14-year-old boy punches drug-pushing male in head after he lunges at teen. Male falls, hits head on street, dies weeks later.

A 14-year-old boy punched a drug-pushing male in the head after the male lunged at the teen last month in Pueblo, Colorado.

With that, the male fell and hit his head on the street — and died weeks later. Pueblo police said they believe the teen was acting in self-defense, KOAA-TV reported.

The station said the Pueblo County Coroner's Office will release the identity of the male in question at a later time.

Around 5 p.m. Sept. 27, police arrived in the 1100 block of York Street — which is located near the East 4th Street and Highway 50 interchange — and said the boy was providing aid to a male "experiencing homelessness," the station reported.

Police told KOAA they learned the male approached the boy and asked him if he wanted to "smoke drugs."

Police told the station the boy declined and tried to leave, but the male continued to try to talk to the boy.

With that, the male lunged at the boy, and the boy punched the male in the head, KOAA said.

Police said the male fell and hit his head on the street, the station reported, adding that he was taken to a hospital, where he died from his injuries Oct. 12.

Police told KOAA they believe the teenager acted in self-defense, and at the moment, no charges have been filed against the boy.

The station said the Pueblo County Coroner's Office will release the identity of the male in question at a later time.

Police added to KOAA that they're still investigating the case, and if you have any information about the incident to call Det. Shay at 719-553-2445. The station also said if you want to remain anonymous, you can call Pueblo Crime Stoppers at 719-542-7867.

Thug confesses to brutally beating 74-year-old man who died next day in hospital; attack on Baltimore street caught on video

A male confessed to brutally beating a 74-year-old man on a Baltimore street Saturday, WJZ-TV reported, citing court documents. The victim died in a hospital the next day; the attack was caught on surveillance video.

Police said they arrested 43-year-old Timothy Clinedinst in connection with the attack against David Philpot.

'He wouldn't be dead if it wasn't for this person.'

Investigators said they learned Clinedinst assaulted Philpot in the 1700 block of Eastern Avenue, adding that the Medical Examiner's office determined Philpot's death was a homicide.

Clinedinst was arrested Monday in Baltimore County (Dundalk) and booked on an involuntary manslaughter charge, police said. Clinedinst is due back in court in mid-September, WJZ reported.

You can view surveillance video of the attack here. The video shows the attacker shoving the victim backward across a sidewalk until the victim lands on his right side — and halfway into the street. The attacker then lifts up the victim's feet and drags the victim the rest of the way into the street between two parked cars. It also appears the attacker kicks the victim in the head and puts his hands around the victim's neck.

Police said Philpot suffered a broken hip and numerous cuts and bruises, WJZ reported.

Philpot's widow, Mary Margaret Philpot, told the station the attack aggravated her husband's pre-existing heart condition: "He shouldn't be dead. He wouldn't be dead if it wasn't for this person."

David Chebahtah, a neighbor of the Philpot family, told WJZ that "it's a tragedy that a 40 [something]-year-old old man has to beat up a 70-plus-year-old man. The sense of safety in the neighborhood has been shaken. He was a great neighbor, and he always smiled."

Philpot's widow added to the station that her husband also was a father, grandfather, and veteran and wanted to help others: "On the block, the standing joke was if something's wrong, 'Go get Mr. Dave, he will fix it.'"

She added tearfully that her late husband "was my hero. He was my world. I just want this to be resolved. Let's just say let justice do what they have to do."

Blaze News original: A dozen times gangs on motorcycles, ATVs, and bikes harassed, attacked, and killed others

Sometimes people who ride all-terrain vehicles, motorcycles, dirt bikes — and even your everyday bicycles — hit the road in groups. Sometimes nothing comes of their convoys.

But at other times — as Blaze News has extensively reported — they're up to no good.

Harris’ dashcam video recorded the bikers beating him with helmets, kicking him, and hitting him with his own wrench, WINK said, adding that Harris suffered a fractured skull.

Readers no doubt recall the horrific story about 30 to 40 ATV riders who surrounded and severely beat up an 82-year-old motorist who was out to "pick up a turkey" in Boston ahead of Thanksgiving in 2021.

The victim's daughter told WCVB-TV her dad "wasn't doing anything wrong. He's simply traveling somewhere, and then he gets attacked, and it's heartbreaking for us to know that it's not safe for our 82-year-old father to be out by himself. Discouraged at humanity in general to know that someone — or more than someone — can get together and beat on a defenseless elderly man." Victim Richard Bell months later told Inside Edition, “I feel I’m lucky to be alive."

It's been a problem in Houston ... in Durham, North Carolina ... in Wicomico County, Maryland ... in San Francisco ... as well as in other big cities such as Philadelphia, Los Angeles, New York City, and Miami.

The following are a dozen times when gangs on motorcycles, ATVs, dirt bikes, and even bicycles harassed, attacked, and killed others.

Dirt bike, ATV riders drag mother from car, brutally beat her during road rage attack while victim's 8-year-old child trapped in vehicle

The violent attack occurred about 11 p.m. on Aug. 1, 2021, after an alleged road rage incident in Providence, Rhode Island. The Boston Globe, citing a police report, said when the bikes failed to move during a green light, the mother honked and then made a turn. But a few minutes later when the mother was stopped at another traffic light, the Globe said the riders allegedly came up from behind her and surrounded her vehicle, preventing her from moving forward.

A few of the riders dragged the 35-year-old mother from her vehicle, police said, adding that about 10 riders are seen on video viciously pummeling her with kicks and punches as her 8-year-old child was stranded in the car nearby. The riders then fled the crime scene. The violent attack was captured on a cellphone video, which WLNE-TV posted.

Shyanne Boisvert, 24, was arrested Aug. 5 in connection with the attack, police said. She was charged with one count of simple assault and one count of disorderly conduct, according to Deputy Chief of Police Commander Thomas A. Verdi. She was held pending arraignment. The Cranston Police Department tipped off Providence Police to Boisvert's whereabouts since she was arrested in January 2021 for reportedly pushing a police officer after about 30 motorcycles and ATVs were speeding and weaving in and out of traffic. As the officer handcuffed Boisvert, another driver was arrested and accused of running over the cop's legs with his ATV before fleeing and later crashing into a police cruiser. Another member of the group was arrested and accused of leading police on a chase and striking a passing car.

