Video: BlazeTV host Sara Gonzales exposes family-friendly drag show where children collect tips, performer toasts those who 'lick us where we pee'

BlazeTV host Sara Gonzales exposed a family-friendly bingo and drag show in Princeton, Texas. Video recorded by Gonzales shows children scooping up tip money for the drag show performers.

Princeton TX Diverse presented a "Beauty and the Bingo" drag show at the Steve & Judy Deffibaugh Community Center on Saturday afternoon. Tickets were $20.

Princeton TX Diverse is an organization that believes "everyone is welcome here, no matter their age, color, disability, economic standing, ethnicity, family status, gender, genetic information, national origin, neurodiversity, marital status, race, sexual orientation, spiritual identity, or veteran status."

Gonzales – the host of "The News & Why It Matters" podcast – attended the drag show event. She recorded eye-opening footage and shared video on her Twitter and Instagram accounts.

Video shows a bearded performer raising a beer bottle and urging the attendees to make a toast. The drag show performer acknowledges that there are children in attendance, but continues with the risqué toast anyway.

The drag show performer tells the crowd, "So raise your glasses. Cheers to you, cheers to me, cheers to the ones who lick us where we pee."

Footage shows the drag show performers executing salacious dance moves while dressed in provocative outfits.

At one point, a drag show performer throws dollar bills into the air. Three children rush to the floor and collect the tip money.

The announcer says of the children, "And thank you to our little helpers running up here picking up her money. That right there is our future."

Gonzales was kicked out of the "Beauty and the Bingo" show. However, the drag show was broadcast on the official Facebook page for Princeton TX Diverse.

In the past few months, there have been numerous LGBTQ events in Texas that have involved children.

In December, an "all-ages" event titled "The Island of Misfit Toys Drive & Drag Show" was held in San Antonio. The show included a screening of the Christmas classic "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer."

In November, a bookstore in Denton hosted a "transgender storytime" for children. BlazeTV personality Alex Stein mocked Antifa members who were guarding the event.

In June, a Texas gay bar hosted a "Drag the Kids to Pride" event where drag queen dancers provocatively gyrated in front of children as young as toddlers. The promoters labeled the event as the "ultimate family-friendly pride experience."

San Diego parents outraged at 'queerest' Halloween party with 'family-friendly' drag show promoted at grade schools and sponsored by gender reassignment surgery center

Parents in San Diego, California, are outraged over a flyer that was sent to public school children advertising the "queerest" Halloween party with a "family-friendly" drag show and sponsored by a gay bar and a gender reassignment surgery center.

The flyer for the show was sent to parents of students in the Encinitas Union School District using its email platform.

The event is being organized by Trans Family Support Services, a group based in San Diego that helps provide transgender support services for people across the country.

The flyer advertised a "family-friendly drag show" as well as other Halloween events like a costume contest and trick or treating.

The drag show was advertised as having a "Disney villain" theme and included the performers Razzle Dazzle Richards, Amber St. James, Naomi Daniels, and Mariam T.

The school district explained that the email went out through PeachJar, a service that offers optional information about other events in the district. It added that the emails contained the notice, "distribution of this flyer does not imply endorsement by the Encinitas union school district, its schools or staff and is distributed in compliance with federal and state law."

Some parents are planning to attend the school district's board meeting to protest the event and to denounce a comment made by a district employee calling them homophobes.

Attorney Paul Jonna told KGTV-TV that a concerned parent called him and that he was requesting information from the school district.

“A lot of people are just generally not comfortable with the idea of pushing drag queen shows on little kids but separate and apart from that I think the biggest concern with this event are the sponsors,” Jonna said.

“We submitted a public records request to find out more about their involvement, their communication with these sponsors and sort of this event,” he added.

He added that the event was sponsored by Align Surgical Associates, that advertises as offering "gender confirmation surgery for transwomen, transmen, non-binary, and gender diverse individuals." He said another sponsor, Rich's San Diego, advertises itself as "San Diego's largest and most popular gay nightclub."

Kathie Moehlig, the founder and executive director of Trans Family Support Services, said they will not cancel the show.

“We’re not going to back down from doing what we know is right and appropriate to support these youth and their families, just because some people think they can use it as their mega piece to get talking points and get attention,” said Moehlig.

Illinois bakery owner shocked at negativity over 'family-friendly' drag show, says acts won't be 'overly sexual'

The owner of a bakery in the suburbs of Illinois was shocked at the ire aimed at her shop after she announced a "family-friendly" drag show and invited parents to bring their children.

Corinna Sac, the owner of Uprising Bakery in Lake in the Hills, said she woke up dozens of negative messages over the planned drag show.

“We’ve had a lot of customers say that they will never purchase from us again,” Sac said to WGN-TV. “We had one gentleman come in and spit on the front of our bakery case."

She posted on the bakery's Facebook page a screenshot of some of the negative reviews.

"This is 7 days to relentless harassment and it is ridiculous and exhausting. This has got to stop. Our community as a whole should be further along than this. There is no space on this planet for this kind of hatred and negativity. STOP IT, MOVE ON!" she wrote in the post on Thursday.

The show was advertised as "Starry Night, Starry Skies" and would cost $35-$50 for adults and $20 for children under 13 years of age.

Sac said she spoke to the performers to make sure their acts were "family-friendly" and not overly sexual.

“I just wish that people would understand we’re not targeting children,” Sac continued. “There are children tickets available for those families who wish to bring their children and for the families who decide that’s OK for their family setting.”

In response to the furor, Lake in the Hills police Chief Mary Frake warned anyone planning to disrupt the event.

“The safety and Constitutional rights of everyone who choose to participate, in whatever capacity, is our priority," Frake said.

"However, under no circumstances will we tolerate a disruption of this event or any activity that disrupts the peace. Individuals who plan on attending, in support or opposition, with plans to engage in acts of violence or criminal activity will be met with police response," she added.

The drag show is scheduled for Saturday, July 23.

Indiana town cancels drag show advertised as 'family-friendly' after one post from Libs of TikTok

The popular "Libs of TikTok" account caused the cancellation of a drag show in Jasper, Indiana, that was advertised as "family-friendly."

The drag show was a part of an event dubbed as "Pride in the Park" and organized by the Dubois County Pride committee in conjunction with the city of Jasper.

Libs of TikTok posted a screenshot of the advertisement from the group and noted that they encouraged children of all ages to attend, and also asked for everyone to bring money to give to the drag show performers.

The tweet garnered nearly a thousand retweets and more than 3.6k likes on Twitter.

On Wednesday, the group announced in a Facebook post that the drag show was cancelled.

"We regretfully announce that due to safety and security concerns, the family-friendly drag performance planned for Pride in the Park has been cancelled," read the statement.

"This decision was jointly made by the City of Jasper, ONE- Dubois County, and the Dubois County Pride committee," the statement continued. "While the Dubois County Pride committee is disappointed by this development, we are in no way deterred. Our mission to promote and advocate love and equality remains steadfast."

Some LGBTQ supporters were very angry that Libs of TikTok was able to cancel the show just by posting it on Twitter.

"A drag show had to be cancelled due to safety and security concerns. Twitter just lets this go on while a campaign of terror is being inflicted on LGBTQ people and orgs," tweeted one activist.

In a similar incident at a high school in Iowa, students were invited to a drag show without their parents being warned and without permission slips being signed. The Libs of TikTok account posted video of the inappropriate event, and the high school apologized and opened an investigation into the matter.
