I respect and my family and my Lord.”

“And I’m perfectly comfortable with my reputation with them, sir,” he added.

Sara Gonzales of "The News & Why It Matters" believes that Cohen “was mad that Durham didn’t politicize this as everyone else has.”

She adds that if you don’t like Trump, you’re supposed to use your dislike for him to influence your decisions, because she doesn’t know “what siding with him would have to do with an unbiased, objective, fact-finding report.”

Frequent guest Jaco Booyens believes they do this because they “don’t let any disaster go to waste. Don’t let any opportunity for them go to waste. And they saw this as an opportunity to dig at Trump.”

“This is a moment for them,” Booyens adds.

Head writer and researcher for Glenn Beck Jason Buttrill is shocked at just how easily it comes for everyone to lie about Donald Trump, especially considering the work they do.

“In media you can’t fart in the wrong direction of someone and claim that it was theirs without getting hit with a libel case,” he says.

“We’ve just seen,” he continues, “like seven years straight, something like that, of them blatantly lying about Donald Trump.”

“The Durham report proved that everything in the Russia investigation, the Russia hoax, all that crap, was exactly that — crap. It was all false, based on lies,” he adds.

Video: British thief's 'Indiana Jones-style slide' to get past closing shutters fails. Stuck, he drinks to his misfortune.

On at least two occasions in the "Indiana Jones" franchise, the titular hero narrowly avoids certain death and entombment in accursed subterranean locations by slipping through fast-closing gateways, sure never to lose his iconic fedora in the process.
Confronted with the prospect of idling inside a convenience store until police arrived, a thief in Northeast England risked potential decapitation in a similar fashion last month; however, unlike the fictional Dr. Jones, Malcolm Trimble of Durham City was not nearly as fast as he needed to be.

According to the Durham Constabulary, Trimble, 30, walked into a Durham City store with a large kitchen knife stowed up his sleeve.

Surveillance footage of the incident shows a man wearing a hooded jacket and mask carrying a four-pack of lager over to the counter, then brandishing the knife. Police indicated Trimble threatened the shopkeeper with the blade.

The shopkeeper wasn't about to die over lager, but he also wasn't going to be taken advantage of. He triggered the system to lower the shop's metal roller shutters and raced outside. Once clear of the store, the shopkeeper held the door shut, containing the thief until police could deal with him.

As the heavy metal shutters descended, sealing all portals to the outside, Trimble struggled against the shopkeeper to open the door. The shopkeeper managed to bar the thief's exit long enough for the shutters to descend to within just a few feet of the ground.

Although Trimble finally got the door open, his escape was anything but assured. He dropped his beer on the threshold, then attempted what police later referred to as an "Indiana Jones-style slide" under the closing shutters. His feet, legs and lower torso made it outside, but the thief's upper half was left behind along with the beer.

The Durham Constabulary noted that while the pinned-down thief attempted to wriggle free, the shopkeeper called police, who promptly rushed to the shop.

In the three minutes it took for officers to arrive on scene, Trimble managed to crack open a cold lager and toast his failure.

Durham Constabulary

Trimble was reportedly sentenced to three years and four months in jail for attempted robbery and possession of a knife.

Detective Sergeant Paul Mawson of Durham Constabulary said, "It wasn’t the most difficult arrest we have ever made. To be honest, it was an open-and-shut case."

Durham report EXPLAINED: Here’s EVERYTHING we learned

Not even Jake Tapper believes the Durham report incriminates Trump.

Tapper took to CNN to say, “Regardless, the report is now here. It has dropped. And it might not have produced everything of what some Republicans hoped for. It is, regardless, devastating to the FBI, and to a degree, it does exonerate Donald Trump.”

Glenn Beck is floored.

“Jake Tapper was one of the first ones to really jump on the bandwagon and say this is true,” he continues, “so for him to reverse himself, that’s a big deal for him to be on CNN and reverse himself.”

While Glenn doesn’t always agree with characters like Jake Tapper, he agreed with him on this one — and believes the report is very damaging to the FBI.

“What we found out yesterday was the FBI had zero intel or faith in any of this. So, they open an investigation on something they had no faith on, they had no intel, and more importantly what we found out is that they had been briefed on the fact that Hillary and her campaign was going to discredit Trump by claiming Russian collusion.”

The report also makes clear that Joe Biden was aware of these campaign plans.

According to Director Brennan’s handwritten notes, these plans were called “The Clinton Plan Intelligence.”

Durham writes, “Specifically Director Brennan’s handwritten notes reflect that he briefed the meeting participants regarding the alleged approval by Hillary Clinton on the 26th of July of a proposal from one of her campaign advisors to vilify Donald Trump by stirring up a scandal claiming interference by the Russian Security Services.”

This she did in order to “get the spotlight off her email scandal,” Glenn says.

“So, let’s just start adding up the crimes here,” Glenn continues. “You have intel that one campaign is going to release false information to tie them to the Russians. Your FBI knows it, your CIA director is briefing the president, the vice president, Joe Biden, about the Clinton Plan Intelligence, and they do nothing.”

“Now, how can any American say this is not a big deal?” he asks.