Gang of ATV, dirt bike riders surround police in Philly, throw bricks, bottles at cops, break windshield of police vehicle

A gang of dirt bike and ATV riders surrounded police at a Philadelphia gas station on the night of Oct. 16, 2022, and threw bricks and bottles at cops, which resulted in a broken windshield. Police bodycam video showed one rider throw an object at a police vehicle. Police were still looking for the culprits days later; the city has a "no pursuit" policy for such vehicles, PhillyVoice reported at the time.

Thug biker riding in large group stomps, smashes rear window of car while kids, 2 and 5, are in back seat. Mom confronts biker, who points gun her, but she won't back down.

Blaze News reported extensively on the biker who was accused of stomping and smashing a car's rear window on a Philadelphia street last fall while kids, ages 2 and 5, were in the car's back seat — after which the biker allegedly pointed a gun at their mother and head-butted her.

Nikki Bullock, the mother in question, spoke to WCAU-TV about the ordeal, which took place around 8:45 p.m. on Oct. 1, 2023. Bullock told the station she was delivering food with her girlfriend and their two children when the assailant — who was riding with large group of bikers — hit her car.

"They’re not paying attention to lanes. They’re just doing whatever. So I’m turning in the lane, and he just hits the side of the car," Bullock told WCAU, adding that she argued with the biker afterward.

She noted to the station the biker at that point took things to another level, hopping up on her car's back bumper and stomping on the rear window before jumping high and smashing through the window with both feet. Video shows the biker getting down to the street while dropping what appears to be a gun. As the biker picks it up, the mom exits the car to confront the biker — who responds by pointing a gun at her. She continued trying to get in the biker's face, and the biker — who was wearing a helmet — head-butted her and shoved her.

Well, Bullock still wasn't about to back down, and video shows her shoving the biker back — and he falls sideways along with his two-wheeled ride. Bullock added to WCAU that her kids are all right and "there's not a scratch on them." Video shows her with at least one child in her arms walking away from the scene. (You can view the station's interview with Bullock, as well as video of the incident, here.)

Cody Heron, 26, was charged with possession of an instrument of crime, recklessly endangering another person, and multiple counts of aggravated assault in connection with the incident, the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office said. Heron pleaded guilty in February, after which he was convicted — and then earlier this month he was sentenced to one to four years in prison.

Mini-bike riders attack 'Beverly Hills, 90210' actor Ian Ziering on Hollywood Boulevard: 'Hooliganism on our streets'

Mini-bike riders were caught on video physically attacking "Beverly Hills, 90210" actor Ian Ziering on Hollywood Boulevard on Dec. 31, 2023. (You can view video of the attack here and here and here.) TMZ said the attack took place after a large group of riders were weaving in and out of traffic. Video shows Ziering exiting his vehicle and shoving a rider who appeared to be idling in front of the "90210" alum's vehicle. With that, the shoved rider went after Ziering — and got plenty of help from fellow riders, all of whom surrounded and converged upon the actor and began punching him.

Ziering gamely fought back but began running across the street once he sensed he was outnumbered. But the mini-bike riders kept coming after Ziering. The actor kept fighting back, however, and managed to kick one of them before another threw an overhand right at the actor. A video recorded after the attack on Ziering shows at least a dozen riders idling in the middle of street, blocking traffic in both directions, as a couple of them kick and slam helmets into Ziering's vehicle before the whole crew takes off.

KCAL-TV said Ziering's daughter also was in the vehicle during the attack; TMZ said the 10-year-old's name is Penna. It isn't clear whether anyone else was in the vehicle at the time of the attack. As the riders leave the scene, Ziering is seen crossing the street, heading to his vehicle, and hugging his daughter, who appears distraught.

The next day Ziering posted an Instagram message saying that "the incident has left me deeply concerned about the growing boldness of such groups who disrupt public safety and peace. This situation highlights a larger issue of hooliganism on our streets and the need for effective law enforcement responses to such behavior. As a citizen and a parent, I find it unacceptable that groups can freely engage in this kind of behavior, causing fear and chaos, while the response from authorities seems insufficient."

Last month police said two suspects were arrested in connection with the incident, USA Today reported. Jacob Esteban Hernandez, 20, was booked for felony vandalism, and Angie Teresa Guizar, 40, was booked for assault with a deadly weapon, the paper said.

Dirt bike riders hunt down, shoot teen boy believed to have been making food deliveries on his scooter in south Philly

Just before 12:30 a.m. April 24, Philadelphia police found a 17-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg next to his crashed scooter at South 10th and Federal Streets, WCAU-TV reported, citing Chief Inspector Scott Small. Officers rushed the boy to a hospital, where he was being treated in stable condition, the station said.

The incident began minutes earlier at 10th and South Streets when a group of about six to eight mask-wearing men on at least four ATVs tried to rob the teen of his scooter, police told WCAU, adding that the teen — who possibly was finishing his shift — fled on 10th Street. The dirt bikers "chased the 17-year-old who was on the motorized scooter" about 10 blocks before shooting him, Small told the station, after which the victim continued driving for about 100 feet before crashing his scooter into a parked car.

Gang of young bicyclists carry out 'animalistic attack' on BMW in Manhattan in broad daylight

The attack took place around 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 29, 2020, at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and 21st Street, the New York Post reported. (You can view a video of the incident here in which the attackers try to get into the BMW, do body slams on its hood, and beat the vehicle with their bikes.) Soon one of the thugs gets a running start, launches himself off the hood, and comes down with both feet slamming into the car's windshield, shattering and caving it in.

An unnamed Manhattan cop told the Post that "this was an animalistic attack in broad daylight." After noting that the pair in the car were clearly scared for their lives, the cop added, "It shows how far the city has deteriorated, and the politicians better get their heads out of the sand and start to deal with these problems before there is nothing left."

Road-rage perp in large group of riders physically attacks motorist on Philly street, chucks heavy debris at vehicle — and appears to grab gun

The attacker was traveling with a large group of dirt bikes and quads, which is illegal, PhillyVoice reported at the time. The victim — a 25-year-old man in an SUV — had been driving just after 6 p.m. on March 9, 2021, when the riders came to a sudden stop, and the victim's SUV hit one of the bikes in the 1100 block of South Broad Street, the outlet said. Police said the SUV driver exited his vehicle to check on the biker — and the biker became combative and demanded payment for the damages, PhillyVoice reported. A now-deleted witness' video shows portions of the rider's subsequent attack, which included the rider punching the SUV driver. Then the enraged rider walks away from the SUV apparently toward the group with whom he'd been traveling and shouts, "Let me see that!" The biker then reaches out and appears to grab a gun from someone not visible in the clip. The rider also picked up what appeared to be heavy debris from the street and chucked it at both sides of the SUV, and the vehicle's windows appear to shatter. Police told PhillyVoice the SUV driver reported minor injuries from the attack and from being cut by broken glass. A passenger in the SUV who was not seen in the video also suffered unspecified injures, a police spokesperson added to the outlet. Police told PhillyVoice at the time that they have a "person of interest" in custody. (You can view video — which includes a report about the attack along with video of it — here.)

Vicious biker gang brutally beats, stomps elderly man and son during broad-daylight attack in NYC

Dirt bikers violently yanked an elderly man and his adult son out of their car in Harlem on March 15, 2022, mercilessly beating them before stealing a cell phone, a wallet, and some cash. WABC-TV said the incident took place near the intersection of St. Nicholas Terrace and West 127th Street. (You can view video of the attack here.)

Authorities said the beating occurred after one of the bikers ran a red light and collided with a car, which held a 64-year-old man and his 36-year-old son. Surveillance video shows at least four bikers surrounding the father and son's vehicle as two of them yank the driver out of his vehicle and throw him on the ground. One of the suspects then can be seen kicking the driver while he lies on the ground, and a second suspect later punches him. Video also showed others surrounding and kicking the victims while one suspect appeared to ram a bike into one of the victims. The victims were hospitalized and said to be in stable condition.

At least three people were arrested in the wake of the attack, the New York Post reported: Antwaun Joyce, 30, was charged with three counts of robbery and one count of gang assault; James McMurren, 29, was charged with robbery, gang assault, and assault; Kureem Nelson, 35, was charged on two counts each of robbery and assault, as well as a count each of gang assault, petit larceny, and criminal mischief.

Thugs on dirt bikes violently beat US postal worker in Brooklyn in broad daylight as he made his rounds

The mail carrier suffered multiple broken bones in his face when at least two males on dirt bikes attacked him, New York City police told WCBS-TV. (You can view video of the summer 2021 attack here.) The NYPD told WNBC-TV they're searching for five males following the attack on the 57-year-old postal worker. Witnesses said the dirt bikers aggressively rode around Brooklyn's Greenpoint neighborhood and prevented the mail carrier from completing his rounds by keeping him from crossing the street. Video shows one of the suspects illegally riding his dirt bike on the sidewalk and coming at the postal carrier from behind. The worker swiped at him with his keys, WCBS said, and the suspect struck back. A second suspect on a dirt bike joined in when the postal worker dared to defend himself. The two males pinned the victim against a wall and repeatedly punched him.

Gang of about 30 ATV, dirt bikers brutally attacks motorist in NYC; 45-year-old victim suffers severe neck, spinal injuries and dies 2 weeks later

Authorities said the Nov. 4, 2022, assault occurred around 10 p.m. on East 125th Street, WNYW-TV reported. One rider hit the passenger-side mirror of Arthur Cooke's vehicle, the station said, adding that Cooke got out to survey the damage and then the riders attacked him. Cooke died from his injuries Nov. 18, WNYW said, adding that he had a young child. (You can view WNYW's video report here.)

Motorcycle riders chase motorist after verbal confrontation, beat him with his own wrench, fracture his skull

The road-rage attack took place in North Ft. Myers, Florida, on Jan. 9, 2021, the Daily Mail reported. (You can view video of the attack and the aftermath here.)

Victim Jeremy Harris told WINK-TV he noticed the motorcycle riders blocking an intersection: “They were stopping traffic so that people could not get through, so I said something to them about it, and we had an exchange of words." Harris added to the station that he accidentally clipped one of the bikers while driving down Pondella Road, after which seven men went after him.

Harris has a license to carry a gun and could have flashed it at his attackers, WINK said, but he decided against it and grabbed his wrench instead.

“I grab the wrench more so to scare them off than to use it, and one of the guys on the bike pulled out a handgun and cocked it,” Harris recounted to the station. “I backed off, but before I could get back and turn to my vehicle, they swarmed me.”

Harris’ dashcam video recorded the bikers beating him with helmets, kicking him, and hitting him with his own wrench, WINK said, adding that Harris suffered a fractured skull. “If I could sit in the passenger seat and just redo that, I would’ve said, ‘Hey, man, just keep going. It ain’t worth it. It ain’t worth it,'" he added to the station.

WINK reported in a follow-up story that four males had been arrested in connection with the physical attack: Kevin Cordero, 27; Jermin Deleon, 36; Roberto Deltoro, 35; and Ramon Santiago, 32.

Multiple ATV, dirt bike riders surround motorist on Christmas Eve, argument ensues, motorist tries to flee — and is fatally shot, sources say

The driver of a red Mazda 3 was traveling southbound on Northwest 13th Avenue in Northwest Miami-Dade and was nearing the intersection with 119th Street just after 4 p.m. last Christmas Eve when multiple ATV and dirt bike riders surrounded the car, WSVN-TV reported, citing sources.

An argument ensued, and when the motorist tried to flee, someone opened fire into the Mazda multiple times, sources told the station, and the victim suffered a gunshot wound to the neck. Sources added to WSVN that the subjects fled the scene. The station said Miami-Dade Police had not confirmed the aforementioned details but were investigating.

Blaze News original: A dozen times vehicular street takeovers and 'sideshows' resulted in violence, injuries — even death

Blaze News has reported extensively about dangerous street takeovers — also called sideshows — which typically consist of participants meeting at a predetermined intersection, blocking it off, and drivers doing endless donuts in a circle and other dangerous stuff while a big crowd gawks and records it all on video.

Street takeovers can pop up anywhere. Earlier this year, 30 vehicles were impounded after a street takeover on the 6th Street Bridge in Los Angeles, KTTV-TV reported. Some happen right in the middle of interstate highways, as you'll soon read about below.

'Because one of our officers was surrounded by a bunch of masked, tough-guy-wannabe-thugs who ... acted in a criminal manner, in a way that I’ll tell you is never going to happen again in Fairfax County.'

But they're always a challenge for law enforcement. Check out what a couple of Connecticut police departments — through their bodycam videos — had to contend with last December.

With that, the following are a dozen examples of street takeovers and sideshows that resulted in violence, injuries — and even death:

Chief says female officer 'narrowly escaped a line-of-duty death scenario' after 'tough-guy-wannabe-thugs' surrounded her cruiser amid street takeover

The street takeover took place around 3 a.m. March 31 in Springfield, Virginia. Fairfax County Police bodycam video caught much of the "utter chaos and disorder." Police said, "A large group of individuals surrounded the officer’s cruiser. At least one attempted to remove the license plate from the vehicle as the others acted disorderly." Participants reportedly jumped on police cruisers and slammed their windows. Law enforcement said one male was outside a police vehicle armed with a rifle, and a motorist allegedly struck an officer with a vehicle and fled. The officer reportedly suffered minor injuries.

Fairfax County Police Chief Kevin Davis stated, "I believe we narrowly escaped a line-of-duty death scenario of our own. Because one of our officers was surrounded by a bunch of masked, tough-guy-wannabe-thugs who ... acted in a criminal manner, in a way that I’ll tell you is never going to happen again in Fairfax County."

Davis said he believes that the mob "fully intended to drag" a female police officer out of her car and harm her: "Thankfully, they didn’t get into the car, and we’re very grateful for that." You can view the police department's news conference about the incident — which includes police bodycam video — here.

Street-takeover driver fatally strikes 24-year-old woman on Christmas Day

The deadly 2022 incident took place around 9 p.m. at the intersection of Florence Avenue and Crenshaw Boulevard in Los Angeles. Cellphone video shows a car, which police described as a black Chevy Camaro, careen into a crowd of spectators; Elyzza Guajaca was struck and died at a hospital.

Guajaca's family told KTLA-TV she was planning on becoming a nurse and had become a fan of racing and street takeovers after watching the "Fast and Furious" series of movies. They also said they warned her to stop attending street takeovers due to the danger involved.

Police said it's likely that others were seriously injured in the crash. You can view video related to the street takeover here. Video reportedly shows the driver hop out of the car and join others in pummeling a man on the ground. There were about 200 people in the crowd, according to Los Angeles police detective Ryan Moreno.

State police shoot dead 18-year-old driver they say hit 2 troopers amid illegal street racing on Interstate 95 in Philly

State police told WTXF-TV officers were sent to the interstate highway near Penn's Landing around 3:30 a.m. June 4, 2023, and found several vehicles illegally blocking the roadway as other drivers were doing "burnouts" and "drifting" while numerous people watched. You can view video related to the deadly incident here.

Police added to the station that as they attempted to approach a vehicle and its driver — identified as Anthony Allegrini Jr. — two troopers were hit by the car. Police noted to WTXF that one trooper shot Allegrini, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The troopers who were allegedly struck suffered minor injuries, NBC News said, citing state police.

WTXF added in a separate story that it received video of several drivers performing illegal donuts and burnouts at the intersection of Cottman and Torresdale Avenues in northeast Philadelphia just hours before the Penn's Landing incident. The station said hundreds of people can be seen gathered at the intersection as vehicles performed the illegal racing with passengers hanging out of car windows and roof openings.

"Once again, our great city of Philadelphia was under siege by criminal activity involving illegal street-racing," FOP Lodge #5 President John McNesby told WTXF, adding that illegal racing also took place at a third location. "Another weekend of Philadelphia and state police officers putting themselves in danger to curb this criminal behavior."

Driver involved in Oakland sideshow crashes car, kills bystander

Instagram video shows a Nissan 350Z driving east on International Boulevard around 2 a.m. June 26, 2022, followed by an Oakland police car, KTVU-TV reported. Soon the Nissan crashed, sending a parked car into a group of people — among them 28-year-old Lolomanaia Soakai, who was killed. You can view video related to the incident here.

Oakland police arrested Arnold Linaldi, 19, on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence, the station said. "Speed was a factor in this investigation, and it appears that the vehicle was involved in sideshow activity prior to the collision," then-Oakland Police Chief LeRonne Armstrong said, according to KTVU, adding that the suspect had been speeding.

"Prior to the collision, two officers attempted to stop the vehicle traveling at nearly 100 miles per hour," Armstrong said, according to the station. "The officers could not keep up with the vehicle, and the officers disengaged the vehicle."

Young male shot to death during street takeover near Compton

A young male was shot to death during a street takeover on Aug. 14, 2022, the Los Angeles Times reported, citing the L.A. County Sheriff's Department. The fatal shooting took place in Willowbrook, the paper said. Willowbrook is just northwest of Compton. Detectives responded to a report of a shooting and street racing in the 13400 block of Mettler Avenue at 11:57 p.m., the Times said, citing a Sheriff’s Department news release. Deputies found an unresponsive youth between the ages of 15 to 20 suffering from gunshot wounds, police said, according to the paper. Authorities said the male was pronounced dead at a hospital, according to the Times. Police don’t believe the incident is gang-related, the paper said, adding that no suspect or vehicle information is available.

Cops say female may be dead after out-of-control car in street takeover struck her

Los Angeles police are looking for a female who was violently struck at an April 13 street takeover at the intersection of Manchester Avenue and San Pedro Street in the Florence neighborhood of south L.A., KABC-TV reported. You can view cellphone video of the street takeover here.

The driver — who was "conducting dangerous maneuvers known as donuts" with an Infinity G37 — lost control and slammed into the crowd, police told the station. The female — whose head hit the pavement and was bleeding — appeared to be unconscious, KABC said, adding that police said the driver fled, and some spectators carried the victim away.

The LAPD South Traffic Division said its attempts to identify the victim have been unsuccessful, the station said.

"We've checked in with the coroner's office, our missing persons, I think these guys even tried using some facial recognition software to try and identify this person, and so far, we've struck out everywhere," LAPD Detective Ryan Moreno said at a media briefing.

No hospitals reported admitting a young woman with head injuries around that time, either, but Moreno added that investigators obtained some information leading them to believe she may be dead. Police are offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the hit-and-run driver, KABC said.

Masked thugs beat man to bloody pulp for confronting their street takeover in Oakland

Horrific cellphone video — which you can view here and here — shows masked thugs beating a man bloody after the victim confronted their street takeover in Oakland on April 30, 2023.

Video shows the beatdown victim throwing a bucket at one of the cars involved in the sideshow — and as you might expect, the occupants got out and attacked the man, who's knocked to the sidewalk and repeatedly punched and kicked as a surrounding crowd howls like it's a movie. And, of course, they turn it into one after pulling out cellphones and recording the attack.

No one helps the motionless man as blood drips down his cheeks. The viciousness wasn't enough, though: One of the attackers pulls the victim to his knees and kicks him twice in the buttocks. Someone yells at the victim, "You got knocked the f*** out!" — and apparently the bucket he originally threw at the car is placed over his head.

According to KTVU-TV, the attack took place at 34th and Adeline Streets, and the victim's condition could not be confirmed Monday. The station added that Oakland police indicated they are aware of the attack and added that there were numerous sideshows across the city the same day, which resulted in one arrest, a recovered gun, and a pair of towed cars.

Another sideshow video at the 34th and Adeline intersection shows a skidding red Mustang hitting at least two onlookers as well as a fire hydrant, after which water shoots into the air.

Man struck by car doing donuts during street takeover — 1 of 3 that occurred in one night in California county

Video shows the drifting car closing in on the man around 11:30 p.m. Oct. 6, 2022, at the intersection of Valley View Street and Artesia Boulevard in Buena Park, California. While the news station doesn't show the collision, its video shows the aftermath — and the victim is seen lying in the street. It was one of three street takeovers in Orange County that night; the others took place in Anaheim and Costa Mesa. It wasn't known if the victim was taken to a hospital. Those with minor injuries due to street takeovers rarely report them to law enforcement.

Street-takeover driver trying to elude cop hits onlookers — and suspect's brother goes to bat for him: 'He's a good kid. He messed up. Everybody has a mess-up.'

WSB-TV spoke to a man who identified himself as the brother of street-takeover suspect Kevin DaSilva. The man said, "He’s a good kid. He messed up. Everybody has a mess-up. He is sorry about everything that happened. He does apologize.”

Cellphone video shows the driver of a black Ford F-150 pickup truck blocking traffic at the intersection of Northside Drive NW and 17th Street in Atlanta while engaging in dangerous moves as a hefty crowd watched on Aug. 20, 2023, WXIA-TV reported. You can view video here showing the driver hitting onlookers as he tries to outrun police.

The driver in question "fled through the crowd striking several pedestrians, one of which suffered an injury," the Georgia State Police told WXIA. Victor Gonzales Lagos suffered a broken leg, WSB said, citing an arrest affidavit.

The trooper chased down the driver and pulled a PIT maneuver on him, bringing the truck to a stop, WXIA said. The trooper then exited the patrol car with his gun drawn, hopped atop the hood of the patrol car, and pulled the driver — who was holding his hands up — through the open window. The trooper then handcuffed the driver, who was soon lying face-down on the street. Jail records indicate DaSilva was charged with fleeing and attempting to elude, serious injury by vehicle, and reckless driving.

Mob of 500 takes over Philly intersection, gawks at cars doing donuts at 2 a.m. After cops move in, driver hits officer and flees scene.

Officials said the crowd and vehicles were near a Sunoco gas station in the 1300 block of Broad Street in north Philadelphia on July 23, 2023, KYW-TV reported. You can view video related to the street takeover here and here. An officer suffered a broken ankle after being struck by one of the drivers who then fled the scene, KYW said. The injured officer was taken to Jefferson University Hospital where he was treated, the station said, adding that several other officers also were injured and treated. Police told KYW the North Broad Street gathering was one of five to which officers responded over the weekend. John McNesby, president of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #5, told the station that "what's really sad is the city is starting to become accustomed to this."

Female passenger hanging out of street-takeover car falls from vehicle, car's back tire runs over her

Cellphone video of the incident — which took place at the corner of Cermak Road and Canalport Avenue in Chicago's Pilsen neighborhood on Feb. 4, 2023 — can be viewed here. The video shows the female hanging out of the passenger window of a car skidding in a circular motion in front of a large crowd. After she falls out of the window, the car's back tire runs over her.

WBBM-TV said a person who attended the street takeover indicated the victim was injured but survived. Police added to the station that they were called to the scene but had no information related to the injury.

Similar incidents prompted Chicago's City Council to pass an ordinance that would impound cars involved in illegal street stunts and racing, but critics said it's not enough.

Male reportedly injured when street-takeover driver hits him: 'The kid is limping back, and it's just scary'

Mrinali Goyal was visiting her brother Karan in San Francisco when they witnessed a terrifying moment during a sideshow at Main Street and Harrison Street just after midnight on Oct. 2, 2022, KRON-TV reported.

“Saw a bunch of cars doing donuts on the street, crowd of at least 50 people in a ring ... taking up the entire intersection, and then you had cars on all four sides just blocking in traffic so nobody could really get in or get out,” she told the station.

Video — which you can view here — shows one of the sideshow cars hitting a male.

“Someone gets hit, falls over, and then you see this car come back, runs over his foot, he loses his shoe, his phone breaks. This kid is limping back and it’s just scary,” she added to KRON.

She also told the station that police seemed helpless: “In that video you see like 10 police cars just there, but they’re not really doing anything, and even after they sort of chase them, I guess. But it didn’t really seem like they had the intent to go after them.” San Francisco police at the time told KRON no arrests have been made amid the active investigation.

Heartwarming bonus: Sheriff gives punks bad news about 88 cars towed and impounded after major street-takeover bust

Readers of Blaze News may recall a heartwarming tale earlier this year about the sheriff of California's San Joaquin County sharing with the owners of 88 cars that their cars were towed and impounded after a major street-takeover bust in Stockton. Seems the little angels from the illegal sideshow had been calling the sheriff's office and wanting their rides back.

Sheriff Patrick Withrow, however, had a very different plan in mind — and he bluntly told them on video, "No need to keep calling."

First off, authorities are holding on to all the impounded cars "indefinitely until they are processed, and the District Attorney advises they are no longer needed for prosecution," he said. But even worse for the street-takeover connoisseurs was Withrow's promise that "we will be looking into the merits of seeking a destruction order for any vehicle deemed to be a public menace."

KXTV-TV reported that street takeover at the intersection of Country Club Boulevard and Pershing Avenue "ended with crowds of people detained and law enforcement in riot gear."

"It was just an unreal scene from when I got there," Michael Garcia, who lives near Stockton's American Legion Park, told the station in regard to the sideshow bust. He added to KXTV that "people were there sitting down, detained."

The station said law enforcement stopped nearly all sideshow drivers and participants, which resulted in more than 150 people detained and 88 cars towed away.

Withrow added to KXTV that his department used a new tactic to stop the street takeover in its tracks: "They're becoming more and more violent, and so we feel that this is the best way to contain it. We were able to find out ... where it was going to occur and fairly quickly get people in place and then swoop in on all sides of that intersection there."

Bonus, part deux: Thugs climb on Tesla's hood amid Chicago street takeover, repeatedly pound, kick car — then one idiot gets schooled on Newton's third law of motion

Readers of Blaze News also may recall a story about a Chicago street takeover last October during which revelers were caught on video appearing to trap a white Tesla on Lower Wacker Drive — and some even climbed atop the hood to take selfies.

At one point, the driver — who seemed to be leaning on the car's horn — got irritated or scared or both and appeared to put the car in motion ever so slightly, after which those sitting on it immediately got off and then started to pound and kick the car.

Soon the Tesla driver apparently decided enough was enough and drove off, after which the escaping driver appeared to hit at least one of the street-takeover participants. A female let loose with a horrified shriek — as if the collision occurred in some left-wing vacuum where it's normal to climb on other people's cars and damage them and get away unscathed.

As militant leftists tend to do, they chased after the Tesla — which by that point had sustained damage to its driver-side mirror — and pounded and kicked the vehicle some more while a female hollered, "F*** this car up!" and another yelled, "What the f***, bro!"

The clip — which you can view here — ends with the Tesla veering through more traffic and sideswiping a vehicle.

Blaze News original: 10 gut-wrenching instances when thugs brutally attacked and injured police

It was reported earlier this year that physical attacks against New York Police Department officers reached unprecedented levels. Experts noted to the New York Post that anti-cop rhetoric and woke policies emboldening criminals have been fueling the rising number of attacks against cops.

Police Benevolent Association president Patrick Hendry told the paper that "well over 5,000 cops were attacked and injured last year" but that they "didn’t come out of nowhere. This dangerous environment has been building for years. ... It’s not going to get better until those who attack police officers are consistently prosecuted and kept in jail. And that won’t happen unless New Yorkers keep speaking up to demand an end to the chaos.”

'Let 'em whup his ass! Let 'em whup his ass!'

A 28-year-old female NYPD officer added to the Post that "everyone wants to fight.” She said she was assaulted while handcuffing a shoplifting suspect — and while the officer added that she sprained her hand in the incident, the suspect was released from jail the same day.

The following are 10 gut-wrenching instances when thugs brutally attacked and injured police. In one heartbreaking case, an officer died just a few days after he was pummeled.

Punk on parole accused of punching cop in face, breaking his nose — and judge releases suspect with no bail

A male with a long criminal record who was out on parole was accused of punching a Yonkers, New York, police officer in the face last September, breaking the cop's nose. But despite assault charges against the suspect and the district attorney's request for $150,000 bail, a judge decided to release the suspect with no bail, WCBS-TV reported. Police answered a Sept. 6 call concerning an unresponsive man on the sidewalk near Cypress Street and Yonkers Avenue, the station said. Officers on the scene tried to convince 39-year-old Johnny McCray to sit in an ambulance — and then McCray suddenly hauled off and punched a male officer in the nose, WCBS reported. According to the Yonkers Times, McCray was on parole through 2027 over a 2017 attempted robbery conviction for which he served most of his five-year prison sentence. The paper added that McCray had six felony and seven misdemeanor convictions on his record dating back over 20 years and had a history of not making court appearances. The punched officer went on leave after his injury, WCBS said, adding that he had just transferred to Yonkers from Bedford, which the station described as a "quiet community in northern Westchester." The judge reportedly decided on a no-bail release with GPS monitoring as the best way to guarantee McCray would return to court.

Trio of siblings convicted of aggravated battery against a police officer — and it all started with a stop sign violation

An officer with the Aurora, Illinois, police department on June 21, 2021, conducted a traffic stop for a stop sign violation, the Kane County State's Attorney's Office said. Paul Sherrod Taylor was driving the car, and his sisters — Jennifer M. Taylor and Sheba A. Taylor — were in the vehicle. Within seconds of the stop, Sheba Taylor exited the vehicle and refused to re-enter it despite the officer's orders, and then Paul Sherrod Taylor exited the car, aggressively approached and threatened the officer, and refused to re-enter the car as well.

Paul Sherrod Taylor shoved the officer, who was trying to handcuff him, and fled. The officer chased him on foot, after which Paul Sherrod Taylor stopped, turned, and aggressively faced off with the officer by putting up his fists and getting in a fighting stance while yelling at the officer to “keep running, boy.” The officer decided to wait for backup, but as he turned to walk toward his squad car, the Taylor sisters attacked him and repeatedly struck him. A police news release said the two female passengers began striking the officer with closed fists and kicking his body and head. The release states that the officer heard a male voice and then was struck repeatedly in the head from several angles, and a female passenger placed her forearm around the officer’s neck and applied significant force to his windpipe, causing him to lose the ability to breathe.

Paul Sherrod Taylor called 911 and threatened the officer to a dispatcher, stating multiple times that he would “kill” the officer unless police arrived immediately, and he was heard repeatedly screaming at the officer that “I’m going to kill you, bitch," the state attorney general's office said. Arriving officers saw Sheba Taylor sitting on the officer's chest and neck as Jennifer Taylor held him down; the arriving officers had to physically remove them. You can check out police video of the incident here.

The Taylor sisters each were sentenced to 120 days of imprisonment in the Kane County jail, 200 hours of community service, and four years of probation for committing aggravated battery against the officer. Their brother received a three-year sentence in the state Department of Corrections for aggravated battery to a police officer, threatening a public official, aggravated assault of a police officer, and resisting a peace officer, the state's attorney's office added.

Thug beats cop's face bloody in brutal attack livestreamed on Facebook while laughing onlookers encourage suspect

A North Carolina police officer was airlifted to a hospital after he was beaten while trying to make an arrest in October 2020 — and the attack was livestreamed on Facebook, left his face bloody, and featured laughing onlookers. The video lasted 11 minutes, WPDE reported, adding that the officer — who was repeatedly punched in the face — asked a man for assistance, but the man refused. While the video shows one man pulling the attacker away from the officer, another man is heard saying, "Let 'em whup his ass! Let 'em whup his ass!" Authorities charged Jamel Alphonso Rogers with assault with a deadly weapon with intentions to kill while inflicting serious injuries, kidnapping, and two counts of resisting a public officer, the station said. The officer suffered a broken nose and several facial cuts, WBTW-TV reported.

Suspect who allegedly helped beat up NYPD's highest-ranking uniformed officer, other cops amid Brooklyn Bridge protest released without bail

— (@)

A bloody brawl broke out on the Brooklyn Bridge between violent protesters and New York City Police Department officers in July 2020 during which eight officers were injured, including a sergeant, lieutenant, and Chief of Department Terence Monahan, the NYPD's highest-ranking uniformed officer. One police officer lost consciousness during the incident. Lt. Richard Mack with the department's Strategic Response Group was struck several times in the face, resulting in the fracture of his orbital bones and 12 stitches on his face. Quran Campbell, 25, was accused of physically attacking Mack, Monahan, and another officer — but he was released without bail after his arraignment on assault charges in Manhattan criminal court. Monahan said morale among NYPD officers is "as low as it's been in a long time," adding to Fox News that "on the street corners, there is a feeling that they don't have to listen to the police, and that they're willing to fight the police officers."

Officer beaten so severely in sneak attack that he was found in a pool of blood and with a dent in his forehead; he died soon after

Cpl. Keith Heacook of the Delmar (Del.) Police Department responded alone to a call about a fight in a home in April 2021, after which he was found unconscious in a pool of blood, apparently having been bludgeoned with his own baton, which was missing from its holster, a police source told Blaze News. Heacock was repeatedly hit so violently that there was a dent in his forehead, the source told Blaze News. A witness in the home reportedly claimed to have seen suspect Randon Wilkerson "throat-stomping" the officer. Heacock died a few days later, and Wilkerson — who was convicted of killing Heacook — was sentenced in December 2023 to two consecutive life sentences for murder charges and over 200 years for other offenses, DelawareOnline reported. The victim's son, Matthew, was 12 at the time of his father's murder and said in an impact statement that he "curled in a ball on the floor and cried for what seemed like hours" after he received the tragic news, the outlet added.

Male caught on police bodycam video charging at female officer, striking her with claw hammer

Police in Middletown, Connecticut, said Detective Karli Travis was investigating a complaint about noise and broken glass at a residence around 6:30 a.m. Aug. 12, 2023. Travis' bodycam video shows a man later identified as 52-year-old Winston Tate charging at the officer with a claw hammer. Authorities said Tate struck Travis with the hammer at least four times, Fox News reported. Travis responded by shooting Tate several times. Tate was charged with attempted first-degree assault, second-degree assault, assault on a police officer, and interfering with police. He was out on probation for assaulting another officer and had at least 30 prior arrests — including a third attack on an officer – and 14 convictions within the past six years, Fox News added, citing court records. He was jailed on more than $1 million bail, the cable news network said. The detective suffered significant bruising and also was recovering from a gunshot wound to her hand, Fox News said.

Thug smashes glass bottle on NYPD officer's head in unprovoked attack caught on bodycam video; suspect was arrested twice before for assaulting cops

The incident took place around 4:50 a.m. July 18, 2021, as a 67th Precinct officer stood on a street corner in the East Flatbush neighborhood of Brooklyn, WABC-TV reported. Bodycam video shows the suspect walking toward the officer and speaking, after which the officer raises his right hand in an apparent attempt to prevent the suspect from getting any closer to him. Seconds later, it appears the suspect moves closer to the officer, after which the officer appears to move the suspect backward with his right hand. The suspect reacts by taking a swing at the officer with a glass bottle, the station said. Police said officers caught up with the suspect and arrested him a block away, WABC reported. The attacked officer needed staples to close a wound to the left side of his head, the station said, adding that he also was cut on his hand, elbow, and left knee. The suspect — 27-year-old Tyshaun Holloway of Hackensack, New Jersey — was charged with assault, menacing, resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration, and criminal possession of a weapon, WABC reported. The station said Holloway was arrested twice in 2016 for assaulting officers in the Bronx and that he also has been arrested for two attempted robberies, making terroristic threats, and fare evasion.

Woman charged with aggravated battery against 4 Chicago cops is released 1 day after arrest — the first day cash bail is eliminated across Illinois

Esmeralda Aguilar, 24, was arrested after the incident that took place at 2:38 a.m. Sept. 17, 2023, in the 200 block of North Wabash Avenue, police said. Aguilar shot pepper spray toward a group of officers during Mexican Independence Day festivities in the Loop, CWB Chicago reported, adding that two officers were hospitalized. Aguilar was released the day after her arrest — the same day the Pretrial Fairness Act — part of the controversial SAFE-T Act — went into effect, Fox News said. The new law allows the release of charged individuals if they don't pose a danger to the community or are flight risks, the cable news network added.

After a separate incident on the same weekend, prosecutors charged Arturo Rodriguez, 46, with felony aggravated battery of a peace officer, the Chicago Tribune reported. They alleged Rodriguez on Sept. 17, 2023, hit a police officer lying on the ground in the back of the head with a wooden flagpole as officers tried to pursue and arrest two teens, the paper said, citing court records. The Tribune, citing a police report, said officers had been blocking traffic at the corner of West 26th Street and South Homan Avenue before the 1 a.m. attack. Vehicles with flags were in the streets throughout the neighborhood of Little Village for Mexican Independence Day, the paper said.

Thug takes swing at cop's face, knocks her flat on her back amid suspected shoplifting; bone in officer's face broken

A male was caught on video taking a swing at a New York City police officer's face and knocking her flat on her back outside a Duane Reade pharmacy in Manhattan's Murray Hill neighborhood in December 2021. You can watch surveillance video of the attack here. The clip shows the officer blocking the doorway and apparently speaking to the suspect when he grabs the officer, shoves her away, and exits through the doorway. The officer fights back and grabs the suspect as he continues to attempt to get away, but the suspect turns and punches the officer in the face, sending her tumbling backward and landing feet away and through the entrance of the store on East 34th Street. The officer suffered a fractured bone in her face and cuts to her ear, WABC-TV reported, adding that she was taken to a hospital in stable condition following the attack.

Mob swarms, physically attacks cop, punching and kicking him, after he responded alone to shots-fired call; one thug cackles that he caught beatdown on video

The incident took place on the night of June 3, 2021, in Jacksonville, Florida. Individuals in a crowd that the officer approached surrounded him and pushed him to the ground, punching and kicking him and shouting expletives at him. A video news report shows part of the attack captured on cellphone video, and the person who recorded it reportedly ran off laughing about the attack and how he caught it on video. Authorities arrested 23-year-old Jermisha Ramsey in connection with the attack and charged her with assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest, and street fighting. WTLV-TV reported that the officer suffered "multiple abrasions" in the attack.

Suspect apparently tries to steal vehicle's catalytic converter; gets killed when same vehicle allegedly runs over him

A man who apparently tried to steal a vehicle's catalytic converter was killed when that same vehicle allegedly ran him over in Sacramento, California, early Monday.

What are the details?

Initially, the 4:45 A.M. incident was reported as a collision involving a vehicle and pedestrian in the 8100 block of Timberlake Way on the eastern end of Methodist Hospital of Sacramento, the Sacramento Bee reported.

Arriving officers who found the man in question said he sustained serious injuries, the paper reported. He was taken by ambulance to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, the Bee added, citing Sacramento police. Investigators spoke to the vehicle’s driver at the scene of the collision, the paper said.

The deceased man was identified as 28-year-old Jose Adolfo Rangel, the paper said, citing the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office. Police said Monday afternoon that detectives believe the deceased man was tampering with the vehicle in an attempt to steal its catalytic converter, the Bee noted.

A paper said catalytic converters are part of cars' exhaust systems and contain metals highly valuable in the recycling market such as platinum, gold, rhodium, and palladium. The Bee added that those who steal catalytic converters from parked cars typically get underneath vehicles and quickly remove them.

Here's a recent look at catalytic converter thefts at Sacramento's airport:

Catalytic converters not safe fom theft at Sacramento International Airportyoutu.be

Not the first time

As catalytic converter thefts rapidly rise around the country, the fatality in Sacramento wasn't the first time a suspected catalytic converter crook was killed or injured during the act:

  • Last month a Wichita, Kansas, homeowner shot a suspected catalytic converter thief after the suspect approached the homeowner with a cordless saw.
  • In December, police in North Carolina said a man attempting to steal a catalytic converter from a Toyota Prius died when the car fell on top of him.
  • In November, two crooks opened fire on a man who spotted them trying to steal a catalytic converter on a Chicago street. Problem was that their target was a concealed carrier who had a much better aim, killing one of the crooks.
  • Similar to the North Carolina incident, police in Anaheim, California, in 2017 said a suspected thief was crushed to death when a car with a catalytic converter he apparently was trying to steal fell on him.

FDA Green-Lights Chemical Abortions But Pulls The Plug On Johnson & Johnson Vaccine

A day after gutting restrictions on abortion pills that studies have shown carry significant risks for women, the FDA called for states to halt use of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine.

VIDEO: Thug sprints across street, slams into 84-year-old man, flattens him on driveway. Victim later dies.

Security video captured the moment when a man sprinted across a San Francisco street toward an 84-year-old man walking across a driveway, slammed his body into the elderly victim, and knocked him flat on his back Thursday morning.

The victim — identified by family members as Vicha Ratanapakdee, a native of Thailand, KTVU-TV reported — was hit so hard he flew from the middle of the driveway and slid backward until the top of his head appeared to touch a garage door.

Ratanapakdee died Saturday, the station said.

What are the details?

Officers discovered the victim lying on the sidewalk in the Anza Vista neighborhood, administered aid, and called medics to transport him to a hospital for life-threatening injuries, KGO-TV reported. He died two days later.

Security video of the 8:30 a.m. incident was captured by a neighbor, KTVU said, adding that police said investigators later recovered the video and determined the assailant fled with a female associate.

What happened to the suspects?

Police on Friday obtained an arrest warrant for 19-year-old Antoine Watson for assault with a deadly weapon and elder abuse causing great bodily injury, the San Francisco Examiner reported.

Police added to the paper they were told the victim died of his injuries Saturday, and the department's Homicide Detail took over the investigation.

Officers from the police department's Tactical Unit and Homicide Detail served a search warrant on the 500 block of Lisbon Street in Daly City at about 8:45 pm. Saturday, where Watson and 20-year-old Maylasia Goo were taken into custody, the Examiner said, citing police.

Watson was taken to San Francisco County Jail and booked on the outstanding arrest warrant and one count of murder, police told the Examiner, adding that Goo also was taken to the jail and booked on one count of accessory after the fact.

The motivation for the attack wasn't clear, KGO said.

'Racially motivated'

KTVU spoke to the victim's family members, who believe the attack on Ratanapakdee was "racially motivated."

His relatives also said they've been receiving anti-Asian verbal attacks since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, the station reported.

Family member said Ratanapakdee — who came to the U.S. to live with family and take care of his grandchildren — was a gentle person and nearly blind.

16-year-old Ontario pedestrian killed in vehicle incident in Brock Township

Police are looking for witnesses after a highway incident claimed the life of a 16-year-old male on Monday night around 10:30pm.
